Linux Ubuntu - fails to download Last Pass, Ublock, and DuckDuckGo. HTTPS works - it's the only one that came back after the add-ons problem starting May 3, 2019. Add-ons Manager shows them as Legacy Extensions.

My Windows pc updated and all add-ons are back no problem.

Any help for Linux?

The add-ons make surfing the web safer, such as blocking trackers & facebook snooper. I feel totally vulnerable going on the web with out Privacy Badger & Facebook Container. It seems that you have abandoned the principles that make Firefox stand out about the rest of the browsers. Without those Add-ons, then Firefox is no different.... Please, resolve this problem, soon.

Thanks, Worried Firefox User

Hi, I really like Firefox and really appreciate that way that Mozilla look after my security but I cannot get my head around the fact that you have disabled one of the most useful add ons that I have ever had Ad-Block?

I had ads and the way that they interfere wiith my user experience, Ad Block, as far as I can see, has done an excellent job of keeping unneccessary rubbish that I am not interested in, off my screen.

This is made especially difficult as there does not appear to be a replacement tool in your recomended list. I wouyld really appreciate your assistance in solving this problem. Regards Paul Carroll

Hello,

My add-ons have stopped working and are shown as Legacy ones.

Also I can't install new ones.

I believe this must have been caused by the recent Firefox bug.

I have noted that in about:config xpinstall.signatures.required has been set to false, so it looks like the fix has been applied.

For me this is not working and add-ons are still shown as legacy.

Is there anything I can do to cure this ?

Regards,

Nick.

I have just migrated to a MacOSMojave and am dealing with some teething problems. The one at the moment is that when I use Firefox to go to the BBC website to play Radio 3 there is no sound happening despite all my checks. To put this in context: I can access BBCiplayer and play videos with sound, I can get sound using You Tube, also I have checked my system preferences and made sure that I have ticked the right boxes. So it is not an across the board phenomenon but something more localised. Any thoughts on this would be welcome.

Hello,

After the most recent Firefox update (66.0.3) I can no longer log in on YouTube. But as I mention in the question... the site plays and loads videos perfectly, but I just can't log in. I can log in fine on Chrome, but really don't like using that bloated mess of a browser.

And every other site I use can be logged into just fine. Firefox has gotten so good these days, and the only issues I ever have are always and only with YouTube. I really hope this isn't some Google salvo against Firefox.

This is on Firefox 66.0.3 64-bit running on macOS 10.11.6.

It used to be than when I selected BOOKMARKS - BOOKMARK THIS PAGE a dialog box would drop down and I could choose where I wanted the bookmark stored. Now the dialog box does not open, Firefox just goes ahead and stores the bookmark where it wants to and I have to find it and move it to where I want it. How do I fix this?

I've tried to install from the Mozilla add-ons site and directly from the publisher's web site. From Mozilla I keep getting a message the add-on didn't download and I should check my connection. Directly from the publisher Firefox claims the file is corrupted. What gives? Since Firefox killed AdBlock Plus I wanted to install either Ghostery or AdBlockerPlus and both crapped out.
