Thunderbird 45 on Mac. I think the newest TB iteration lets the new email notification hang too long on the screen. Can't find a place to adjust the duration. Anyone know how it might be done? Thanks.

How after all these years we still don't have a button to get new mail from ALL accounts? And with the new Thunderbird (great, by the way), the button app I used doesn't work anymore.

Frustrating.

It would be so helpful to be able to do this.... When I click on a msg saved in a folder, then want to go back to the Inbox of msg I was looking at previously. Tried adding the forward and back arrows but that didn't do anything!

Is there a community forum for Add-ons? I don't see a link anywhere. It would be useful for exchanging tips & questions + suggestions for new ideas. I don't want to keep bugging the add-on developer with all my queries (they could check out the forum too).

I receive a lot of emails and a fair amount of them simply require a reply. The original email is no longer needed. From looking at the support site and web searches this does not appear to be a current function.

Hi, I have installed tbird 31.4 and addon printingtools 1.2.5, when I go to filters the print mail option is not there, the addon is installed and is enabled.

Can anyone help?

I have an email account for receipts. Each receipt is identical. I would like to send these receipts to MS access or Excel as data. Is there a programme add-on or any way this can work with out custom code?

I can't seem to figure out how to make this change in thunderbird: When exchanging emails with a single person, back and forth, each new reply is show in my inbox as an entirely new message. Only when I click on the "new message" do I see the previous conversation. Is there a way to keep replies from taking up a new spot in the inbox? I'm visualizing the way it works on gmail, where the space in the inbox remains the same, but a new message will be alerted by a number in parentheses.

It's driving me nuts.

I've just reinstalled the latest version of Thunderbird and managed to enable the Titlebar. Unfortunately it remains resolutely white and will not display the active or inactive title bar colours I have set for all my other applications.

Is there any way to make thunderbird accept the user-defined colours?

In looking at some other posts where people have had this problem, they were told it's because the account was set up as POP. But my gmail account in Tbird 52.5 32 bit is set up as Imap and I still don't get the Subscribe option when right clicking on a folder.

Whenever I hit reply the compose window opens and when I close the window (i.e., with or without typing text), I receive the prompt: “Message has not been sent. Do you want to save the message in the Drafts folder?”

The prompt allows me to click “yes” and very quickly save email that require a response to my drafts folder.

However, I stopped receiving the prompt after upgrading to Thunderbird 45.8.0 or 52.1.1 and I cannot identify how to turn in back on, or if the feature is available in the new versions.

If I add text or a space to the text field I do receive the prompt, but this is far less efficient when sorting through hundreds of email; as compared to a prompt and click method without the need to modify the text field. This feature really save me a lot of time.

Help re-enabling the prompt will be greatly appreciated.

I am new to Thunderbird. I have been using Eudora for so long and since it does'nt display chinese characters I would like to switch to Thunderbird. Eudora allows me to edit the incoming messages and print after that. I sometimes alter the message content, like delete portion of it or change the font before I print but this option is not available in Thunderbird. I use the latest version of Thunderbird which is version 45. I have tried browsing and installed few add-ons to allow me to do this job. But unfortunately I am not able to solve the issue. It would be great of any one of you could help me.

Some pictures will appear, and others show up as a gray box. I have tried everything I can find about it, but nothing seems to work. Frustrating. Thanks for any help.

I updated thunderbird, but it is in English. I need the tools for the Italian language, but the file "it.xpi" is not compatible with the version just downloaded (version 30.0).

If I right-click on any photo or item in the explorer and choose "share", the mailadresses that show up as options in the "share window" is not associated with Thunderbird, but with Outlook. I have tried every solution I have found on the net, incl. making sure TB was chosen as the mail client for any file type, removing any leftovers from outlook and from registration data base, but still only adresses connected with Outlook shows up (and I can see that it is from an old mailing list, that does not include more recent contacts). So why does the share windows not have assess to Thunderbird and its mail adresses?

I thought there used to be a warning when you emptied the trash, but I no longer see it. Am I think of my old Eudora program, or is there a warning in Thunderbird. If so, how do I get it back?

I only see 14 fields listed in the drop down box beside the default column names and a 15th selection that says "Restore Column Order" ... but there are obviously many more actual field stored in the actual Address Book.
