Since upgrading to Thunderbird v102 on my Mac I've lost events from my Lightning Calendar. I seem to have lost all my bi-weekly or monthly repetitive events (my one-off or annual repetitive events seem to be in tact).

I've tried closing the calendar and restarting Thunderbird but all to no avail. I was wondering whether I might restore my Lightning Calendar from my Time Machine backup (before I updated to v102) and, if so, what files I might need to replace.

Good morning!

I update Thunderbird systematically. After the last "big update" I can't turn off the old name day reminders in the calendar in any way. The "off" or "off all" button does not work. Thunderbird reminds me of old events all the time, every few minutes. Please help or correct a bug in the program code.

Hi

I recently upgraded my Thunderbird client to v102. The calendar export options have changed and when reviewing the Release Notes Release Notes I note in the "Changed" - Support for importing and exporting calendars from Outlook CSV format was removed

This has significantly impacted my usage. This is where my timesheets are created / stored. This format is excellent for further analysis and billing. To use html or ics is very limiting and problematic for such purposes.

From what I have found online, all ics to csv convertible tools are a extremely poor substitute

Can this be reversed or can someone suggest an add-on to remedy this situation ?

Hello Everyone.

I'm trying to connect my Thunderbird 91.11.0 to my provider's CalDav server. The calendar does exist on the server, and the according mail account on Thunderbird had been created earlier, way before using the calendar.

Whatever I'm trying - I always get a 401 / Unauthorized from their server ( as usual: Of course I *think* that the credentials should be correct ;-) ).

The steps are as usual: 1) On Thunderbird's calendar page I say 'Create new calendar' 2) Choose 'On the Network' 3) Add the data for the user name, and the location of the CalDav server as provided by the provider ('offline support' has been enabled or not) -> 'Find Calendars' 4) Enter the password

-> Result is always that 'The credentials you have entered were not accepted....'

What I tried (all with the same result): a) Tried several combination of several forms of the user name ('user@provider', and 'user' only) with several variants of the calendar server (provided caldav URL with/without https:// ; URL/path/to/calendars; common server name of the provider)

b) Switched on debugging at dveloper tools (first without calendar debug as I was not aware yet).

  ->  The only strange thing (well, for me) was that Thunderbird was already trying to authenticate with the caldav server after step 3, although I was not asked yet to input the password ('... doesn't require credentials' was off)
  ->  The answer of the server was a plain 401/Unauthorized
  ->  Not sure about the server type of the provider. The response header says server=nginx, but I assume that it's somehow a dummy value. Maybe the below hint to sabredav is what I need
  ->  It's quite sure that the correct server has been reached because www-authenticate in the response shows the basic realm verbosely as "\[provider url] CalDav Kalender Server\" 
  ->  The verbose error message of the server is \n<d:error xmlns:d=\"DAV:\" xmlns:s=\"http://sabredav.org/ns\">\n  Sabre\\DAV\\Exception\\NotAuthenticated\n  Username or password was incorrect\n</d:error>\n

NOTE: I have the .har file, but I don't want to spread it around yet - please ask if you need a concrete piece.

c) Contacted the provider's support team (it's a paid account). They just confirmed that for the server it's also just a wrong user name / password, and asked some -well- standard questions like special characters in the pw, or using username instead of user.name@provider (thus, I'm not sure whether it was beyond level 1 support). I tried out new ideas - without success (I have incorporated them in my above list of tested combinations)

d) I checked the web (and especially bugzilla / Mozilla support pages). There have been quite a number of CalDav issues (often related to Nextcloud), but the errors I found don't match.

e) During the check in d) I found the hint to the calendar.debug.log(.verbose) settings. Hence I switched them on and retried. I assume the result don't go beyond the normal debug log:

I'm subscribed to my Google Calendar and also checked off the shared calendars Holidays in United States and my wife's Calendar. Recently my wife's calendar stopped updating. I can see events she added a few weeks ago but nothing she's added recently.

As a test we both added fake events for this evening then I forced a sync. The event I created appeared in Thunderbird but hers did not. I can see both when I visit calendar.google.com

Could you please assist for that issue: I've updated 91.latest Thunderbird to 102.1.2 and all tasks disappear? I can't make return to previous version of thunderbird 91 where is lightning work properly. However, I made buck up copy of my calendar and I can see all tasks in file, but it's not appeared in version 102.

I have 10 calendars to sync and all but 2 are from different sources. myical.ics and Hawks.ics are from the same source (a folder on my web site). Hawks.ics works fine, as do the other 8, but myical.ics does not display (so I don't know if it syncs or not). myical.ics syncs perfectly in google calendar I tried a new profile but the problem remains the same. I have reverted to ver 91.12 and it works okay (as it has for many years). Is this a known problem ? If not, some assistance would be appreciated as I will not update to 102 until it is fixed.

· Vi behöver gå igenom din ”Testvägen” i Xpand och få fram en struktur som håller på samtliga områden.

o Går det att ändra text/numreringar hur som helst på samtliga nivåer utan påverkan av historik ex. ekonomi, AO?

re-build calendar

A recent update completely trashed my calendars. Fortunately they were synced on google, so I can still access them, but I would like to get them back on TB so that I get reminders on my desktop.

But I can't.

Athough the calendars are empty, TB remembers their names and lists them all as disabled. When I tyry to enable and sync them with TbSync, I get an error message which, unhelpfully, I am unable to copy and paste here.

Have tried deleting the entire contents of the calendar-data folder so the TB will be forced to rebuild files, but it still remembers the calendar names.

Basically, I have no calendar data to lose as it is all stored on google, so I just want to clear all calendars on TB so that I can import from google and start again.

Any tips much appreciate.

Before thunderbird 91, in lightning calendar, event titles would wrap around in the calendar entry, but now only one line is displayed and cut off with ..., even when it's a long event with lots of additional lines for the title. Can the event title be made to wrap, like in previous versions?

A few months ago I installed Provider for Google Calendar. It seemed to work fine. I create an event in TB and it shows up in GC. Lately, though ( the last month or so) two things have happened: 1) Notifications for events in the GC don't go away when dismissed, even if I explicitly Synchronize, and 2) any new event, created in TB and then sync'd, shows up in GC but not in TB (!). I'm running TB 98.0b2 and Provider 91.0.4.

I this an upgrade issue? I tried looking for add-on updates and none were found.
