I downloaded 4b2 on to a new Windows 7 machine. I want to download some "older" addons that aren't yet compatible with 4b2. So I downloaded the Compatibility checker addon, plus manually ensured 'extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0b=false' was set in about:config.

When I go to the Firefox Add-On site, I get an error that there was a "connection error" with addons.firefox.com ONLY when I try to download a non-compatible addon (AdBlock worked, for instance, but it's compatible).

When I navigate (click on) to a bookmark in either the bookmarks folder or in a folder on my bookmarks bar it remains highlighted when I reopen those folders until I mouse over it again. This happens all the time to the point that I can have dozens of bookmarks highlighted in a browsing session.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium and Firefox 4 Beta 2.

"Oh! So, you want to offer us feedback on the next version of Firefox. Thank you, but you'll need to be on our latest beta."

My useragent is 'Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 (x86_64); rv:2.0b2) Gecko/20100720 Firefox/4.0b2'. It seems normal, any ideas?

I have the most current version of FF and the most current version of FF-Beta. I just noticed that both versions are using the same "settings" (options). If I make a change in options, the change is made to both FF and FF-Beta. FF and FF-Beta are located in different folders. Also If I open FF and attempt to open FF-Beta at the same time, another instance of FF opens, not the Beta version. The problem is that FF and FF-Beta have different option settings and seem to corrupt each other trying to share the file.

I am running Firefox 4.0 Beta 6. It tells me there's an update for Beta 10 every few days. It tries to do it and says there's an internal failure. Firefox beta 6 finally opens like it was a fresh install, so my Download Statusbar add-on shows it's welcome screen, my Google settings are not set and I have to login and set them up again.

So, I go to the website to download and there is no beta 10.. the download link's file says beta 6.

Without changing anything, in the last 24 hours Firefox won't open new windows, but will open new 'tabs' if I choose tabs instead. When I close the browser, the task manager will still say that there is a Firefox window open, as will a popup if I try to open Firefox again. Apologies if this was answered elsewhere.. I couldn't find it in the other questions.

On the other hand, IE9 Beta and Chrome 7.XX (and their previous versions) are showing it perfectly. Following are the links for the printscreens
