back ground colours on web pages have disappeared recently. It may be due to the lastest upgrade on the 11th August. How can I bring back the back grounds colours on web pages ?

Maybe this should be in Install and Update. In Firefox on Ios (vers 34 I think it was) the tabs froze in the tabs overview. To solve the problem I then maybe foolishly updated to 35. No more freeze but now I cannot see what is being blocked in Tracking protection (neither in strict or standard mode). Then updated to 36 -still no blocking info.

For some strange reason today, when I attempt to login to Facebook, I get a message that says "Server Not Found". Your program doesn't know what Facebook is??????

Today I received an email that Lockwise is being reabsorbed into Firefox on iOS. I currently use Lockwise as the password manager for iOS, but it doesn’t appear as if Firefox has that functionality. Are there plans to offer that functionality before Lockwise is retired?

I’ve been using FireFox religiously on my iPhone for a long time. The primary reason is that FireFox is the only reputable browser that disables Google AMP.

Google AMP is terrible for both publishers and users. It usurps content from publishers and forces users to visit a wonky cached version of a site rather than the real webpage. Legitimate publishers lose money, and malicious site gain legitimacy by getting promoted in Google’s news carousel and appearing as if they’re vetted by Google. Publishers and content creators surrender their ability to choose what advertisers they partner with, and Google decides for them while taking a significant cut. If a publisher doesn’t comply, they won’t show up on Googles news carousel. It’s terribly unethical, but it makes Google money so it’s here.

Users have to deal with poor formatting and scaling. If you open a Reddit link from Google, you get an overlay that asks you to “Open Reddit” or “Continue.” Google AMP blocks the Continue button so you can’t see anything. News sites like BBC have text that goes beyond the screen, and when you try to scroll right to see it, AMP takes you to an entirely different article.

I haven’t had to deal with any of that crap since I use FireFox on my iPhone. But the new update (version 34) suddenly supports AMP and there is no way to disable it. I’m forced to go through Google’s caches whenever I just want to visit a webpage.

This is a dealbreaker for me. I won’t use FireFox anymore. I always thought Mozilla FireFox was a browser I could trust, and that the company prioritized ethics. Support for Google AMP has broken that trust, and I have no reason to use FireFox anymore.

If you want to give users the option of using AMP, fine. But make it an OPTION. Don’t force everyone to use it. Or let us change the user agent to an older FireFox that blocks AMP.

Once again, after updating Firefox (having delayed because of previous problems) it is once again giving me problems opening up sites.... specifically my Email !

WHY  ???? HOW do I overcome this? Must I ditch Firefox or just top updating ? What are risks of not updating?

Google has interfered with my photos when I chose Firefox as my default browser. On my ipadmini4 I can’t even use Safari....it goes straight to google! I’m getting ads that won’t go away or return immediately if they do. How can I get Firefox as my default browser without this constant interference?

I am using the lateset version of Firefox app on Ios 14, find that the settings is missing and is hard to find it.

Is there a way to get settings back on the main screen in Firefox app.

For some time, Firefox on iOS will randomly crash when I try to open a link from email or another site, or even when I go to open a new tab. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, but nothing has changed. I’ve now upgraded to iOS 15, and am also using a brand new iPhone 13, but the same issue still occurs. I love Firefox, otherwise, but this is a huge hassle.

Was the ability to have a blank homepage removed? It’s either your homepage or I have to set a page? This doesn’t make sense to me. Is there a legit reason I just can’t have a blank page?
