When you add a page to your bookmarks a window appears that asks for a name and which folder you want to save it on. By default it recommends you a folder but there is a button to "un-hide" your full folders list. Is there a way to make this the default? As in, i dont have to click "un-hide" everytime (...because firefox never picks the folder i want)

a few days ago, i encountered this weird symbol on my toolbar (check image). it basically looked like a blue keyhole, and this was the first time i encountered something like it, so i ran a gamut of virus scans from many different tools to see if it was a PUP virus or whatever, but nothing came up as a hit. I was puzzled on WHAT it was, but after i shut my browser down and rebooted it, the blue keyhole symbol vanished

so.....wat was dat?

Here is a rather long winded explanation of my problem initially prepared for an email to Firefox until I found out that was not a possibility. Hello Agent, I have a problem with Firefox described as follows: I have an account with a company called Eversfield Organic an organic meat company. They have a facility whereby the delivered cold packs and insulating material can be returned to them via DPD free of charge. To achieve this a form has to be completed on Eversfields site to enable a returns label to be printed. When attempting to complete this form one line of this form will not accept an input. This item is called the “Country” which should read “United Kingdom”. I cannot input this manually or by my password manager “RoboForm” which temporary inputs United Kingdom until I release the mouse button when it goes blank again. I have tried the Google Chrome and Opera browsers which work perfectly using this system. So logically it would appear that there is a fault with Firefox which is a shame since it is my preferred browser. It would be appreciated if you can provide a solution to this problem. My account names to all of my email masks have disappeared. Why did this happen? How do i get them back? Now I have not idea which email masks are for which accounts.

Firefox (a new up-to-date install) has been very crashy on my new computer -- PC running Windows 11.

I ran troubleshooting mode and it shows 0 crash reports.

On my old computer, I had 4 Firefox windows open, a half dozen extensions, ~200 tabs and it was quite stable. This brand new install is running one window, 3 extensions, a dozen tabs open, and freezes and crashes pretty much every time I try to read my email (or do anything else that involves clicking).

How do get a stable Firefox?

I asked a question earlier about being blocked from a site that I frequent while using Firefox but not when using Edge. I don't use Edge much but another difference has become apparent. Many of the sites like news sites an information sites seem to take longer to open than they used to on Firefox, I can see little icons going back and forth in the tab at top. Normally this lasts for ten seconds or so then the site I was after appears. I was on Edge and noted that this was not happening. I spent several minutes going back and forth and I definitely have an issue with Firefox. I have Windows 10 running on an old desktop. I use Express VPN I use BitDefender In Firefox I use Adblock Plus, Ghostery, I use Duck Duck search

Do I need a new version of Firefox or what? It says it is up to date 121.0.1 Have been using Firefox for years and not had any issues like these. Mark

Why do I have TWO Firefox icons shown on my desktop screen? If I click on #1 it says: "Created Tuesday, February 20, 2018" If I click on #2 it says: "Created Tuesday, December 05, 2023" Do I need both? or can I delete one of them? Thanks.

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

why does firefox open 15 sessions in task manager when i openy have 5 windows open!!

its seems rediculous the software opens 3 times the amount of windows i have open

I visited Twitter and Facebook looking to contact Graham Hancock. I had to signup. But now everytime I open my browser ---- Twitter and Facebook automatically open up. HOW DO I GET RID OF THESE 2.

When I want to go to the NY Times, and i type "nyt" the address bar automatically populated with the rest of the URL "nytimes.com". When I do the same thing with gmail and "gmail" it runs a search on a search engine instead of completing the rest of the URL.

Why would it do this for one website and not another? How do I fix this, I use gmail all the time so its a bit of a time waster.

Lost an open session in Firefox - folder sessionstore-backups doesn't contain anything. Not even the upgrade recovery. Lost or is there still something else I can do? Thank you

I encounter this error only on my.nintendo.com. However nobody else I know encounters this (even using Firefox) and I do not encounter it on Edge browser.

When I open the site it stays for a few seconds, then loads an error page. Then this error page reloads itself every few seconds. I tried to include some Inspect tool details. Before a 404 error there are 303 and 302 responses. I live near my friends who do not have this issue (same ISP too) so it's not a regional issue. In the screenshots the four (and two more further down) red GETs below are all "304 Not Modified" status'd

I'm not sure what type of info I can dump from the browser or how, to help diagnose this. I'm on Windows 11 (though I was having this isue on my dual-booted Linux install too), on version 121.0.1 (see screenshot of About Firefox for more?)
