Recently, I cannot login to some websites that I use frequently. In particular, Wellsfargo.com and GoDaddy.com

I got help with this from your group some weeks ago, but I had to reinstall my Ubuntu OS (linux v.20.04.4 -- using firefox) recently and can't recall the answer.

When I view a WikiSpecies list of file names (e. g., see https://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Pentatominae), the instances which have been installed but never used should be in a different (reddish) color. I am attaching an image of a page containing a file named "Abadia" (first one on the left, just under "A") which is unused. I also am attaching an empty "Creating Abadia" which is the result of clicking on "Abadia".

Please tell me how to change the image of an unused, empty file. I recall that there were two different choices SOMEWHERE in the system, "Always" and "Never" I think: One of them forces a system-level color pattern which includes reddish unused items; the other allows the used to program arbitrary displays such as the above (typical example from the dconf editor is 'bg_color: #f0f1f2; selected_bg_color: #023C88', but this editor does not change the appearance of a file instance.

I messed up firefox and uninstalled it. Then I forgot the password and changed it. My other computers still have my settings, but with a different password. Should I change the password back to get all my settings back?

I found the correct password on another computer. The other computer still has all the correct bookmarks and add-ons. I really, really, really can't lose all those settings. I will also need to be adding a table to the same account.

I have a desktop and laptop both with FF installed and synced and they ALWAYS load identical. Yesterday I set up my my new desktop in my office and I installed FF and when I logged onto my account my FF stayed the default color. This never happened before, and as I turned and looked at my old desktop I saw that it too now had the wrong theme. So I went into my kitchen were I have my laptop set up (it just upgraded itself to win 11 and I am using it as a training tool) the FF on it was no longer appearing correctly.

I have since spent 30 some hours uninstalling/reinstalling FF/ deleting my profile, remaking my profile, re-deleting my profile and making another new profile using a different email and when I install FF on ANY OTHER pc it will not load correctly, especially themes and add ons.

What the hell is causing this and how do I fix it??

On every PC I used my Revo Uninstaller Pro to uninstall FF including file remnants and then meticulously scrubbed repeatedly each PC for any leftover registry and file remnants, and then I used my file eraser program to wipe all the file slack.

If this is going to be an issue why have FF ? I spend enough time now keeping Edge disabled and dont want my fav primary browser to become a "High Maintenance" browser having to spend time EVERY TIME I TURN ON MY PC fixing this, repeatedly. Its like having to add water to your cooling system every time you start up your car before you can use it.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.

The trouble shooting information below is for the first install tonight after getting home and making the newest profile and it is seemingly staying correct, the next install on my laptop is incorrect, it has one deleted theme installed yet is "using" the default theme and the correct theme I picked is not even showing.

In version 98, a change was made so that the download panel always opens every single time any file is downloaded. I have found that I never, under any circumstances, want or have ever wanted this behavior, nor do I ever ever serendipitously benefit from it. It is continuously annoying. How do I defeat it?

There is a site I can access with Safari from my iPhone but not with FireFox or Edge from my Windows laptop. Specifically, the site is www.thechildrensmediaconference.com. I have tried the advice in a previous thread on this theme with no success

Since the yesterday installment of Firefox, the Download list popup every time I download a file. I tried to toggle about:config->browser.download.panel.shown->false but every time I download a file in toggle back to true & the list pop up

It's very annoying. Any suggestion please?

The decision to ditch printing leaves me no choice but to ditch firefox on Android. It already has no many incompatibilities in the desktop versions that using it is a constant source of frustration.

Emails with .PDF attachments have the Firefox logo on them and are opened by the Firefox.PDF "app". I want it totally disabled. I don't want to ever see it again. I have wasted two hours trying to figure out how to just use Adobe .PDF.

For downloads I have made the selection to use Adobe.PDF. That works.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cannot load Firefox page error comes up saying " www.searchgoose.com " PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR what has to be done to rectify this ?

After the automatic upgrade to 98.0.1 I have 2 problems: 1. In a window with an image that I zoom in on I can no longer drag the image around to view. 2. I can no longer minimize or close a window with the + -. This part works fine until I open a second window. If I go into troubleshoot mode the + and - are bright (not as a background window) but they still don't work.
