I don't need to see the Drafts, Sent Mail, All Mail, Spam, Trash, Important and Starred folders all the time. I used to be able to fold them under one arrow until needed, and only see MY inbox folders that I had created to filter my mail. But with the new update I can't do that anymore. How can I fix that? I have three accounts I like to see at a glance if I have emails to deal with. Now they don't all fit on the screen at once unless I close the Inbox arrow and hide my own folders. How can I hide the folders listed above? It's not like I use them often.

I have been searching far and wide for an answer and am stuck here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1368273

This solution doesn't work for Thunderbird 102.11.0 because there is no OTHER WRITING SYSTEMS. I have set LATIN on font and size, composition is set to HTML. Variable width is set, but if I change this to a specific font, it still shows something different than the font I've used to compose, so it doesn't seem to help.

Sent files show Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

Why is it so hard? I want my sent files to look like my composed files as much as possible. For example, if I use a serif font to compose, I want a similar or, if available, identical serif font, for readers if they use HTML as well. Thx in advance.

Hello,

Is there a way to change what the icon buttons in TB Supernova do? There is a Get Mail button that polls all accounts for mail at the same time. is there a way to use that button to poll only one account at a time - rather than the little check mail icon that is there now?

Thanks!

Hi,

My Ubuntu install upgraded my Thunderbird install to 115.3.1.

Since then, I have a strange behaviour when clicking on messages. Let me explain :

A first click highlights the message in the list of messages (grey blue in my case). The message is then shown in the massage pane.

However, in that state, the message cannot be deleted with the "delete" key. To delete it with the keyboard, it requires to be clicked again, and then it is highlighted in light blue in the messages list pane.

Is this a normal behaviour or did something go wrong with my install. I searched on the internet but I did not find anybody with a similar problem.

Best,

Patrick

Hey there,

i need help with Thunderbird 115.1.0 (64-Bit) which is the latest update for me after checking it. I am using the grouped folder featured and it's very handy to me. But i am missing two of my mailboxes here. In the Inbox they are all grouped. Please take a look on the picture. The numbers are associated with each mailbox and are obfuscated for privacy reasons.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi, I've had this problem two other times with various upgrades, where my setting no longer works. I need horizontal lines between message headers in all folders. My eyes need the lines to be able to scan across and not get lost. I am using TB v115.3.3 on Windows 11 Home.

Here is an old version of my problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1277758

Here is the full content of my userChrome.css file that is located here: C:\Users\Victoria\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\hid4pw25.default\chrome

@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);

/* Add bottom border to thread pane (message list) */

  1. threadTree treechildren::-moz-tree-row {
 border-bottom: 1px solid grey !important;

}

Thank you for any help.

I posted earlier about a search settings problem. I have been monkeying with things until I got a reply7 that led me to a fix. Except now I cannot see my addons on the toolbar and can't figure out how to make them visible. They seem to be there if I scroll over the spot but are not visible to me so that I can use them. Right click gives me the drop menu but left click gives nothing. And how do you get rid of that dang puzzle piece thing?

My Ubuntu distro offered a Thunderbird upgrade from 102 to 115.3.1 and I wish I hadn't taken it. After spending a lot of time getting Thunderbird display to be somewhat like my usual view, I am still unable to restore several favorites.

1. The status bar no longer shows me the total of unread messages 2. To save real estate on the screen, I usually do not display the File menu bar but the hamburger menu drop down in 115.3.1 is missing a lot of items that I used - empty trash being one of them and view>all headers is another. 3. The 'Get Messages' button on the top row doesn't enable me to be selective by mail account - again I have to display the menu bar and so lose screen space. 4. I cannot get the threaded message view to display lines showing the links between messages.

Maybe there are configuration changes I need to make? I'd appreciate whatever help can be offered. Thank you.

For the release version of TB 115.0

The quickfilter is broken is a particular manner:

   some characters can be entered in the quickfilter-box.
   other characters (i.e. 'r', 'o' the reply-shortcut key?) fail to be inserted/loses focus, and instead the reply- or open-message-action is initiated for the selected message.

I have not tested this extensively, but the issue shows up on my Win10 32-bit system
