I will ask questions using a translator because I can't speak English before asking.

First of all, I'm a Linuxmint user.

The image of the link above shows the SSL proxy in the manual proxy settings following the HTTP proxy. However, Firefox does not have an SSL proxy, making it impossible to type at all. I'm curious about the solution.

I checked it after updating it to the latest version for fear of possible problems with the update, but it was still causing problems.

Installed 68.10.0 on W7.

I choose not to have TB store my mail account passwords. But on this installation, it seems to have a 5-10 minute idle timeout on each account. It appears when I change folders within an account.

On other machines/MUA's the passwords keep until I close/restart the MUA.

I've searched through various settings and not found one for timeouts. Where is it hiding?

True Key closes down every time I close Firefox. I have True Key set to close every 7 days...and it works perfectly on my other browsers...yet Firefox won't keep it open. I must logon every time. I have fiddled with the settings, but can't seem to get past this. Can someone help? I want True Key to shut down with my settings in the app...not the browser. This problem has kept me from using Firefox and I would rather use Firefox. Thanks for your help!

How to login into FireFox account at https://accounts.firefox.com/signin - by using Dashlane password manager extension in FireFox (assume that FireFox browser has Dashlane extension properly configured, and that Dashlane auto-login is working correctly with other sites, from FireFox browser)?

It seems that login option is unavailable, but why? Why doesn't FireFox allow to have and use both? Or, at least - choose which one to use, and where? But specifically, on FireFox login? Can it be (at least) configured to work with 2FA hardware solutions, like with Yubico keys?

Also, if I understood this correctly, FireFox Lockwise can import usernames and passwords only from other browsers - but not from password managers? So, let's assume that I want to import everything from Dashlane into FireFox Lockwise, how should I do that in a most secure way? And which data would NOT be imported?

Thanks.

I was surfing through the internet when I faced this issue. The selfie camera pop-up without any reason. I couldn't reproduce the same issue again. But I got curious and found that many OnePlus 7/7T pro users have reported this issue. Since 7 & 7T pro have pop-up camera, it is noticeable. I have never noticed this on other browsers. mi users have reported this as well.

I am not sure if this is the right forum to post this. But to me it seemed like a serious privacy/security settings issue.

Hi! :-)

I am hosting a website with SSL access in a local network using a custom certificate. This naturally results in "This Connection is Untrusted" warnings etc., and I can "Add permanent exception". But I need to avoid the warnings altogether and have Firefox fully trust the certificate. The reason being that I need to make full use of PWA features like "Add to home screen" popups etc., and it seems these dont work with security exceptions.

So, trying to add this certificate (certificate generation commands can be found @ https://android.stackexchange.com/a/70123/223946), in Android, I selected Settings "Security" -> "Install from storage" and put it inside the "Trusted credentials". (Also see screenshot – taken from https://cheapsslsecurity.com/blog/install-ssl-certificate-on-android/) It is now successfully listed under "USER".

But nothing changed. Firefox mobile (tried both version 68 and Preview/Fenix) still does not trust the website, even after reboot. In v68, I even toggled about:config security.enterprise_roots.enabled back and forth without success. I also tried to import a self-signed root CA instead and sign the webserver certificate with it, but there are still warnings. All I am seeing right now is SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER. But it shouldnt be unknown?

Thanks so much. Phil

Firefox makes connection to 'locprod1-elb-eu-west-1.prod.mozaws.net' on every start of the browser. After trying to figure out if its caused by one of my addons I tried Safe mode and found out addons ware not the reason but after using Safe mode the browser started making connection and to d2nxq2uap88usk.cloudfront.net on every start too. The only info I have found for 'locprod.prod.mozaws.net' is that its related to geo.enabled but mine is set to False and for d2nxq2uap88usk.cloudfront.net the only thing for it is in block list for SpotifyAdBlock. I have already tried everything on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-making-automatic-connections .

Why does make Firefox makes those connections? What is transmitted? And How can I disable them?

I love tThunderbird, but, I get so many "confirm security exemption" messages it is becoming very hard to use. The help desk at the university where I work just says "we do not support that mail system, use the one we like". I would rather not.

I am attaching a JPEG of the certificate information.

I promise I have looked through your HELP blogs, and cannot find anything that works for me. I would be so happy if you could help me.

Hello, I decided to use your master password feature. I've written the password on paper for backup purpose. And everything worked fine for aprox. 1 month. But today to my surprise Firefox told me that master password is wrong. I've typed this password at least several times before (with success) so I was sure that I remember it correctly. Fortunately I had it on the paper. I checked it - and I realized, that I remembered it correctly. So I tried once again but I failed. I tried few times with the same result. I had the same password also for different site. So I logged on that site - with success. So my keyboard seems to work correctly. I didn't change master password in Firefox. At least I am not aware of that. It was unchanged for whole period I used this feature, as I wrote it wasn't long. Fortunately I have all important passwords saved on the paper so I decided to reset my Firefox Master password. It is possible that I've lost less important passwords but I can reset them because I still have access to my most important data. I do not need any help. And I am aware that I could made mistake of any type. But I decided to report that because there is also a chance that this is Firefox error so you should be aware of my case.
