I've been upgraded to 115, like it or not, and now my list of viewed email titles will only shorten to 10 emails instead of the previous 4, which leaves very little room to view an opened email. IOW, the double arrow will only let me raise the bottom boundary to be below a list of 10 emails. How can I shorten it back to 4??

I want set my new tab page to open a local file. The same local file is also used for my home page. Until recently, I used the new tab extension to do this, however that stopped working.

There are many existing posts out there regarding this, so it seems it is a desired feature. However, none of the posts are applicable to the latest configuration 119.0 (October 2023).

Is there a way to force the new tab to open a local file? Or open the home page (which is also a local file)?

Very disappointed that there is still no 'fix' for this far too large Message List Pane issue.

I neither want nor need to see 10 emails listed while I can hardly read the email below! Loads of people have complained about it and we have had three updates since SuperNova, but no fix for this simple matter.

Actually, it doesn't need 'fixed' - we just have to go back to the settings as they were. Help!

When pressing the up arrow key with text in the URL bar, the bottom suggestion is selected, rather than returning the text cursor to the beginning. It used to place the insertion point at the very beginning of whatever text was in there, and then another up arrow press would select the bottom suggestion, but now it instantly wraps to the very bottom selection. It's quite frustrating when trying to modify a search query - now you either have to hold the left arrow key, or accurately click with the mouse

For instance, say I type "cloud" in the URL box, but figure "storm cloud" would be a better search. I can't just press the up arrow to add "storm ", because pressing the up arrow once now just replaces the entire line of text with "https://soundcloud.com/", completely ruining my search. I'm pretty sure this was recently changed with an update. Is there any hope of changing it back?

I have been trying to get the Add-on "sponsorblock" on Firefox for Android. However when I check the Add-on page for it, it tells me that I need a more updated version of Firefox. I have checked multiple times, and confirmed that I am already on the newest version and there are no updates for me to get. Is this add-on no longer supported on the Android version of this browser, or is there some other issue?

It always worked, i just alt+tab to firefox, quick spacebar and youtube video paused until few days ago, now i need to specificaly click on the video in order for it to work, other buttons work, other video websites like netflix dont have any problem. I remember new update tab opened. Why do you have to break everything? Don't know how long that show all tabs button is up there but I tried couple times to remove it and its impossible, why URL bar is also search bar? Why? everyone can but search bar whenever we want, even right next to it, who thinks of this bullshit? Instead of being user friendly you put useless shit into it making it work like a my 16 bit PC when people expect it to run smoothly and quickly.

Recently my Inbox view keeps resetting View to Sort/Threaded - I can reset to Unthreaded but at some point it switches back. I think it might happen after I have been using search function where lots of emails can be displayed but Im not sure. Also it affects my wife's separate inbox even when I have only searched my own....any solution please ?

I want the Firefox suggestions to show up when I click on the address bar. Currently, it shows up only when I type a letter. I am unable to find the settings for it. I know it's a silly query, but would still appreciate it if it could be answered.

SHORT VERSION: Is it possible to make hunderbird show me, in the main window, that there is a tagged email ALSO inside a subfolder? EXPLANATION I am trying to be tidy and organised in my work emails with Thunderbird ;) Therefore I BOTH divide emails in subfolders AND flag the emails I have to postprocess but I don't have time right when I receive them. BUT I STILL HAVE TO POSTPROCESS THEM!!! However, if a flagged email is in a subfolder, Thunderbird doesn't show me that is flagged. In other words, if I want to see if there are unprocessed emails, I would have to enter each subfolder (which I don't do - so I don't postprocess the email! (angel) )

I was wondering if it is possible to make the open folder of emails on the right and then the view of the emails on the right? I have it set up on "Vertical" layout and would like all of the messages to be on the right hand side of the screen, but the view of the message in the middle between "all folders" and the open message

In Chrome I was able to have a home page as well as a first-up page. So, for my first-up page, I had Proton Mail for my email. Then, for my home page I had the New York Times. I'd like to be able to do the same here with Firefox, if possible.

I'm using Thunderbird since long time and I always configured it to do not thread messages. Now with the latest upgrade to 115.4.1 (32-bit) I see that the view in the main window is still with no thread (and I have an option do enable/disable such mode).

However when I do a search the list of resulting messages is threaded. The issue is that when I double click on one of them, multiple windows are opened, this is not only inconvenient (I have to close them one by one) but in some cases also cause cause performance issue, TB itself reports a warning "Opening 19 messages may be slow. Continue?".

How can I disable the threaded view in the search results ?

When I right click on the menu bar and choose "customize" there is a "button style" selection at the bottom of the page where one can choose to display "icons beside text", "icons above text", "icons only" or "text only" but regardless of what option I select, I only get text. I believe it was was working properly when I first updated to 115.4.1 but then quit.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Thunderbird to no avail. How can I get it working properly?

I import my local folders from my NAS unit, My Documents/mail.

The folder headings are all there, but there is no content when I click on the headings?

This does not happen in the windows 10 version?

When i updated Firefox just now it offered several recommended security add-ons. I added a few of them. But now I can't access Facebook. I disabled them one at a time and still cannot get in. What do I do now?
