Since a few weeks I use Thunderbird 38.1.0.

But when I will get some add-ons, the site informs me that all the add-ons are not compatible with my version of Thunderbird 38.1.0.

I use windows 7 Pro 64.

Please can anybody help me with this problem?

Thunderbird 45 on Mac. I think the newest TB iteration lets the new email notification hang too long on the screen. Can't find a place to adjust the duration. Anyone know how it might be done? Thanks.

In business e-mails, there are some common text entries that I hope to be able to create and save in Thunderbird, simply using Insert. This could be done in Outlook Express. Or am I doomed to copy and paste from my Word 2007 program Quick Parts?

Hi, I have installed tbird 31.4 and addon printingtools 1.2.5, when I go to filters the print mail option is not there, the addon is installed and is enabled.

Can anyone help?

Is there any way to disable the hot keys option for Thunderbird? I'm tired of typing keys (when I think I'm in another application) and then my emails start going through marking them as read, archiving and Ignoring Threads. Can't afford to try and figure out what letter caused what email to disappear.

The "add on" asked exists in "Microsoft Words toolbar" : "Aa"

It means to swap from "Low cases to high cases" or "high cases to low cases".

The view of a particular folder is controllable but I have not found the ability to display the emails as a timeline of events (sends/receives). I read that an extension exists but cannot find it. How do I do this?

Outlook has this ability.

I have been able to install keyconfig, but I can't find the code for simple things like: forward-char backward-char move-beggining-of-line move_end-of-line and other emacs-like commands. The page http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyconfig_extension:_Thunderbird has a long list of command I can shortcut, but none of the simple ones I need to navigate the composition window, in emacs-like style.

I have 5 mailbox (see image screen at beginning) and usually I can go from one to another seing a navigation volet (french term sorry) and I don't know what happen, I'm in one of them, impossible to see the others (see screan now) and to go in the other mailbox.... could you help me to recover the navigation volet on the left regards and merry chrismass ;-) Ronie

each incoming e-mail adds the address to my file--iwant to stop this--noted in "discussion" that there is an add-on that will add the names--I did not download this add-on and can find ne record of it

Is there a community forum for Add-ons? I don't see a link anywhere. It would be useful for exchanging tips & questions + suggestions for new ideas. I don't want to keep bugging the add-on developer with all my queries (they could check out the forum too).

I have an email account for receipts. Each receipt is identical. I would like to send these receipts to MS access or Excel as data. Is there a programme add-on or any way this can work with out custom code?

Macbook Pro with OSX 10.6.8 and Eudora OSE When I go to attach a file ( .jpg, ... ), the width of the name field opens up in list mode as about 8 columns wide. I looked through all the hidden prefs and could not find anything that might modify it. I am getting tired of having to expand it every time I attach a file. Where is this parameter hiding ??? HELP

I can't seem to figure out how to make this change in thunderbird: When exchanging emails with a single person, back and forth, each new reply is show in my inbox as an entirely new message. Only when I click on the "new message" do I see the previous conversation. Is there a way to keep replies from taking up a new spot in the inbox? I'm visualizing the way it works on gmail, where the space in the inbox remains the same, but a new message will be alerted by a number in parentheses.

It's driving me nuts.

I have many (50+) folders in my email to hold messages from different organizations and individuals I correspond with. I copy almost all of my incoming emails to these folders to archive my mail by sender.

In certain cases I would also like to put copies of emails I send into the same folder that the incoming mail goes into so I have a complete record of correspondence to that person or group. I have nor been able to figure out how I can do that automatically when I send an email.

The only way I can think of is to manually run a message filter on the Sent folder, but I have a hard time remembering to do that.

Any tip you have woukd be helpful - even if it's one that makes me feel stupid for not thinking of it myself.

I was hoping there might be a feature or add-on that will allow me to automatically print an email after I send it. For the purpose of creating a paper trail we have to print out at least the 1st page of all emails sent to our clients. Love using Thunderbird and would like to keep using it. I know there is a feature in Outlook. Hope you guys have one too :)

When I begin to type a name into the To: line, can options appear from my address book so that I can just click on the option rather than have to consult my address book every time
