We love Firefox except for: • The automatic updates. We’ve turned this off in options, but updates still take place without our approval and they really screw up our pages. What do we have to do to prevent this from happening? • What if we do NOT want Firefox to be our default browser?

Transfer various email files in a folder in ThunderBird to a bookmark folder on the same computer.

I started a project not to long ago. I received various emails trying to help out. Since I have 2 computers I would like to combine all the emails onto my primary laptop. Once this done, I would like to create a new file in the bookmark section and transfer everything into it. Copy and paste does not work and I do not often use links except when I create V lockups in Excel.

Can what I what to do be done??? Both computers are Windows 10. I really would like some input on this matter.

I got a newer powerful computer & want to move over my 2 valid FF Profiles to the new computer. I have valid Profiles, but each time near the end while loading, they crash or do not load? Recently, I downloaded a userChrome file to make Firefox resemble an old version of Google Chrome. Everything looks pretty good so far, except for one issue: part of the first/leftmost tab always gets cut off, as you can see in the first attached image.

What I want to do is add a small amount of blank space or padding to the left of the first tab so that the full tab is visible, sort of like what I have in the second image (I took that image by dragging the tab manually, which I obviously can't do while browsing).

I also want to shift the rest of the tabs to the right by the same margin, so that I don't mess up the overlap pattern. How do I do this?

I need a remedy. This is a site I frequently have accessed in the past, but now access with Chrome or Bing. I have re-installed the most recent Firefox version. I have no plugins, extensions or add-ons installed. Firefox will simply not go the this site. For no apparent reason.

OK, I hope you can help me. This is not exactly a problem because it may be due to my ignorance.

When I go to the "Get Help" screen for Firefox or Thunderbird the is a search area which allows me to search all the help articles. Problem is there are usually way too many possible answers.

I do not know how to limit the results.

Usually, the more you type the fewer responses. But with Mozilla's search the more I type the more I get.

Some sites use a Boolean symbol to limit responses (e.g. ^ for not). Some use all upper case to identify a Boolean request (e.g. NOT for not equal). I have tried both and they do not seem to work.

So, is there a way of limiting the search results in the Mozilla Help Search ?

I just asked the question about the panel to the left of the left panel...

My reason for wanting to remove this new 'panel' is because I can not see the full text of my emails now unless I close the Left Panel.

I do have a wide computer monitor... never had a problem viewing my emails until FF installed the upgrade to 84.0.1.

I have changed the security settings in the Firefox browser so that I can block cookies. I am aware that almost all pages ask for it. But you can also make exceptions. I did this for my bank page, because I have to register my browser every time I close and reopen the browser. If I put the URL and the extension in the exceptions, only the basic URL is displayed, but not the extension.

This is the page for entering the login data. If I copy this URL into the exceptions for blocking cookies, only "https://banking.bankaustria.at" appears there. I still have to confirm my browser registration with a TAN.

Is there perhaps another option so that I don't have to register every time - other than generally allowing cookies?

When I click the three dots in the address bar to open the page actions, I am not able to see any options it shows an empty box. It started happening recently. My version is 84.0.

Every time my Mac does an update it bounces Firefox from my system--to the point that I have to download and reinstall it. I lose all of my bookmarks, etc., everything. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, I am still running Win7. After this morning reboot, firefox did not start, messaging: "Der Prozedureinsprungspunkt "sql3lite_database_file_object" wurde in der DLL "nss3.dll" nicht gefunden. After that a message windows says: "Couldn't load" XPCOM. I tried to reinstall firefox downloading it with another browser, but the installation (I am now working with) seems to be somehow parallel, i.e. I don't have my profile and extensions, passwords, etc. And the look ist different.
