For the past year or two I have been getting update popup messages. I have tried to update my version of Foxfire but each time the update process fails. The version I have seems to work well so I don't feel I need a newer version. So for the past year or two I have ignored the reminder except when it is in the way of something I need. However that annoying window seems to repeat 10 or 15 minutes after I cancel it. How can I get rid of window short of converting to DuckDuckGo?

when I try to open thunderbird via windows 10 i get this message.

Downloaded FREE Thunderbird set up. Which then transfers me to two providers who charge. Am I doing some thing wrong or is this just a con? Feel my one off donation has been taken under false pretences.

Often but not always clicking on a link does not work. It can be a link to a video or it can be a link to go to the next step of purchasing something. I click the appropriate place and Firefox just sits there. It may show a icon saying it is trying but it never does anything. This doesn't happen all the time but often enough to make it annoying. I have the latest version of Firefox installed, but this has been happening for a while now. If i use a different browser it goes through with no issues.I am using Windows 10.

Around 12/8/2021 I allowed an update and it messed up my comcast.net email. I had to do a system restore to an earlier date and finally fixed it. Now I am afraid to allow anymore updates. What is your solution?

Hi, I have a problem with your browser. 95.0 (64-bit) win 10 pro. The very first time I open firefox and enter search, the browser is idle for about 20-30 seconds, and only then it load the page. After that, every other websites, new tabs and everything else works fine. But if I close the browser, and open it again, same thing happens, I have to wait about 20-30 before first website or search results are loaded.

There is an older couple I assist. They couldn't sign in to their mail with Thunderbird so I assisted them with that and as Thunderbird syncs, it shows only a few emails. Before closing and opening Thunderbird again I make a copy of the directory in the file explorer. There was an Inbox file that was over 100 MB in size. After I launched Thunderbird again it either disappeared or was only a few KB.

Is there any way to retrieve all the emails from this Inbox file?

The longer story of the situation is the couple went to a computer class and for some reason the teacher wanted them to use Gmail as their mail application. I have no clue why as Thunderbird on the PC and Mail on iOS had worked very well. She had Gmail retrieve from their mail service via POP but left the Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server checkbox unchecked. So they have gone from having a decade or two of emails to a year or two. I have the directory copied and am hoping the emails can be added.

Hi Firefox,

I am not a fan of these pre-installled themes. I was given no choice with the update and then found the browser had switched to dark without my asking. I would like to have the same look I had before the change, which was Firefox default.

That's what I am used to and it is disrupting my browsing experience trying to deal with something that looks different, not to mention the frustration of wasting time looking through themes without avail to try and find one that takes to what it was.

So could I ask please can we either have the option to switch themes off and just have things work the way they used to be? Or else maybe an option where we could download and install a theme that is called something like Firefox Classic/Default? If such a thing already exists I would appreciate if someone could point out where to find it.

A web page shortcut I added to my home screen now requires me to tap the tabs icon to get to it. This is inconvenient and stupid. Some page shortcuts go directly. What is the problem with this new Firefox update?

Periodically I'll download several emails at the same time from multiple people, but one of the email's content completely overwrites the content of the other emails downloaded at the same time. This is not repeatable in any way I can initiate; just happens every so often (e.g., ~once a month). It happened to my wife's Thunderbird email today - which is a first that I know of. Any idea what causes this? We download from Gmail if that matters.

The new version of Thunderbird opens a window when an event in the calendar is opened (double clicked). Then I have to choose to edit it. This introduces an extra step in the process, apparently for no good reason. Why open a window? What can you do with it? It's a useless step. I open several events per day and it has become annoying, enough so that I am considering a change in applications. Please, get rid of that extra step. Also, it took me 15 minutes to determine how to leave a message.

I downloaded the admx files for Mozilla Firefox and put them in with the other Windows provided Administrative Local Policy Templates, thinking that it SHOULD show up in the Group Policy Editor tool provided with Windows 10. Apparently I could not have been more wrong. Does anybody know how to make the template show up on a non-domain (Home PC running Windows 10 Pro) computer? Granted, I know I can't control it from "Active Directory" since there is none, but I still want to add this functionality to the PC.

What I have tried: I renamed C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions to C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions.old I then Reopened GPEditor and verified all templates had been cleared of viewing (Empty set). I then created a new folder called C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions and copied the files into it. It refuses to read the Firefox, but everything else shows back up. I downloaded the files again, and reinstalled them, but it still does not show up. I then Rebooted the PC, but my attempts were futile. Any assistance would be appreciated.
