Hello,

Even though [replied in another similar thread] that I have the same issue, I'm making another one 'cause it seems pretty dead.

Since ver 128 Nebula, some mails (sorted in a labeled folder) appear totally white / blank and I don't know why. They appear perfectly fine when viewed from my provider's webmail service (Gandi SOGo), but not in Thunderbird. But here's the thing: they appear fine from the sent folder after I replied to them (via the webmail).

I've already tried restarting in safe mode with all modules disabled, to no success.

I just updated to V128 (from 78) and I had a bunch of custom named in added to mu dictionary.

I still have the old version on mu computer, how can I either export from the old version and import to the new version, or, can I simply copy over my custom dictionary to my new profile somehow?

Thanks, Mark.

It's bee a very long time since I've been able to zoom in on email messages using the shortcut CTRL+. Drilling through the menu works, but on some messages I have to go through all that 2 or 3 times to get the text large enough. I on version 128.4.2, Lenovo Thinkpad, and Windows 11, 64 bit. Is there anyway to fix this? That same shortcut works just fine in my browser, Opera version 114.0.5282.102, or anywhere else I use it.

Since moving to Windows 11 and reinstalling Thunderbird, I cannot access emails by this route. I have a domain hosted by Easily and can get to my emails directly through their Control Panel, but using the same email, password, ports etc through TB it fails to find the account. I have rechecked all the settings with Easily and tried several times entering them manually in TB, with the same result. What else can I do?

Cannot send emails

Hi,

I've setup Thunderbird (32 bit) on Windows 8.1 client on Hyper-V. This is a setup I've used on 2 other machines with no problems as long as I run the 32-bit version. I currently have a similar Hyper-V setup on my laptop (Windows 11 host/Windows 8.1 client/Thunderbird 32-bit) with no issues.

On this machine (Windows 10 host/Windows 8.1/Thunderbird 32-bit) however, I can receive emails fine but can only send 1 message and then no more. I've followed all of the online suggestions, and I can even ping the smtp.google.com servers and it works fine. Web browsing works fine (upload, download). It also works fine on the Windows 10 host, as there are no problems sending/receiving using Thunderbird from there.

I know this is a little out of normal use, but in my case, I have older 32-bit software that I have to virtualize because the activation servers were shut down last year. So, I run on a 15-use "trial" since I can't activate my "owned" software anymore. When I run out of trial uses, I create a new virtual machine, reload the software, restore my backup file and I'm off and running again.

Anyway, any clues of where to look would be appreciated.

Best Buy installed a new hard drive with additional storage capacity on my computer. A lot of stuff got wiped out and had to be re-installed, including Thunderbird. Now, Thunderbird is slow to respond to the server and even simple reply messages can take a minute or longer to send. It takes a long time to get messages, send, etc. What can I do to increase speed? My ISP tells me I have 45 MB of speed [soon to be 300mb] and that something is slowing down the email process, not them. Also, when I forward a message Thunderbird sends all the coded info with the messages that confuses the receipient. For example, if I send a political cartoon, some will delete the message because the cartoon is on the very bottom of the message and all the sending material is first and he thinks the message is a gag of some sort. Messages used to just show the sender and receipient(s) names and topic, not all the unnecessary detail involved in the message itself.

Can you please me with these issues, as I am so frustrated that I am exploring using Gmail or Outlook instead.

Thanks. Jim Maciej jvm1@windstream.net

Over the past couple of years, I will receive one or two emails that displays as a scrambled mess of characters, and sometimes one email is combined with another (the header of one mixed with the body of another). However, this morning, I received several scrambled, combined emails that I can only read if I log into my email provider/hosting company. What is going on and what can I do to stop this? I have no technical skills for going in and coding anything.
