Not sure which of the two more or less simultaneous updates causes this problem.
Initially, I had an immediate password fail.
Rogers (my ISP) acknowledged the requirement of changing the userID from name to email address. I did this, and the password now succeeds. Host contacts successfully, login info is sent, but then when it tries "downloading message 1 of *", I get the following fail:
The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server pop.broadband.rogers.com responded: defenderWKS-SpamStamp: Build: [Engines: 2.15.7.1023, Dats:
Has anyone seen this and can fix? The Rogers tech support (they don't formally support Mozilla) says the email address fix has gotten the Outlook and Apple users up and running, hasn't heard from anyone on Thunderbird and can't help.
I hate the thought of switching to Outlook, for lots of good reasons. Would really appreciate anyone with a fix and can step me through it.
