Good day.
My use case is the following. I use Firefox Developer Edition for developing websites. Usually the development happens on a certain part of the page. Most of the times it is not on the top of the page, so you have to scroll down to it.
Sometimes when the page is refreshed a jump to the top happens. So then I need to scroll down again. It takes a lot of time and concentration away if it happens dozens of times a day.
It often happens after I did some changes to the files on the page. It usually does not happen when I refresh the page a couple of times (when I purpously want to reproduce this problem).
I did try running Firefox in Safe mode, but it didn't help.
What can be done to fix this problem on my side? Is this a bug in Firefox itself?
When I click (middle mouse button) open a bookmark the browser immediately switches to it. I do not want that. Please help.

before the update, i was using a custom theme, and it behaved similarly to the normal dark theme. as in, when i opened a new tab, it was dark, and stuff like that. now that firefox has crashed and i've had the update involuntarily forced upon me, i'm still using the custom theme, but now it behaves as the light theme. is there any way to fix this? i don't appreciate being blinded whenever i open a new tab or adjust my settings.

There is a website that I block every day from my email. And every day it shows up again with the same email address. I use the message filter "from, contains" . Yet every day the same web site appears.
The site is " newsletter@zerohedge.com". How is the site bypassing my message filter? Other sites I block do not do this.

In a previous thread 5 years ago, it has been asked how the e-mail filters can be backed-up. Back then, the suggestion was to locate the msgFilterRules.dat in the profile folder.
I just created a new user profile in Thunderbird 91.9.0 and I created some new filters, but the file msgFilterRules.dat hasn't appeared in the profile directory. Has the file been changed? Any tips on how to back-up the filters? Using Ubuntu 20.04.

I was wondering if some websites ask for my microhpone permission, it can autofocus to the microhpone permission dialog of Firefox.
Because I sometimes use the Tab key to browse the websites, when the websites ask, I have to: 1. Press Tab key to several times to first get to the Firefox Menu Bar. 2. Press directional key to choose the phone icon. 3. Press Enter key to enter in the permission dialog.
Thank you.

When I try to load a png file with transparent background into firefox 35.0.1, the background appears black. I've already tried Transparent standalone images add-on with no results, including https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/transparent-standalone-image/reviews/?utm_source=firefox-browser&utm_medium=firefox-browser&utm_content=addons-manager-reviews-link and https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/transparent-standalone-images/reviews/?utm_source=firefox-browser&utm_medium=firefox-browser&utm_content=addons-manager-reviews-link
I also look at the previous question with the same name, from 2015: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1044582#question-reply
Unfortunately after trying to follow every step there, I have the same question as the OP did on 2/3/2015, except that the extension he recommends ( Old Default Image Style: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/old-default-image-style/ ) and the other two recommended by cor-el ( Transparent standalone images: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/transparent-standalone-imag/ and Custom Standalone Image Backgrounds: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/custom-image-backgrounds/ ) are all dead links in 2022.
I would appreciate some help with this.

Hello,
i recently want to check something in Firefox and noticed that in about:third-party where some modules were installed. I have no knowledge about these kind of stuff. There were like up to 10 modules with the sign that there were not signed.
So I wanted to check it on the next day. But these modules disappeared now.
The questions are: Is it normal that these modules disappear? Is it normal that some module are unsigned?
I notices that the modules come and go, depands on the Websites. Is it a common behaviour?
The most important one: Is there a way to trace die non-listed modules? Maybe in the Firefox Data or something?
Thanks for help!

Since the recent update to Firefox 100 the only usable theme seems to be the light theme.
When using other themes, for example the dark theme, some areas of Firefox become unreadable. For example the tab bar:

How can I change these colors individually, so I can use the dark theme again but still see and read my open tabs?

I am running Firefox 91.9.0esr and would like to know how to resize the URL / Address bar. I have found out how to resize the search bar with the following changes in about:config and using userChrome but setting #urlbar-container {max-width: 100px !important;} does not work:
browser.urlbar.disableExtendForTests = True browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus = False
1) Type about:config in the browser's address bar. 2) Confirm at the prompt that you will accept the risk and to view all. 3) Search for the following configuration preferences and set them all to FALSE (go slow):
browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus = False browser.urlbar.update1 = False browser.urlbar.update1.interventions = False browser.urlbar.update1.searchTips = False browser.urlbar.update1.view.stripHttps = False
browser.urlbar.maxRichResults = 0 (Default = 10)
