I have used Firefox for years with my MSN/Outlook emails. Recently, something has changed that has caused typing emails to a nightmare. As I am typing the "system" is constantly suggesting text and I do not know how to remove that feature. Each time this happens I have to stop and either hit the tab key or fiddle around with the space bar to get past this problem and continue typing what I want to write. Also, as I am replying to an email, the "system" occasionally opens another email document and at the same time moves the email I am trying to respond to. It moves the email, not to trash, but to Archive. I never use the archive feature. How do I fix these problems. Something has obviously gotten changed in "settings" but I cannot figure out where or how to fix. The "suggested text" feature is disasterous and annoying and it has got to be removed somehow. Please help.

Firefox password support automatically interferred with an attempt to set up an account with a provider. How do I get that password and how do I prevent Firefox from automatically adding passwords without my permission?

The root problem is that when I try to open a movie in a web browser, I get the message "Oops. Your web browser is no longer supported. " see attached.

1370719 had a response that made no sense to me.

Is there anyway to fix this issue?

I have loved being a Mozilla-stuff user intermittently since teaching on Netscape 1.1, and now am making Firefox 98.02 my default browser. I like both Safari and Firefox, and sometimes use them simultaneously for two accounts on the same service (not right now). My physically pristine 2015 Mac cannot install OS's past the 10.12 I have, so Safari is failing. But I am exasperated at runarounds when trying to set up this Firefox account. I used the emailed verification code and seemed to get in, but got the red-box message "This account... administrator... error." I cannot tell whether the site is letting me use it normally, but I think not. I just spent an hour in help forums. Geesh, tech complexity has mushroomed since my LAN work in the 90s, and you volunteers get to cope with inarticulate queries like mine! Upload is failing of jpg screen shot that has been made anonymous. Help?

Since about a month ago I can't drag a file from a folder to an open email in Firefox. Was always able to, but it stopped a few weeks ago. I read that the new 99.01 version would fix this, I installed it today and the problem persists. What am I missing? Thank you to anyone who reads, cares and replies with solution.

Today I tried to place an online order to pickup from Texas Roadhouse, but no matter what time I chose a message said it was not available. The only selection that worked was "Earliest Available Time". Finally I called to place an order. Firefox worked 2 months ago but I don't recall which version I was using at the time.

Today I was using FF vers 97.x and later updated to vers 99.0.1 figuring that might be the problem, but it made no difference.

Later I tried Windows 10 Edge & that worked. Then tried a Chromebook & that also worked.

I've also had problems going to the Tracfone website & so have several other people. It's hit or miss with Firefox & usually it doesn't work. But Chrome or Edge seem to work for everyone.

Is this a website problem or a FF problem?

I travel for work and often stay at IHG properties (Holiday Inn, etc.). I have Firefox as my default browser; version 99.0. I cannot login to their wifi using Firefox; I have to copy the address and paste it into Google Chrome and after confirming my information I am able to browse normally until the next day; It must reset at some point.

I am using Windows 10 with Firefox 99.0 and I am trying to configure a Manual Proxy but my Proxy settings are all grayed out so I cannot even select Manual Proxy. I am logged in to my Firefox account. This happens both with and without VPN.

When I try to log into chase.com, I'm told my (FireFox) browser is out of date, but I am running the latest version. What can I do?

With the new version (99) I can no longer automatically launch my Revue by Bluebeam application and instead forces me to download the link, which I can then click on to launch the Revue application. There is no choice in settings for the BFX extension to automatically launch my Bluebeam Revue application. The result is my computer is filling up with downloaded links for Bluebeam, which I then have to go in and delete on a continual basis. I do not have that problem in chrome, which someone said is why you guys made the change to switch from automatic launching like chrome did, however I do not have that problem in Chrome. What a shame I have to keep two different browsers

On opening many websites I think they've created a new trick - dropping to the bottom of the page so you have to scoll through all pages to get to the top - is there a way of preventing this?

When I print something from the web, it prints tiny and in the upper left corner. Edge works fine. This is only something that happens when I print from the web; no matter how I set the controls. The print previews look fine, BUT!

I have to curate and compile sheets of announcements for a local humanitarian service provider forum. I do this by sifting through my Office 365 emails, and double clicking those that contain announcements so they open a window, then sorting the windows on a second screen, then read them, summarize them, file the pertinent information with links for my summaries, and when I get a page of them, send them out. I usually start with about 15 announcements on my other screen, and it takes me some time to get them all sorted and cascaded in order for the curation.

Some of them link to PDFs which Office 365 doesn't always preview and I click download, and this used to open them in the main browser window in a new tab, where I could read them and then save them. Recently, this behavior changed and they now open right in the window the email is in, with no bars of any kind or tabs to get out of them again. I hit the stack of pancakes button, and it had a tab marked Exit, so I thought that would exit me from the view.

Instead, counterintuitively, it exited me completely from FireFox, closing all of my carefully cascaded windows of announcements, and my main browser window with Office 365 in it and everything else.

Thanks a bunch. 1) What was so wrong with the previous setup that you needed to change it? 2) How for the love of whatever the author of this new "feature" was smoking, do I get it to revert to the email or is opening these attachments by "download" no longer possible without punting the whole thing to exit? 3) Does this mean I need to permanently disallow Firefox as the browser for all my PDFs or is there some way of doing something non-fatal to my work on a per-boot basis?

I download some documents and save them on my hard drive. When I open them, it opens Firefox instead of opening Acrobat reader. I need to be able to work offline with them in Adobe - I do not want the HTML version. This has only started happening recently. If this can't be solved I will have to try another browser. I am a reasonably savvy user but I am not a technical expert. Thanks for any help going - I am desperate. They all seem to have saved themselves as HTML documents. Any ideas?
