I filed the defect on Oct 20 but there is no activity according to bugzilla.mozilla.org, so I'm hoping members of the community can offer advice.

On app startup, the "quick filter" search always shows the search string "barrett" from a search of Inbox that I made weeks ago. This defect has been around since, probably, Oct 10.

I almost always shut down the app with no search string, but on re-start, it's back. I can enter a different search string, leave it in place, shut down, but then on restart "barrett" reappears.

It's not a huge problem but in 20 years as a Thunderbird user it's the first time I've seen it. Thank you.

Thunderbird is crashing more and more everyday. I do not know how to fix this. When I have to reboot my laptop, I do not get the email I was working on. Super frustrating!!!!!!! 91.3.1 is an unmitigated disaster putting me into the dustbin labelled 'unproductive'.

I have used Thunderbird for decades (can it be that long?) and have meticulously setup and used the program for ALL of my work and personal emails i.e. full dependency; with never any issues or downtime on all updates until now.

After the latest update it is literally unusable.

I tried every trick known to man and to Google and to no avail i.e. removed add-ons, shift start, uninstall/reinstall etc, etc.

Thunderbird 91.3.1 is for unfathomable reasons...finally broken.

W10 version used is 21H1 (OS build 19043.1348)

I'm politely requesting that this issue be sorted out...

Hi,

I have a problem with thunderbird crashing every time I enter settings. Ver. 91.3.2 x64

When browsing emails it crashes occasionally, not a big deal, but every time I enter the settings menu it displays "not responding" and starts to "eat" RAM. Goes up to 4GB and makes my processor go to 100%. I can enter account settings with no problem and everything else. But not the settings. Tried even in safe mode - no change. This started to happen after 91.x.x update.

I have very important emails and data in thunderbird,and using it non-stop.

Can you please help me?

Since a few days, I keep experiencing constant crashes with Firefox. In the most common way, a Tab will crash first, often followed shortly by the whole browser crashing. Crashes occur on, but are not limited to, following pages: • YouTube.comReddit.com • Google Account Login • about:preferences • about:crashes • about:support • The very same Support-page I’m writing this on Crashes still occur after: • Rebooting Computer • Clearing of Cache • Starting in Safe Mode (crashes in Safe mode) • Deactivation of hardware acceleration • Refreshing Firefox • Reinstallation of Firefox (Uninstalled with the Uninstall/helper.exe) • Use of Windows Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool (DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth)

Crash logs list: • Crash Reason EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT Crash Address 0x00007ff88082381f • Crash Reason EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ Crash Address 0x000001f4465fffe8 I’m kind of out of options. Most support pages are 2 years or older, so I don’t really know if I’m experiencing the same errors as they did. If there’s any more information required, please let me know.

I posted a question on this Forum 12/9/21, 4:48 AM. Matt answered and I did not understand his answer. We proceeded to exchange several emails, his last said "...perhaps the discussion can move forward." But I am unable to answer his last email, there is no place on the screen to provide an answer???

I still have the same problem and the same error message from TB: "Server imap.aol.com has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem."

Once this message appears, TB will not display the messages in my several subfolders.

Any and all help appreciated. Thank you.

Firefox no longer loads pages or opens settings

When using Firefox I noticed that some pages weren't loading. I found it weird how no matter how I tried I couldn't get them to load. The already loaded pages were videos which were loading fine. Now nothing loads anymore.

I tried to go into settings or the help menu but those weren't loading. Now I am staring at a blank window with nothing but a search bar that doesn't work.

In the middle of this it came up with an error VIS something? It said that I had a missing file and said that reinstalling Firefox was the way to go. I've reinstalled Firefox already but it's done nothing but remove the error message and I still can't do anything.

extension wouldn't work freeze 6 to 8 instances in task manager

I have tried to do a clean install 4 or 5 times. Deleted profiles, went on a hunt for files to eliminate.

will do a google search 3 or 4 times after reinstall, but won't connect to other sites then it won't connect to google either. I'll get the 6 to 8 instances in the task manager that I have to kill.

Since last Friday I have been experiencing an ongoing issue with the Firefox application. Simply put I opened the application and all I saw was a blank screen, I still had the basic format/layout but nothing was coming up including error messages. The weird thing is is that I am experiencing the same issue on both my computer and laptop, both run windows 10 and are up to date on software. I verified that the antivirus/firewall isn't interfering with the application, other web browsers are functioning properly, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, cookies have been cleared, Firefox has been refreshed, computer restarted, new Firefox profile created, and verified by Webroot and Windows Defender that no malware is present.

I tried troubleshooting more today and I was able to at least get a webpage to load, but if I tried visiting another webpage in that same tab, Firefox would hang up. What allowed me to get a webpage to load (at least the first one) was by disabling the webroot extension. I've attempted to run Firefox with all extensions disabled but I am still having the same issue.

Other features that wont work are tools under the more tools tab, I was able to get the browser console open and took a screenshot of that, hopefully that may shed some light on the issue, any help would be great appreciated, thanks!

Last night my firefox stopped working. Any time I used a bookmark or typed in a website, it would start to load and just sit at a blank screen continuing to load but not doing anything. I checked in another browser and it worked just fine, so it’s not my internet. I’ve tried closing and re-opening firefox, any time I open it now it says it’s already running and I need to close the previous session. I have tried un-installing and re-installing firefox, clearing my history and cookie cache, and restarting my laptop multiple times but nothing is working. I would appreciate any help with this, thank you.
