I turned off my Mac Mini 2 last night, February 7, and when I turned it on this morning, all my Firefox bookmarks were gone.

Everything else is fine (Chrome bookmarks, which are different from those in Firefox, remain intact). And yes, I should have known better, but since when a Firefox update deletes all bookmarks?

I'm guessing that is the reason, because everything else is intact.

Any suggestions as to whether there is ANY way to recover them?

My bookmarks have duplicated and I didn't do anything except try to sync with my laptop and desktop. I tried the only solution I could find, the "verify integrity - Places Database" and that did nothing. If this can't be fixed, it's time to move on to another browser.

Up to several months ago when I tried to bookmark a website or YouTube video I had previously bookmarked a dialog box would come up asking if I still wanted to bookmark the website or YouTube video. What ever happened to that feature. I really liked it. Or is it a case changing some kind of setting to turn it back on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a new computer, and they were to transfer all my stuff from my old computer, but they told me that my bookmarks are in a file that they cannot open. I would like to be able to get to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Hi, I have a lot of bookmarks that are specifically made to always open in a specific container.

After updating to 121 I'm always asked if I want to open the URL in a container.

How can I get rid of the question and just always assume "Yes"?

While trying to add my existing bookmarks (from previous computer) I get message - SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT

Please tell me what to do. I cannot find any reference to this message.

I have used Mozilla and Firefox for over 20 years now and thoroughly enjoyed it - but have never had and problems of this nature.

An account was opened in Firefox with this Gmail account: pmkamirul@gmail.com In which the user and password of different accounts were saved. Today 28.01.24 due to Windows problem on my laptop, I set up new windows again and installed Mozilla Firefox and tried to open the Mozilla account but it took about 15 minutes because I did not give the correct password. Later I reset the password and opened the Firefox account with the new password 01714303182 but even when the Firefox account was opened, nothing saved previously came back. Please help me to recover my previously saved data.

Firefox used to open the bookmarks to the left showing all the bookmarks, ever since that last update not the go right and aren't even the bookmarks I want, how do I change it back

I received a virus message alert that popped up on my screen. I then hit control alt delete and shut down Firefox, when I reopening it, my bookmarks were gone and not even able to add new bookmarks. An error message stating something like, another program is using the file keeps appearing. I'm able to log into a different computer and my bookmarks are there.

I have been using Firefox for YEARS. I love it, and have always been able to sign-in from a new device and have my bookmarks brought to my new device. For some reason, that is not happening this time.

When I click to sync or import bookmarks, the only options I have are Chrome, a couple others, and from Firefox HTML or CSV file. I do not know how to save the bookmarks. I would think that I could save them on a external hard drive and bring them over, but I do not know that process. It was so much easier when I could log in and bring them over.

Please help. I was so confident when purchasing this new laptop, now I am a bit irritated. Please explain how to bring my bookmarks over to my new device.

Hello, Firefox updated and my bookmarks are nowhere to be found. I turned on the show bookmarks and there is nothing there. I had so many and really rely on the easy access. There is no older version on my laptop. Are they gone forever. I really love firefox but am disappointed that this happened. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to retrieve my bookmarks. Thank you
