Hey, im having some issues with Thunderbird recently.. Its been freezing and lagging for last two days, probably newest update causes that.. any other idea what could it be? Its happening on every device at my workplace. Mozilla team, fix it please. Thunderbird is our working tool.

I'm on a M1 Mac Mini running Sonoma 14.6.1, and my Thunderbird quit several times. I restarted and this time it isn't coming up at all. I'm going to try shutting down and then starting up after a few minutes. It started after I made a new Folder n TB and put a file into it from Experian.

I either can't view contents of any of my older emails in Thunderbird at all (see accompanying picture), or in some cases, they just show html text code. (Both the inbox and sent directories are affected.) I have followed the Thunderbird troubleshooting suggestions (e.g. disabling add-ons), and clearing the cache, but the problem remains.

My Thunderbird mail directory on the PC is D:\All Users\Thunderbird\Profiles\Macdonald\Mail\pop.broadband.rogers.com\inbox.sbd

FYI - The inbox contains ~7600 messages, while Sent has ~2180 messages.

This happened too much, like 6 times when using firefox in this month. I dont want to shut the program because I got unsaved notes in it. I was listening to music and it just began to play it non stop. and it dont respond.

please help, a million thanks!

I try to restart network or suspend the process nothing works. If I could make firefox reopen to it's original state+ cookies; no site reloaded and get back my incogico it would be much appreaciated. ALso everything was saved in firefox since I did not end the task, I dont want to lose those.

Thunderbird Quick Filter Toolbar has suddenly started splashing a couple popups when I start typing in the filter box. These popups effectively say "... click to..." but don't actually let me click; they just block the screen.

unable to use Thunderbird, try to open program and all I get is a white screen for 2-4 seconds, then a crash report pops up. Unable to get any further. Have uninstalled, cleared cache, reboot, then reinstall. Help appreciated. Win 10. Kevin

I then downloaded Chrome and everything works perfectly.

Can you please tell me how to get this site working properly on my computer, as I don't want Chrome on my computer.

Ever since I upgraded to 115.10.1 (from a much earlier version, which worked well), Thunderbird is randomly very slow.

First off, at opening time, it takes ages (over a minute) to download some incoming (small) messages - while this was definitely not the case with the previous version I was running. Sometimes, it hangs (for anywhere from 15 to 60 seconds) while I am typing a message.

Also, e.g. today, I tried to send an email (250 KB or so): it just kept on saying "sending". When I clicked (after a few minutes) to stop the sending, the window closed without further ado and I couldn't find the message anywhere (not in the Drafts, not in the Sent). I did it again, it then hung on copying the message to the "sent" folder. When it finally said it failed, and asked if I wanted to have it copied to a local folder, I clicked "yes". Upon checking, it had stored it in the "sent" messages, not locally...

I am running Windows 10 Pro, with ample memory and disk space, and a fiber optics connection. The CPU is not overloaded at all nor any other ressource.

It is becoming increasingly annoying.

I've been using FF since release #3 and like it a lot since I cut my teeth using NetScape. The past few days FF will not open one of my email accounts. When I click on login, it brings up the logging on page and then just starts blinking and will not sign me on. If I use MS Edge to sign on it works fine. The email account has been working fine for many years so don't know what to do. I've deleted recent history, but that does not help. Any ideas will be appreciated as I like FF and don't like to have to use two different browsers to do my daily tasks. Thanks in advance for any help you can suggest. I'm currently using release 131.0.3 with W-10 on a desk top PC with DSL from my phone company with the email account with their ID. My phone company does no know about or support FF.

I've updated my MacBook from MacOS 14 to 15.1.1 and it seems to have broken CardBook 97.5. I've checked for updates to the add-ons. I'll get in touch with the developers as well. Has anyone else experienced this?

So, today i opened up my firefox and loaded up youtube; it didn't load. I tried to check my wifi speed on speedtest by ookla...the website didnt work. Then i went to reddit to see if this was a bug affecting everyone anddd that also did not work. So, basically half of the websites that i use do not work right now and i can't figure out why. Everything was fine till yestderday and i havent changed any settings. Also, Wifi speed is not the problem here as i opened up ms edge and everything works.

I am having a continuing problem using fire fox to access websites. I go to a site to use one of their tools and have issues using or logging in to their site. I will go to a site where an accept cookies banner should pop up to continue and nothing pops up so I can't continue. I have tried the disable Enhanced Protection with no change in results. If I use Duck Duck Go, or Edge everything works. Firefox is my default browser, but it appears that you have made a change that is now impacting my ability to use websites. Sometimes things work if I go into Troubleshooting mode, but I can't determine where the problem is. I use Norton as my anti-virus and internet security and have turned it off as part of my troubleshooting but that does not help.

Please provide guidance.

My emails were all working (accounts were setup fine). Then, recently, when I opened Thunderbird, the main area (where my messages are displayed) is empty. If I choose another folder, still empty. BUT, the folders all say that there are messages in them (see the attached screenshot)

I have tried the following... 1. Opening Thunderbird in Troublshooting mode: This works, and the messages appear. But I don't want to have to open troubleshooting mode every time. 2. I have ZERO extensions installed, so asking to disable them obviously wont do anything. 3. I have tried to repair the folders (I have tried to repair the default inbox folder, and then tried to repair them all ... nothing worked). 4. I have backed up my thunderbird files, and tried reinstalling Thunderbird. Still didn't work. 5. Hello!

A very important email folder in my Thunderbird just vanished. I didn't touch anything! My email was downloading very slowly and so I closed the entire Thunderbird application. When I re-opened it, the folder was gone. Everything else is there as before - all other folders, my inbox etc.

I have no idea what happened or where the folder went. I can't find anything online that addresses the problem or how to solve it. I'm very much a tech novice. I need a solution that a 5 year old could navigate lol

Since last two updates, I noted I can't click on the URL field or any icons next to each other two versions ago. I changed the Bluetooth mouse to a lined mouse, then it went OK. But with the latest update, again, the same symptom occured and persists: I am on MacBookPro, so I manage to Command+any command key.

How can I restore and click on URL field, copy URL, or reload the URL address again? OF course, I need to use other icons for each function.

As the subject says Firefox very suddenly started giving me terrible loading times, despite all the sites working perfectly fine on other devices and browsers. Issue continued with troubleshooting mode, not sure where to go from here. I will open youtube, it won't load about 5 thumbnails, I click on a video and it sets it to 140p and then it still lags the entire video as if I was using 1kbps internet. I tested my wifi connection and its having no problems. Something similar happened when I used to use Opera GX, it was fine for a long time and then one day terrible performance. Please let me know where to go from here. Windows 11 Pro.

The app can be opened and used, but it has to load for about 2 minuter between each input. The error first appeared after the 7th August update. When I try and click on the app, it starts using about 125 MB of RAM memory and the "Not responding" text appears.
