When I try to "sign into" Firefox using Google Chrome, I see the following message: "This account is not active. Please contact an administrator if you believe this is an error." I do not know how to contact an administrator. I do not see this statement when I sign into Firefox using my Firefox browser. Maybe (I think) the issue is that I need to use my Firefox browser to "sign into" Firefox (and, not Google Chrome). Thank you for your comments about this.

Recently returned to Firefox from a detour in Chrome. One thing that Alphabet was doing that I was satisfied with was their password manager. It suggested complex passwords. Is there a similar feature in Firefox?

Hi, I have an account that has all my bookmarks etc... that I do not want to loose. The Firefox account has one email listed and I forgot to add a secondary before my old email was disabled. When I try to add now Firefox send a code to my old email which I have no access to. The extension of the email has been changed to @gmail.com vs the old email was "@shaw.ca" (company got brought out & not exist anymore). thanks for your help Regards, Melinda

There is a left side hidden toolbar that has history AI etc pictured below. I removed it on another computer by mistake and can't figure out how to get it back. It is on a Windows 11 machine. Thank you for any help.

I wanted to set keywords for search engines (in order to quickly change them for a single query). This cannot be done for search engines by default (why?), so I had to delete them and create a new one with the same link and my own keywords. But now I can't give them the same name back, firefox says that such a search engine already exists. In general, it doesn't matter to me which letter is there. The main purpose of my appeal is to draw attention to the fact that search engines cannot be edited by default, because it is quite inconvenient. My Thunderbird has behaved very well for a decade or more. No issues and still the same. My question relates to the delete function. When I press delete I get a warning of a delete email with a chance to go back. I changed this to see what happens and now I cannot find how to return to second chance as this works best for me. Possibly simple but how? regards Replytree

I've recently made the move to Windows 11, and since then I've been having loads of issues with firefox hanging and crashing. I've been able to correct the issue for about a week at a time by clearing my startup cache, but I did so incorrectly recently and it corrupted my profile, resulting in the need to create a new default one.

I'm able to launch firefox okay now, but when I try to sync my bookmarks and settings, firefox freezes every time immediately upon login. Is there a way I can sync my settings without using the firefox UI in order to circumvent the crashing issues present in the UI?

Last night my machine updated itself but now I cannot access Facebook as it says I am using a browser version not supported by FB. I checked and my Firefox browser is indeed up to date. Have I been hacked or what?! Thanks. Geoff

An e-banking site that worked in Firefox for years no longer works in 145.0 under Ubuntu Studio 24.04.1 This is the help page for the error I am receiving: https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefox/145.0/WINNT/en-US/connection-not-secure However, the error message I received (see attached image) is not listed there. Since the e-banking site hasn't changed in ages, I suspect instead something in one of the recent Firefox updates. The site works fine in Safari under Sequoia 15.5 on a MacBook Air, and I can login in Firefox, so I doubt that there is a problem with the site's security certificate. Since both the MacBook Air and the Ubuntu PC are on the same LAN, I also doubt any network obstruction. I haven't found a wax to get any more detailed error information and would be grateful for tips on how to do so. Meanwhile, I would like to at least change from the standart Firefox release to the ESR veersion, but find no information on how to do so. I have currently set up Firefox to be pulled from the instructions in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux#w_install-firefox-deb-package-for-debian-based-distributions-recommended under "For Debian Trixie and Newer" How can I switch from my current Firefox under Ubuntu to an ESR release?

i can't get youtube to load on firefox i have updated it all it loads up on competitors chrome,Etc can anyone help I've changed the password twice i get a black screen and 3 lines on the left unclickable and three circles also blank and unclickable i have windows 11

I can not access my Outlook/Hotmail account in FireFox. I get a plank page. I have never had this problem before. I have no problem loading it in other browsers. Did something change? How do I correct this problem?

A month ago I downloaded Linux Ubuntu 24.04.3 onto my Microsoft Surface Pro. Was never able to get the touch screen to work, but, the printer worked fine. After the recent Firefox update, however, I am unable to print. The preview page does not load. Not tech savvy, here, definitely not an administrator. How do I fix this? Thanks for any help.
