I am using the latest (auto updated) version of thunderbird and cannot save eidits ro the filters When I add a new e-mail address there is no longer an option button to save changes

I ran the following command in terminal after finding user supplied answers on here "/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -P" I had two instances running and deleted one and, while my Firefox browser did open afterwards, I have lost everything, bookmarks, history, cookies etc. I have a brand new browser. Is there anyway to retrieve these things, I am in trouble if not... Thanks to whoever takes the time to answer.

Up until mid-November 2022 approxmately, I was able to open multiple synced tabs by holding down the Ctrl key. The synced tabs would then open in new tabs in the background, while the menu would remain open.

Since an update, the behaviour has changed, and opening a synced tab now automatically closes the menu, which is most annoying, as when I change computers, I most often have several synced tabs to reopen, not just one.

browser.bookmarks.openInTabClosesMenu=false does not apply to the synced tabs menu, and I was not able to find any other option that would help.

browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground=true does not help either.

What am I missing? As far as I can remember, it worked out of the box until a few weeks ago! (the menu would not close upon opening a synced tab in a new tab, holding down the Ctrl key). The issue appeared after a Firefox update on my 4 devices.

IS FIREFOX NOW POLITICALLY DOMINATED? I AM SHOCKED AFTER BELIEVING THAT FIREFOX WAS NOT BLOCKING INFORMATION ON THE WEB THAT THEY DIDN'T POLITICALLY AGREE WITH! NOW I FIND OUT THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT FIREFOX AND ALL THEY HAVE IS THE STANDARD ASK A QUESTION FROM THE COMMUNITY! THERE ARE TOO MANY GLITCHES WITH DOWNLOADING THEIR UPDATES AND COMPLETELY LOSING MY SAVED PASSWORDS AND NOW THIS BROWSER HAS BLOCKED INFORMATION POSTED ON A NEWS ARTICLE THAT SHOWS TWITTER FEEDS BY THE PRIOR TWITTER ADMIN THAT HAS BEEN FIRED. I HAVE THE STANDARD SECURITY AND DO TRUST THE SITE THAT I AM ON BUT WITHOUT EXPLANATION FIREFOX HAS BLOCKED THOSE FEEDS IN THE ARTICLE. CERTAINLY NOT INTENDED TO PROTECT MY BROWSING BUT TO BLOCK AN INTENTIONAL POLITICAL PERSPECTIVE! I NO LONGER WANT TO TRUST FIREFOX/MOZILLA WITH MY BROWSING CAPABILITIES ESPECIALLY KNOWING IT IS ONLY VOLUNTEERS AND NOT SUPERVISED OR ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE TO GIVE ANSWERS!

My icons on google docs are invisible only in the firefox browser. If I mouse over their location then the words for the icon appear and I know where to click.

As a privacy-conscious user, I always worry about the 'Save As' dialog, and especially the 'Upload' dialog.

I know the Upload dialog enables websites to perform certain operations of files without even uploading them.

Can anyone please clarify: How much access to my computer do these dialogs give websites? Can they see all the files in the selected folder, even files I haven't selected? Can they look inside sub-folders, or even the parent folders? Can they tell the full path of the directory? Do they know my PC name?

I want to be sure.

Opening any tab at all gives the "Gah. Your tab just crashed." messsage. Even after disabling all extensions, and with a fresh install. The problem ceases when I launch firefox in troubleshoot mode. Any ideas what the issue may be?

bluescreens on my windows 10 desktop seem to occur primarily when watching videos on youtube or browsing facebook or switching internet sites. It seems like there is some sort of glitch in firefox. Three or four times a day is too much and makes me feel like firefox is not a secure browser. There are other browsers available. It's been happening ever since I upgraded my computer to 10. Is this just me? There does not seem to be a lot of similar issues in your FAQ's and I'm getting frustrated.

I enabled switch to tab for google calendar but now I can't get it to stop. I found this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1272327 and opened the pad lock and removed the switch to tab permission. But it is still doing it. I also tried going into the site settings and permissions and there the "Switch to this tab" is set to the default of Always Ask. I even tried blocking all notifications on the site but it's still switching to it and it gets really annoying.

I usually sing in/up several websites & extensions like workona , linkdin, quora , udemy etc but after turning off my computer or closing firefox, & returning on new session, the tab logins automatically restores & I have to login again. How to fix it ?

Firefox bookmarks toolbar has quit working properly: 1. Bookmarks toolbar shows as "Empty" 2. Bookmarks will only show ONE column. 3. I can only get one column to show in the Bookmarks. 4. If I click on the Name colum and then click on the Location column,

   only the Location column will show and I am unable to return to the Name column.

5. I am unable to get the Bookmarks Toolbar to show the necessary options.

i ve configured firefox to log out of active logins ( as shown in a screenshot ) i ve checked all the history clearing tabs, but after clearing i am still logged in sites, whats this ? and one more thing... i was logged in to that site in between the last our of clearing history. and why i ve been asked on this page to put my master password? when i am already logged in? is that a hacking attempt?

Dear Friends, Why don't the Firefox ESR updates install on my computer anymore - it won't go past 102.5? I keep hitting the download, then install the file and restart Firefox and even the computer sometimes, but it will NOT install the new versions.

Why?

It always has in the past. Now I can't access my online banking due to their security measures. Very upset!

When installing Firefox, I chose Microsoft Edge because I was currently using it. Google Chrome has all my favorites and bookmarks. I had no info in Microsoft Edge. I used it because I've had so much trouble with Google. Google has the info favorites and bookmarks that need to transfer to Firefox. I can't find a way to go back and correct my entry. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall Firefox to fix this.

I'm running an old combo linux & firefox: 14.04 & 55.0.2 Lately some sites appear as white screens, some load then turn white, some say 'old version' then white screen, and a few seem to load but buttons can't be pushed. Config probs? Are the sites doing it, or has HTML outpaced the old firefox? Happens in both normal and private mode.

Oddly, I've tried to install newer firefoxes, but couldn't install. Old linux?

Has only been a minor problem until lately.

A linux reinstall is still too big a hassle for the moment.

I recently came across this [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1276091|question] when searching for a solution to unintentional detaching of tabs. The responses included mention of an addon as well as a new setting added in version 74 that sounded like the perfect solution for me by retaining the ability to detach a tab to a new window if explicitly requested via context menu.

I configured allowTabDetach to "false" but today had a tab unintentionally move to a new window because I clicked on a tab too quickly while the mouse was in motion. I'm not sure if there was a regression in behavior for this setting or if perhaps it does not combine well with the Tree Style Tab extension.
