I think Firefox has blocked my access to my hotmail account.

When I put this into my URL: outlook.live.com

it goes to main page - OK

But when I put this into my URL: outlook.live.com/mail

I get a blank screen . . . and the security icon to the near left of the padlock on browser does not have an option to unblock my mail.

I find no help at hotmail/msn. But my daughter used her phone and got into my mail there - so I think it might be my security setting on Firefox.

Any help will be appreciated.

Update to the most recent Firefox Browser Version unsuccessful. 'Automatic update' option is active, but I receive a failure message like "... could not be updated to the newest version". I'm stuck at version 69 or so. Manual update equally unsuccessful - I tried the commonly known tips already. Windows 8 PC, active user profile is not 'administrator' (this was not a problem in the past). P.S.: I'm sending thsi message from a different PC (... wher updating Firefox no problem) - so educated guesses below may be misleading

I asm now using Firefox version 79. Prior to this Firefox would open to Xfinity and it would log me in. with V79 it does not log me as it did with other versions in. Is there a way to configure it to log me in like it used to? Thank you Allen

For some reason I'm not able to play/pause or skip anything on Firefox using binds. Function keys are normal like F3 to find, F5 to refresh a page. I tried uninstalling Firefox entirely and reinstalling it and there is no progress. This play/pause bind works in Chrome and Brave but not on Firefox.

When I open Firefox a tab for gmail opens every time, but cannot be closed (there is no "X" on the right side of the tab). Therefore, when browsing in other tabs, gmail is always open. How can I close it, or better yet, remove from my computer? It does not show up in the list of programs on my computer within the Control Panel.

EVERY TIME I open Firefox I immediately get an ad asking me to download MS Edge. This occurs even when Edge is not open. 1. I have Edge downloaded but it is not my default browser – which is Firefox. 2. This ad appears even when Edge is not open. 3. I have turned off all the suggested fixes in the “Settings/Options” for both Firefox and Edge but without success. Is there any way to block these irritating pop-ups?

After this update Firefox is usless on my Android Phone. I do not have the time to learn all over again how to use a browser I already have used for years! Everything is different. I hate it. I will use Chrome instead!

Here is a Jsfiddle URL URL which points to Twitter Tweet Button JS / HTML code which I am attempting to embed into a website.

When I load the above in Google Chrome 84 the Tweet Button appears and I can share out the URL of the web page in which the Tweet button is embedded, with no unexpected results.

When I try to do the same with Mozilla Firefox 79.0, in Private Mode, and disabling uBlock extension, the Tweet button does NOT appear, only the "Tweet" text. When I click on the Tweet text, I can not share out the URL as expected.

I am wondering what specifically in Mozilla Firefox could be introducing the problem.

When opening Firefox to browse internet, is there a way that I can avoid going through Google completely? Currently, I go through Firefox to Google to Yahoo to browse internet. I would like to bypass Google entirely.

Hello When visiting Gumtree marketplace, none of the pictures for the adds display. I have tried a Firefox refresh, and the photos appear but disappear then disappear again if a new Firefox tab is opened or a new search within Gumtree is performed. The Firefox refresh does not appear permanent. I have cleared cache and cookies and this has had no effect. The Gumtree photos display if I revert to using a different browser. How can I refresh Firefox and keep the settings permanent? This problem has only manifested itself in the last two days.

This morning I received a response to a question posted yesterday. However, the response was to a link that did not provide a successful result. I'll try to restate the problem more clearly. Problem: when I click on the address bar to initiate a search, seven choices appear in a drop down menu, none of which I want. These choices include options that are NOT resolved by going to Settings, Options, Search and unchecking a search engine choice. As mentioned before, these also are not in my bookmarks or my search history, or in Extensions, so I'm stumped as to where to go to get rid of them.

Please see screenshots, attached. One screen shot is of my choices in Settings, Options, Search. In this shot, the only search engine I've chosen is DuckDuckGo. The other screen shot is of the drop down choices that appear in my search bar. Please notice that the drop down choices include, for example, Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter. None of these sites appear under Settings, Options, Search. Please help. Thank you.

Clicking File/email link does nothing. Have tried using it in safe mode and it does not work then either. I see no error messages or apparent activity. I've searched for solutions but none appear. Any help would be appreciated because I have to copy and open a new email paste etc to send a page link. thanks

Every time i try to upload a video on twitter, I get the error from the 1st image. Videos work fine, only uploading to twitter doesn't work I have tried: - installing ubuntu-restricted-extras and x264 - installing the addon "HTML5 Everywhere" - installing/uninstalling flash - enabling/disabling hardware acceleration My laptop's specs are in the 2nd image

This past week when I right click on an article on MSN.com and select the open in a new tab item the new tab appears to the right of the active tab briefly and then disappears. This happens very quickly and I have not found a way to allow the new tab to open. Any thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.

Whenever I click in the FF address bar, these items appear in a drop-down, as shown in attached screenshot. These aren't bookmarks, so what are they and how do I remove them? Thanks!

Hello. When I open a new tab in Firefox, there are top sites that I cannot remove. I have set for there to be 4 rows of top sites, but Amazon is not only not pinned, but when I try to dismiss it, nothing happens. I have tried clearing my history, and editing and replacing the link with another site only creates another Amazon top site square. Any help would be much appreciated as it is becoming a pet peeve! XD
