I use pihole on my home network but firefox doesn't seem to care. i disabled DNS over HTTPS but still it seems it ignores my dns server

Currently in Windows 11 running Firefox Version 106.0.5 (64-bit).

About three days ago I noticed that I can no longer paste images from Firefox directly into messaging platforms. Didn't think too much about it, until today when I attempted to copy an image from Firefox into a graphics program (Affinity Designer) and what I got instead of the image was a string with the following text:

"C:\Users\squir\AppData\Local\Temp\1659928653877.webp"

I searched online and found that refreshing Firefox should fix the issue. It did not. Attempted to replicate in Chrome and Edge, was able to successfully copy images from both browsers. Attempted to replicate in other graphics programs: With Corel Painter, Inkscape, and Paint I was able to copy-paste from both Chrome and Edge, but not with Firefox.

Once again, I have refreshed Firefox, checked for updates in both the OS and browser, restarted the computer and the problem still persists.

Would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can fix this issue.

I've just opened Firefox to discover it has updated whilst I was out, and now all my saved logins are missing.

It's not a disaster, just really annoying as it means having to re-enter a lot of information, and remembering it!

Is there any way of recovering that information or is it a lost cause?

I was trying to move it and I accidentally deleted it. I would like to reinstall it. I cannot seem to find the right phrase to find it on your sight and do a reinstall. If you would be so kind to point me in the right direction,I would be most grateful. Little updates like this is why I have remained a loyal fan since the Netscape Navigator days.

I am using pihole and i've learned that firefox ignores it.

Supposedly, because it has DNS OVER HTTPS enabled by default.

So i disabled it, and it still doesn't work ( ignores DNS settings and loads websites that are blacklisted in my pihole - only firefox does this, chrome and edge dont have this problem )

I've set it to my pihole server - and it still works.

I've set it to CUSTOM and put in a 0.0.0.0 as IP and IT STILL WORKS

how???

i am just trying to use pihole but i can't comprehend why would a browser ignore all these settings ...

how do i make it work?

Whenever I drag a tab to another window in Firefox, the first window will hide all but the most recent tab. The only way to unhide them is to open a new tab. Is there a way to turn this off? I can't figure out what's causing it.

Hello, The bookmark toolbar has a FOLDER called "Other Bookmarks" just appeared out of nowhere and I just noticed it. It contained 4-5 links which I deleted assuming this would delete the folder and I added a random bookmark to see if that might do anything. No! I have searched for fixes including going into "About:Config" chamed tried changing the command (i.e., browser.toolbars.bookmarks.showotherbookmarks, and other similar commands from True to False), none of this did anything. There is no right-click command over the folder, "Show Bookmarks" as you can see in the screen shot. I need to get rid of this, as it is taking up valuable real estate and is an eyesore so to speak. Again, this just popped out of nowhere when I was moving/deleting bookmarks on the toolbar that wouldn't cause this folder to appear out of nowhere. Thank you in advance. I do hope someone can help!

As of this evening, Firefox for Android no longer opens links from webpages. This was working just fine yesterday, but any attempt to solve the issue has resulted in failure.

• I can still open links manually by copy-pasting them into a new tab.
• I have tried disabling all add-ons, to no effect.
• I discovered this through my regular browsing, but I have also tested a random Google search page, as well as various links in Mozilla Support.
• Javascript appears to be unaffected.

Current version is Firefox for Android 106.1.0.

The txt document codes I was given to save to my computer were corrupted in a recent windows update gone wrong. Can you give me those codes back, or are there other routes I can take to correct this?

I've tried refreshing and using it with zero addons. At the moment it seems to be freezing after I copy things from a textarea. It started freezing just after the Windows update... core isolation is OFF (laptop doesn't support it)... Firefox is at the latest version too.

I' m having the issue that .jpeg images don't zoom smaller in Firefox (they do in Safari). I'm performing cmd-+/- on a Mac keyboard.

Any ideas?

A website I use regularly has internal links that no longer work in regular mode. They used to work and still work in Troubleshooting Mode.

These links are imperative to using the webpage. I'm not sure what changed or why they work in troubleshoot mode, but I need to fix this right away. They also work on other browsers.
