deleted email lists still auto-match when typing "to:" address

I have deleted several email lists. I have some new ones with similar names (e.g., list1, list2 are deleted, list1new, list2new are the new ones). I tried reusing the old names, but it caused errors (too long ago, sorry don't remember the exact errors). When I type the list name in the address area (to:, bcc:, etc), the displayed matches include the deleted lists. How do I either 1) remove them from the auto-complete list or 2) completely delete them so that I can reuse the original names (which ever is easier). I hope my question is clearly worded. Hi, I've been desperately needing to import my WLMail data to TBird but I feared I'd find obstacles on each step and so it was...Please help:

I made up a folder under Local Folders to receive the imported data but when right clicking on it, it didn't show the ImportExportTool, even though I have it installed (at least I see it, twice, on my Downloads file).

Or, maybe, it's not quite installed? I clicked to open it with Photo gallery but didn't work. So I chose WordPad and when I opened this one...the entire file was garbled!

I don't know what else to do, I've been going round and round... Please help! thanks so much!

Please help me. I've spent all day trying to connect Thunderbird to Gmail. I've followed the advice on here (disable two-step verification, enable apps with less security), I've uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird, I've even changed my Gmail password but none of it works. I've got Thunderbird on my other computer and it works fine. The server settings I am using on both computers are the same. Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong before I give up completely? Please use very simple language as I'm not an IT expert. Many thanks

I am using Thunderbird 24.6.0. I have tried to delete a contact from collected addresses with no luck. Whenever I delete an address and then shut down Thunderbird, it reappears when I next start Thunderbird. How can I overcome this?

I have updated one or more contact addresses in the Address entries. Upon closing and opening again Thunderbird (45.6.0 and earlier versions), the old information comes back in the entries that were updated as well as any entries that were deleted again are in the Address list. I created another section and updated it with all the contacts I wanted. I then exported all entries to save what I had done. I then closed and then opened Thunderbird. Again the original set does not show any changes or that any entries were deleted, however the new section has all the correct entries and information.

Can anyone explain why this happens and how to correct the problem?

Doesn't happen a lot, but can be confusing when recipient gets an email from me that they don't recognize and when they reply to it, it goes to one of the accounts I rarely check. I know I am not just accidentally sending from wrong address as I never send out from those accounts, only receive.

Right clicking a group in the contacts side bar does not offer the 'Load group into side bar' option.

I use this option to deselect some addresses in the group. When Thunderbird updated, this option went away. I have tried uninstalling, and reinstalling various versions of Thunderbird to no avail. 24.6, 24.7, 31.3 I believe version 38.2 is the one it updated to when the option went away. Not having this option causes me to do lots of extra work. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

How do I find Thunderbird in Afrikaans?

I once found a page which said: download Thunderbird in Afrikaans. When I clicked it the download was done in English and the e mail page was also English.
