II'm using Win 10 Pro and am having an issue with adding new FF profiles.

I have a shortcut icon in the (bottom) Win 10 taskbar. I've created new FF profiles with unique names and paths, etc. But when I open FF as one of those profiles the open window(s) "attach" to an icon / shortcut in the taskbar, even tho' that icon / shortcut has a completely different target (i.e., path for starting FF).

I don't want windows from Profile New 1 or Profile New 2 to look as if they are for Profile Icon_in_the_Taskbar.

I hope this makes sense. I've created profiles in the past and didn't run into this problem so perhaps it's me. But I also don't believe I'm doing anything different than before.

Built in PDF reader is showing blank and then prompting to close firefox -

Please help I am support a company who are really big on Firefox and love the built in PDF reader feature but recently when they open files they show blank and you ar then requested to close Firefox.

Any ideas of what the problem could be?

He has the latest version of Firefox from today I can see there was an update 2 days ago and there where some new features on the reader could this be the reason?

Once Firefox was updated to the latest version nothing worked anymore.

No changes to the Settings were saved. Keeps loading the Mozilla page even after I changed to google.ca. Rebooted, restart the browser, etc. Nothing works. Changing the security settings restart the browser then it won't connect to the web.

Everything worked perfectly with the previous version. As soon as it upgraded nothing worked properly anymore.

Tried to go back to 118 but it keeps updating.

Using a very old version right now to be able to connect (56.0.2) and told it NOT to update.

I want set my new tab page to open a local file. The same local file is also used for my home page. Until recently, I used the new tab extension to do this, however that stopped working.

There are many existing posts out there regarding this, so it seems it is a desired feature. However, none of the posts are applicable to the latest configuration 119.0 (October 2023).

Is there a way to force the new tab to open a local file? Or open the home page (which is also a local file)?

Firefox will NOT LET ME assign a downloads folder, and doesn't ever ask where to save (though that IS checked). There is NOTHING the support base or community I can find addressing this. It tells you to check "ask" and or to assign a downloads folder. Well, I Have checked "ask" and it doesn't ask. And it will not let me select a downloads folder.

And all downloads "fail." So I cannot use Firefox io download anything.

This is a bug. The settings do not work.

I have updated to latest version, this has been the case thru multiple versions. I am using a M1 Macbook pro with Monterey OS.

Very disappointed that there is still no 'fix' for this far too large Message List Pane issue.

I neither want nor need to see 10 emails listed while I can hardly read the email below! Loads of people have complained about it and we have had three updates since SuperNova, but no fix for this simple matter.

Actually, it doesn't need 'fixed' - we just have to go back to the settings as they were. Help!

Maybe I'm using the most recent version, but there is no ADVANCED option under MESSAGE STORAGE as per all instructions. I need to have a Global Inbox for all the email accounts I have combined. Help needd urgently.

When i updated Firefox just now it offered several recommended security add-ons. I added a few of them. But now I can't access Facebook. I disabled them one at a time and still cannot get in. What do I do now?

Is it possible to not have a default sender selected when sending emails, so I'll have to choose every time I write a new email? I know I can select a default, but I have to switch between multiple email accounts rather often and want to avoid using the wrong one by accident.

Updated to 115.4.1 - 64 bit.

Mailbox appears crowded. Line spacing seems closer than earlier versions. Looks cluttered, distracting.

Any way to change the actual font and/or line spacing to customize UX?

One of the best things about Firefox is that i could use other fonts on the website and now I can't. Just stuck with this crappy one.. or tell me how to change it as I have tried..

I'm using Thunderbird since long time and I always configured it to do not thread messages. Now with the latest upgrade to 115.4.1 (32-bit) I see that the view in the main window is still with no thread (and I have an option do enable/disable such mode).

However when I do a search the list of resulting messages is threaded. The issue is that when I double click on one of them, multiple windows are opened, this is not only inconvenient (I have to close them one by one) but in some cases also cause cause performance issue, TB itself reports a warning "Opening 19 messages may be slow. Continue?".

How can I disable the threaded view in the search results ?

I have to reset my setting every time I start Thunderbird. The setting that seems to be systematically lost is the "mark messages as read on display." Incoming messages are not always in boldface so I don't realize I have new messages!! How can I fix these things. I am using a PC with Windows 10.

Recently (I am not sure what update started this) I started noticing "chevrons" in one particular folder under my inbox. How do I turn this unfeature off and get all emails as a new entry instead of the "chevron" method of hiding replies. This is very annoying and we need a way to turn this BAD idea off!

I've been upgraded to 115, like it or not, and now my list of viewed email titles will only shorten to 10 emails instead of the previous 4, which leaves very little room to view an opened email. IOW, the double arrow will only let me raise the bottom boundary to be below a list of 10 emails. How can I shorten it back to 4??
