Paranoid assholes!!! Cancer patient with broken mouse simply trying to get an older mouse working. A LOGITECH mouse and program. Logitech Flow Scroll 4.00.33 is the name of the program. Tomorrow I am supposed to refill my medications; without them I will die! Because of you it is likely that others have ALREADY DIED! I am one of the first to use your browser, and have been loyal until today. As soon as I have copied my important bookmarks to IE, you are going bye-bye. You have become lazy, PARANOID, a-holes, and I will do my best to tell others what you have become. Eat shit. -Mistralok-

I have in office all users working with Thunderbird Ligtning callendar synchronised with Synology CalDAV server. CalDAV is configured on adres https://x.x.x.x:5006/ where x.x.x.x is public IP adress. By now all worked fine with Thunderbird 52.4. After upgrade to 52.6 calendar clients are not synchronising - login windows pop up many times and calendar has yellow triangle. If I change connection adress to local network adres https://y.y.y.y:5006/ of this same CalDAv server it is works fine (but onlu in LAN. I have try to upgrade to 52.7 and Ligtening 5.4.7 - still not work on public IP. Interesting is, that for new computer afer installation new Thunderbird 52.7 and Ligtening 5.4.7 everything is OK.

Basically I have Never Remember History enabled, and each time I open FF there's data in 'Cookies and Site Data'. Under 'Cookies and Site Data' it will say there's a bit of data (in the photo is says 16Kb, which is pretty typical). If I look under 'manage cookies and site data' there will be nothing there. Sometimes the cookies or cache or whatever is bigger if the last time I used that profile I was watching videos, at most it will be a couple Mb's maybe. If I wipe it out, it will go to 0Kb, and then for the rest of the profile session, even if I have a bazillion tabs open, it will say 0, but then there's always a cache there the next time I start that profile.

What is it? Why is there always a small amount of data in the 'Cookies and Site Data' section each time I restart a profile?

I'm currently running version 68.2.0esr on Debian Linux version 5.3.0-1-amd64. Extension: uBlock Origin 1.23.0

                 uMatrix 1.4.0
                 Canvasblocker 0.5.14.

Plugins: OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. (disabled) Version 1.8.1.1

Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc. Version 4.10.1440.19

I have web history turned off ('Never Remember History'), trackers blocked, cookies enabled w/ third party disabled, auto search engine update turned on, Do Not Track enabled, 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' enabled by default (b/c history is off). I might have changed a few tiny things in about:config but nothing I remember offhand. Any other system info I can look up in need be.

It is confusing to me about saving emails and folders to my PC from let's say an Outlook mail account. Please excuse my ignorance. I use TB extensively. I also save emails to what I thought was a safe subfolder that I created in the imap listing in TB on my PC. However, I was just reading that this is not safe. One should build a sub-folder in Local folders. Can someone please explain Local folders and how to make sure that emails/folders I safe when I store them. EX: When I or Outlook, delete emails and folders from Outlook acct., it does not affect my PC TB emails. This is greatly appreciated. God Bless

I am frustrated that the new Firefox is not working because they are unable to code to allow the use of Bitwarden.

As a person that requires a password storage that I can trust, I will probably leave Firefox because it does not allow the use of Bitwarden.

I have updated two e-mail clients to V.78. Both under OS-X.

On the first I created a PGP certificate for one e-mail account and saved that. E-mails show the certificate attached with Open PGP. That worked just great.

On a mobile device I can see that certificate signed using Open PGP for encryption (obviously requiring PK exchange before encryption can take place).

On the other mac, previously equipped with several CACert Identity verification certificates for a number of accounts, I have installed the certificate exported from the first machine on its mirror account - that verifies ok - this is not a certificate import/export problem. BUT the account will not send using PGP. It defaults to S/MIME and then complains that the CACert ID certificate is non-existent or expired - in fact it was expired and was deleted months ago and so is now non-existent.

Note that on this second machine there are 5 or 6 accounts, three of which have CACert ID certificates but the account which I was working on with the PGP certificate is no longer covered by a CACert ID certificate although it was previously so covered.

Is there a way to force Thurderbird to just stick with the PGP encryption certificate and to not try to find a non-existent CACert ID certificate for this account (or at all)?

Best regards,

Ian Beeby

Hello. I have been using Thunderbird on my Windows 8 pc for many years. Today, Thunderbird (TB) was acting screwy.

After launching TB, I kept getting multiple pop-up windows asking me to sign into Yahoo. As far as I know, I have no Yahoo account. While this was going on, I was unable to send any emails with TB. Every time I tried, a pop-up window would ask me to sign into my Yahoo account (which doesn't exist as far as I know).

In order to try and resolve this problem, I entered my email address and ISP log-in in the Yahoo pop-up window. I stopped getting pop-ups asking me to sign into Yahoo, and I was now able to use TB and send emails.

I then received one email message from Yahoo telling me "Your Yahoo account [my email address] was used to sign in to a new third party application on thunderbird." I don't understand this: 1) afaik, I have no Yahoo account; 2) I don't know what is meant by "a new third party application".

The email went on: "If this wasn’t you, please use this link to revoke third party access to your account, and change your password. You can also revoke access to thunderbird by going to yahoo.com and navigating to the Recent Activity tab under Account Info."

So now I am even more confused. Is my email account hacked? I do not want unknown third parties to access my email account.

My questions: 1) Why is Yahoo involved with my use of TB? 2) Why does Yahoo seem to think I have a Yahoo account, when I don't think I have one? 3) Has my email on TB been hacked? Do I need to change my password? 4) What does it mean that my "Yahoo account [my email address] was used to sign in to a new third party application on thunderbird." What is a "third party application on TB"?

If anyone can explain this to me, I appreciate it. I guess the good news is TB now appears to work normally and I can use it to send emails, and I no longer get pop-up windows telling me to sign into Yahoo.

Thx. jmp

I had two questions. One, Firefox always remembers history no matter what I do. I must run Ccleaner to clear Firefox history. Two, on many web sites there is no vertical navigation bar. These issues have not been answered. Now I only use Firefox to download Youtube videos and use Internet Explorer 11 for everything else. IE is more secure with all history easy to erase without resorting to Ccleaner. This is too bad, as otherwise I enjoy using Firefox more than IE or Chrome. If there is any solution to the two issues I have with Firefox, I would like to see them.

I have the latest Firefox running in Windows 8.11 on an hp laptop.
