When I try to forward a link from a webpage (using Firefox) it automatically sends it from my email address through Thunderbird. I'd like to switch the setting so it uses my Apple Mail email address. Is this possible?

The txt document codes I was given to save to my computer were corrupted in a recent windows update gone wrong. Can you give me those codes back, or are there other routes I can take to correct this?

I've just opened Firefox to discover it has updated whilst I was out, and now all my saved logins are missing.

It's not a disaster, just really annoying as it means having to re-enter a lot of information, and remembering it!

Is there any way of recovering that information or is it a lost cause?

I've tried refreshing and using it with zero addons. At the moment it seems to be freezing after I copy things from a textarea. It started freezing just after the Windows update... core isolation is OFF (laptop doesn't support it)... Firefox is at the latest version too.

Hello, The bookmark toolbar has a FOLDER called "Other Bookmarks" just appeared out of nowhere and I just noticed it. It contained 4-5 links which I deleted assuming this would delete the folder and I added a random bookmark to see if that might do anything. No! I have searched for fixes including going into "About:Config" chamed tried changing the command (i.e., browser.toolbars.bookmarks.showotherbookmarks, and other similar commands from True to False), none of this did anything. There is no right-click command over the folder, "Show Bookmarks" as you can see in the screen shot. I need to get rid of this, as it is taking up valuable real estate and is an eyesore so to speak. Again, this just popped out of nowhere when I was moving/deleting bookmarks on the toolbar that wouldn't cause this folder to appear out of nowhere. Thank you in advance. I do hope someone can help!

Websites browsing history does not update or delete. Opening the sidebar, right clicking on an entry and using Forget About this site or Delete Page has no effect. Menu>Settings>Privacy. Private is unchecked. I've selected Clear History Time Range Everything, all boxes checked. Settings When closed Firefox should delete all boxes checked.

Remember Browsing History and it doesn't update when I open the sidebar. Last Visited is the only selection that shows any sites and it doesn't update as I browse new sites. By Date and Site, Most Visited, by site, by date do not show any sites.

I've even uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled and not sure how but it has the same history as well as last tabs opened.

Hi, It would be of great help to me if you could give me an advice how to fix my Firefox browser in order to be able to use it with sound. It used to work untill a few months ago, but once, with no reason, just stopped playing sounds , no matter if I accessed a news channel, Youtube or other site that uses sounds.. for this purpose I am forced to use Chrome or Microsoft Edge, but I like more Firefox. I mention that I have an i7 laptop with a Windows 10 OS. Thank you.

I created a few virtual hosts and sites on my local machine and this is working perfectly.

Problem is with Firefox, when I enter non-existant url in address bar, Firefox force me to search and don't let me to open the url, but I need to go to this url for testing, developing, etc...

Any solution?

On firefox before version 105 i can use parameter on about:config page

1. signon.showAutoCompleteOrigins = to hide the "From This Website" 2. signon.showAutoCompleteFooter = to hide the "View Saved Login" button

Now on firefox version 106 parameter number 1 doesn't work (doesn't hide "From This Website")

How can i hide "From This Website" ? is it a bug or is there any other way

Firefox (on a MacBook Pro, OS 10.14.5) rapidly stopped working today. First, one open page stopped updating (webmail), but others (e.g., weather) still worked. Soon, progressively, nothing worked, and it wouldn't open new pages, links, or bookmarks. I downloaded a new version, 106.0.1, but that dmg file wouldn't open: "no such file or directory" (despite ostensibly containing 135 MB). Yet that version seems to be what's running now. I don't know how recently my Firefox got updated; possibly an update is the problem, but why newly today is unclear. I'm now using Safari, since Firefox is kaput.

Often when I start up Firefox, this webpage opens up with it as well:

There are other variations of this page-- apparently this is number 14.

I am not interested in buying Mozilla's subpar VPN and do not want to keep getting advertisements about it. Is there any way to disable this?

So firefox dev edition makes connections after booting the pc, even when i did not open it. Now i dont think its a big deal because so far i can tell those connections to the adress 127.0.0.1 should be only local connections that dont leave my local network, right? Question is, why does it do that? The standard firefox browser doesnt ever behave like that, so why does the dev version? What i dont like here is the fact that a program does things on its own without me interacting with it, firefox is a browser and should only be active when i use it, not on its own. So what are these connections and why are they there? How do you disable the browser acting on its own? I did not install the maintenance service.

Since updating to version 107, the Idagio.com web player does not work in Firefox. When pressing the "Play" icon, only progression dots show forever.
