Not sure if if this is a settings issue. All good, except the Status Bar and progress bar do not show progress activity during prompted cleaning of all accounts, as before. I cannot tell if it's still working or not, or if I can close the program without crashing or corrupting something. I am guessing it's working as the HD light is busy. Eventually (some accounts are large) the status bar indicates it compacted to save ___MB. Version 152.0 on Windows 10, supported.

I realize this can be a macOS issue as the problem appeared when I upgraded to 26x but I'm hoping that maybe there's another way of allowing windows to be moved with a mouse. This issue appears only under tbird and not under any other Apple or non-Apple products.

The new child window(s) opens up in the default location(s).

The issue has survived several OS updates up to the current one. I switched from macOS 15x to 26x in around January 26.

Firefox does not really open any child windows that I could find but browsing windows work as expected.

I'm running the latest version of Thunderbird 140.12.1esr on 15.7.7 (24G720) on an M1 processor.

I'm witnessing Memory leak > Thunderbird who usually use 800MB jumps to Gb up to 60Gb

It makes this version unusable.

when I use Firefox continuously for a long time..., it’s it’s continuously become freeze and kick me out ....I need a solution of this...as soon as possible. .And i also need the group folder create feature like chrome

Downloading messages is now noticeably slower on an older desktop if the 'Inbox' folder is selected/focus. If focus is changed to a different folder (i.e. 'Sent') the message downloads become blazing fast.

Deleting messages seems slower as well and I think it is related. May involve inserting/deleting entries in the grid.

I'm having a problem with Firefox running very slowly, especially when watching YouTube videos. Videos take a long time to load, keep buffering, and sometimes get stuck while playing. The browser also feels slow overall, not just on YouTube. My internet connection seems to be working normally. I have already tried clearing all browsing history, cookies, and cache, but the issue still persists. I'm not sure if the problem is related to Firefox settings, extensions, hardware acceleration, or possibly a hardware issue with my PC.

My Thunderbird uses between 19 and 34 GB of RAM. It's cyclical (with a period of about 10 minutes).

What do you suggest?

Whenever I do anything with email I get a message "not responding" which causes a delay for a few minutes before it proceeds This occurs with almost every action Open email, delete email, browse a different folder (eg Inbox to Sent) it suddenly started happening yesterday

The folders in my desktop email are empty of messages, even though at the top in the folder description there is a statement of how many messages it contains.

I have tried: Updating my Thuderbird account. Following the 'repair folder' procedure then restarting Uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird. The various suggestions for subcribing to folders, and all other possible fixes I can find online.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a new laptop and installed Thunderbird. It shows lots of messages in all the folders, but will not show any messages in the message screen. It just continues to show the opening logo

Creating a brand new profile on a SMB shared drive is making TB almost unusable. Even before creating a mail account it is so slow.

I'm using this version of TB 128.7.1esr (32-bit)

Just recently Firefox has gotten really slow to open. Sometimes it won't open at all. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it which helped for about 2 tries. I thought it might be a problem with my phone but chrome loads instantly. Once it does open it's slow to go wherever I try to go and sometimes just quits and takes me back to the home screen.

So I have noticed it for a couple of years now, and still this issue isn't solved. I am attaching the screenshot. When my phone is in an idle state, the Firefox app is in the background and my screen is switched off. Then the Android device should go into doze mode and save battery, but that doesn't happen due to Firefox. There is an audio wake lock, and it doesn't let the phone go into doze mode. If I always try to close the tabs when I am leaving Firefox, then yeah, it gets solved, but that defeats the purpose of having a powerful smartphone.

Why is Thunderbird consistently taking about 90% CPU? My laptop is trying to jet off! Unless until I kill it, which improves the situation for a while, but give it a couple of hours and it is back at it again!

One of my six different Gmail accounts that I have active in Thunderbird takes forever to catch up and load up compared to all the rest ... this has been going on for years

The update bar in the lower right will sit there at halfway through for minutes... .

When I try to delete mail from Deleted folder (even if there is just 1 email), the thuderbird gets unresponsive. Same when i try to select few emails (headers) for deletion or moving to another folder. Running on Windows 11
