When I am looking on any website such as Ebay, Asda etc and click on next page or view item unwanted pages are opening up sometimes 4 or 5 pages. Also I can not get rid of pop ups, I have disabled them, retarted Firefox updated everything and these problems are still an issue.

This problem has just started over the past week. When I need download a pdf file (such as tickets etc) it shows as 'Unknown size' so I cannot open it. The dowload list shows only downloads done months ago - although, up to last week, I had no problem. Cory MH replied earlier this week suggesting the following but I am not sure how to access the information. This is screen shot of the advice:
Can you check the properties of your places.sqlite file, which handles your bookmarks, browsing history, and downloads? It is contained in your Firefox profile folder, which you can access by going to the about:support page or: • Help (or > ) > Troubleshooting Information On that page, click the "Show Folder" button and that will open your profile folder in Windows Explorer. Look for the places.sqlite file and right click it. Select Properties and under the General tab, make sure that it isn't "Read-only". You can also install the Places Maintenance extension to run maintenance on the file to see if that can fix it if it is corrupted. Please read the following articles first as they provide helpful hints and instructions that may be relevant to you:
I really need clarification as to where to find the 'about:support page' on Help/Troubleshooting etc.
This problem is a real nuisance as I will need to dowload boarding passes later in the week.
Thanks for any help Rosie
Do not need an answer. Asking the question brought up the prompt. Thank you.
If I eat at Chik-fil-a can I still use firefox?

So I finally get a Surface Pro 3 and bring it home. Excited to install the "touch" version of Firefox, since I've used it on my non-touch computers for at least a decade, only to find that they've cancelled the development.
WTF?! Seriously? Worse is that I found the reason posted in a blog, "Not enough interest". Hmm, maybe it's because nobody knew about it? Even those that did, couldn't get it to work in the touch environment. Maybe it's because it wasn't released as a "release" and always as a Beta?
Here is a fact, you've lost this user for good. Development on this old version of non-touch is what you should stop on. I mean, what computers today AREN'T touch screen? If they're not, your current and even past versions are more than enough.
Firefox had a chance to gain some ground but that is now gone. Instead they've chosen to go with the smaller market Android, build their own OS (Good luck with that) and continue developing a "desktop" mode that is more than fine.
Instead they're leaving behind a market share that is larger than both Apple and Android COMBINED. Here's an idea - FIRE your management team 'cause they don't know crap about their users. If you ever release a version in the Windows Market, great. Until then, I'm gone and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Thanks but now I have to get this impossible to use desktop version off my Surface.

My printer menu opens in all my other program, including Chrome. My printer is operating. I've printed a page with it. Everything was fine until yesterday. I closed my system last night and rebooted this am. The problem still exists.
I didn't reset my Firefox printer settings because I don't want to create any other problems.
I'm using version 32.0.3 of Firefox and Windows XP
What should I do?
I appreciate your help with this.

10/4/2014 Thank you Cor-el for your rapid response to my original question. I do believe I downloaded the Places Maintenance add on. But I have no idea as to how to access that add on and run it, if that's what I should do. I did try to restore a backed up HTML bookmark file. This seems to have changed the "wrong" URL that I get to a different wrong URL. Thanks.
I just can't figure out how to exit other than closing tabs, but when I do this I find out later these pages are still running. Whatever happened to "Exit/"
I registered, I did everything to please the mozilla monster but still it's impossible to ask a question

This is most definitely in the wrong section I would of preferred sending this a complimentary email.
About a few weeks ago I had made a project to work with colored TTF however to my knowledge I was stuck with internet explorer 11 and windows 8.1.
Now to my surprise from the makers of Font Creator mentioned to me that Firefox could now do the colored fonts.
So I am just taking the time to say who ever worked on making this possible has now open doors to a new realm of ideas in the font making and I am quite grateful. At least now other Operating Systems will be able to use them and not be limited to just one OS.
P.S: You can delete this post as I don't want this to show up like spam (was never intended to be as such) however should you want to use the font I made (which is heavy) to see how well Firefox engine for the fonts can take it and what can be done to optimize it by all means.
The project page is here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1183671522/social-fonts?ref=nav_search
My actual font I made dist.be/files/SocialFont.zip
Best wishes and considering I'm turning 40 this Friday this is one heck of a birthday gift!

A few Firefox automatic updates ago, my on-line banking (and their) sites began to tell me I needed Flash and demanded that I load it. Tried, but Firefox refuses to add-on a flash support module. Claims it is outmoded. Firefox offers a substitute. Tried it. Does not meed the bank site's requirement. Using Chrome and IE (which support and include Flash) but would prefer to return to Firefox. How do I load flash, (or return to an earlier version of Firefox which allows flash to be added)? currently using FF 32.03
