I found my old password Firefox recovery key after I already changed my password and got a new recovery key. Can I use my old recovery key to get back all the things (eg bookmarks) that may have gone missing with the switch to a new password?

I've recently uploaded a custom-made extension to the Chrome Web Store for my personal use and for a few specific users. It's currently awaiting review.

However, I'm encountering an issue where I cannot download and use the extension myself. When attempting to download, I receive the message "Download failed. Please check your connection."

Although I can see the extension listed on the store (since it's mine), I'm unable to use it personally.

Could you please assist me with resolving this issue?

when I search for Quicktext Tutorials i see a nicely working application which allows me to manage text components and include them neatly in my writing. But what is actually showing after installation is a bit meager.

I can choose between "variables" and "other". ""Variables" is of no use at all, Other" simly allowes me to include a saved file in text or html from a folder. Well, thats a bit stoneage like, but I would have worked with that option, but:

Unfortunately, there is no way that Quicktext will save textsnippets as html or text. I definitely do not see myself copying parts of emails into notepad and saving them manually. That would be a very lame automation and definitely not quick enough ;). Also I am looking for the sort of "preview" Outlook is offering with Quick Parts.

Does anyone know anything about this problem or can recommend a better addon? I hate writing the same stuff again and again and again.

I use the Mozilla Thunderbird email program and have just been overwhelmed by the number of "bookmarks" appearing under the "Bookmarks Toolbar." I don't want these additional bookmarks that I did NOT select. Moving them one by one is tedious--and I think new bookmarks are added to the toolbar if I delete any. How do I stop this? Is there a way to eliminate the added bookmarks in mass rather than singly? Thanks,

There should be a feature where you can copy the link to particular text on a webpage (much like when you click on a Google result for a certain part of an article). Where do I suggest features for Firefox?

Before Firefox used to keep private tabs 'open and available' till you closed the page out, for iphones, ipads, etc. Now all my private tabs are closing out every time I close the app. Before there used to be a section in settings that would allow you to turn this feature on/off, however it's not in settings anymore. I wanted to know if there is another way around this. I want to be able to keep private tabs open when I close out Firefox on my phone and ipad.Before I would have all my tabs available jut like regular browsing but now its cleared out evey time. Is there anyway to fix and change this?

I'd like to use microsoft exchanges in to the thunderbird desktop app. Is that possible? I've tried to set it up but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm able to receive emails but when I try to send it asks for a password and it says it's not correct....

I can't paste the link I get from Dropbox to connect FileLink for Dropbox into my settings. Why not? Even when I type the very long string by hand, it will not connect. What am I doing wrong? Is there a step I am missing? I really need this feature. Thanks- Pat Stoll

It used to be that we would see - in the account tree - a number telling us how many emails we have available to read. As you would open an email, this number would automatically reduce.

Now, not only do we get this email count, but I am getting an email count of ALL the email in an account folders (Inbox, Sent, Received, etc.). I don't know who invented this, but I do not want it.

How can I go back to Thunderbird only showing me my unread emails available?

Hi! I don't like the automatically updated extensions -feature, it seems to have been turned on nowadays, it has been maybe a year or two when you had control to update them by hand! I don't like this feature and it seems to now be in every browser that I use, Firefox, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi! Is there a way to turn this function off? Maybe a commandline function or an editable thing in a configuration file! Other browser developers should also think about this! I think Firefox has been a good browser to use, I used to use Opera but changed to Firefox quite accidentally when having to install things again!

I manage our browser configuration for our enterprise. We use group policy to restrict browser addons until they clear our internal security review.

I'm looking for a way to allow specific addons using group policy, while generally blocking everything else.

I've found the setting to enforce the installation of addons, but we'd like to avoid forcing every addon to install on every system as there would be overlap between things like password managers and such.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hello, ive been using T'Bird as my business email client.

Whenever I hit send it requires me to type the password in. How can i get it to remember it? Ive been through the settings and there is no option to save.

Ive tried deleting my account and adding a new one but its no different.

Firefox 115.11.0esr from openSuse doesn't display a status bar at the bottom of the window. How can I restore this feature to display the actual URL of a "link" under the cursor, as in Thunderbird?
