55.0b2 (32bit) One main account address and 2 rarely used addresses. Doesn't happen a lot, but can be confusing when recipient gets an email from me that they don't recognize and when they reply to it, it goes to one of the accounts I rarely check. I know I am not just accidentally sending from wrong address as I never send out from those accounts, only receive.

Ever since the last update I have not been able to view messages by email address nor get a listing of messages that I can scroll down and delete one by one or en masse. Is it possible for me to go back to an earlier version?

I am using Thunderbird 24.6.0. I have tried to delete a contact from collected addresses with no luck. Whenever I delete an address and then shut down Thunderbird, it reappears when I next start Thunderbird. How can I overcome this?

Sometimes when I receive an attachment 'paperclip icon' there is no option to 'open or save' it and I cannot see contents. It is not every time but enough times that it is very frustrating, and cannot find any solution online.

I can have my address book in alphabetical order. When I close it then open it again, it is no longer in alphabetical order. There must be a simple way to fix this - I'm just not too much into computers.

Sent box for this account only will post twice. It is the only IMAP I have using Thunderbird, the others are POP and do not have this issue. Any recommendations to stop double listing in the sent box. Regards, Darryl

If I load the offending .thunderbird profile onto my computer, also on Linux, I get the same result although my own Thunderbird profile displays correctly. I have searched the settings to no avail. Any assistance to solve this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Your help topic answer says that the default position of 'delete message' in the right click index menu is on the bottom. But after installing the upgrade it now appears in the middle. This makes the process of deleting emails much slower. I dont want a filter on this email account. Can I move it to the bottom or uninstall upgrade?

The image attached is of a typical contact box. If I close it the next one appears in a slightly different place on my screen. This happens one at a time. I assume that they are from Thunderbird, but if not, please let me know. This has just started happening, and I've no idea how it started - I can't think of anything I've done to cause this.

Some while way back when I created & exported my address book as an LDIF file, lots of these links had the option for show remote content checked. As the list has grown the file has been re-exported as LDIF to keep it up to date

When I import the file for a clean profile, the remote content check box's have been reset. Needless to say as the list grows the number of contacts to reset also.

Is this unchecked by default for security reasons, Setting stored in some other file? Any way to import with this setting in tact

I want to send a message to a lot of people as BCC letters. The default address is TO. It seems I have to change each one separately and manually to BCC. Very tedious work. Is there a way to rubber-band them and change them all to BCCs with one action?

Am 73 and just moved to Firefox from Windows Live where I could change and sort ports etc. Am trying to get my MSGTAG mail tagging back up to work. Have failed to sort what to do. Is anyone able to give me some geriatric a,b,c idiot proof steps. I am too old to be PC. I am a Geri  :-)

The above addon somehow deleted all my contacts in 3 address books. The author has an article that tries to help but is somewhat confusing. I was able to find the .MAB files and they appear to be my contacts. Does anyone know how to restore contacts from these files? I'm close to desparate.

I receive email consisting of firewall logs and they are routed, via Message Filters, into a folder. I would like to programmatically save any/all messages into a folder as a text file. The message can be saved "as is", I'm just looking to get it out of the .eml format into a text format.

What I am asking, appealing, for is a pointer to scripting language/tools. Is the answer in writing my own extension? Does someone already have an extension out there (I could not find anything after a couple scans of Add-Ons, but I do not dismiss the possibility that I am blind)?
