I have a 2020 Mac Mini with Ventura 13.2.1 on it. I have four virtual desktops which are part of the OS. I place various apps on the others like stocks and weather etc. to diminish clutter on screen. Firefox shows up on all 4 of them. I want it on only one desktop. Safari works on only one and doesn't show in the other 3 desktops. I have searched the net but haven't found anything that speaks to this in particular. Thanks for any help with this and I hope it's just a simple setting. Regards, Jim Stephens

I just did a search, and received a response from Firefox stating I am the 5-Billionth, and have won a prize. Is this real, or a scam? I'm not entirely sure what's happened, but I can describe it. My Macbook Air crashed for reasons unknown, and upon rebooting it, I attempted to open Firefox, but was met with the message "A copy of firefox is already open". I found some old guide on using Terminal to discover two different profiles for Firefox. After restarting my computer, I accessed my Firefox tabs from before, but now when I open links from my email account, they default to opening up a new Firefox window, one where it seems my bookmarks don't exist. How do I remove the second profile without losing my bookmarks?

I want to be able to close Firefox and have all cookies and site data removed - but I want to keep my history.

Checking the box to do just this in 'Privacy & Security' will delete cookies when I close Firefox - but all the site data remains. Under 'History' I have 'use custom settings' enabled, as well as 'remember browsing and download history'. I've tried various permutations of this, but can't get it to do what Firefox says it will.

Being able to do this is one of the main reason I want to use Firefox, but it doesn't seem to work. I have to manually delete both cookies and site data.

Any suggestions to try to delete cookies and site data when Firefox closes, but remember history?

Hi there. I'm using Firefox on a windows and linux laptop with the same settings and version (98.02). On windows the Autofill Credit Cards settings show up, but on linux they don't. I already checked this question https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1305626 and applied all settings in about:config that were suggested there. I have no clue, why the two operating systems differ in that way.

I cannot disable google document viewer in Google Drive. Every time I go to open a recently downloaded PDFs in Google Drive, it invokes Document Viewer unless I specifically right click and tell it to open with Acrobat. I have disabled everything thing I know in both Chrome and Firefox, cleared the caches, rebooted, and the default behavior persists. Worse, the Document Viewer REQUIRES a complicated, infuriating sign in process that has only worked ONCE in dozens of sign in attempts. Please help with this.

Hi,

i am having a rather weird and persistent issue. When I try to open a specific website, namely www.westend61.de, this Firefox tab crashes, as seen in the provided screenshot. With a normal website this wouldn't bother me so much, but this page is the main page of the company I work for, and therefore I and potential customers must be able to reach it. That being said, this does not necessarily have to be a Firefox problem, the issue could also be on the server side. But the website works on other computers, other operating systems and other browsers. As far as I know, the website works fine, this computer using this browser being the only exception. I worked my way through the Firefox support page:

- checked for newer firefox version - checked for newer compatible MacOS version - checked for newer graphics driver - disabled all firewall, anti virus software - started firefox in Safe Mode - reinstalled firefox & deleted all profile data - disabled hardware acceleration - set webgl.disabled to true - again safe mode

The tab crashes every time. This computer is an old End 2015 iMac running Monterey and the newest Firefox. - More information can be found in the troubleshooting information and the crash report: https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/bb11e42d-9fc9-4061-b89c-4c6400220503

Thank you very much.

Because of my work I have to use a specific car rental company but recently I am unable to log in to my account on their website via Firefox. Safari, which I prefer not to use, is no problem but if I try to log in using Firefox it gets stalled on the spinning wheel. I have an ad blocked but I had already turned it off for accessing that particular site, I think I just got a browser update, it just doesn't want to log in. Anyone have any ideas? I'm on a Macbook, OS 12.4. Firefox says it's up to date, version 102.0.1

I cannot log into certain web sites using Passwords with Firefox. Yesterday I was unable to upload an invoice on the Kensington.com site. Today I am totally blocked in my city's municipal web site. https://www.newtonma.gov/ I am trying to report a missed recycling pickup at their "301" site on the front page, and I have an account, but it will not accept the existing passwords and trying to change it blocked any further efforts, giving me a dead end by saying any password I use with Firefox is invalid. It's not all sites but it is some sites. The problem occurs with both Firefox 99.0 and Firefox99.01. Using it on a Mac running Big Sur, 11.6.5

When playing music on music.youtube.com, if I navigate away from the tab, by either moving to a different tab or opening a different application the music pauses. This happens consistently with two different Firefox profiles.

I admittedly have a quite a few plugins installed, so I tested this in a private window and this issue does not occur.

I attempted disabling the obvious plugins UBlock, 'I don't care about cookies', and Tampermonkey without any success. I also tried using a different user-agent without any success.

edit: removed erroneous error information

I watch videos on dropout.tv which uses the Vimeo SDK as their player for the videos. After switching to Firefox, the video progress has consistently started from where I left off on Chrome. The site doesn't remember where I ended the video when I watch it on Firefox. I assume this has to do with the cookies, but I've manually added "dropout.tv" to the list of exceptions in Firefox settings so that that site is always allowed to store cookies.

Returning briefly to Chrome, the player immediately tracked my progress again, so the issue is definitely related to Firefox somehow.

I don't know if this is a problem with my installation, but websites without specific favicons (e.g.: https://forum.librivox.org/index.php?sid=fd7dca1ba59c207dd25121695677d565) don't have a placeholder icon in the tab. Is this intended behavior? There's the globe icon for bookmarks without favicons, couldn't that be used if a website doesn't have one? I think that would contribute to some visual consistency :)

I have looked across various support forums for information on this, I only see posts regarding favicons and bookmarks, not the tab itself, so apologies if this has been asked and answered already!
