Hi. I can't access my add-ons that I installed. When I click on the extensions icon it doesn't open that little menu like it does for other people, but it takes me to 'about:addons' in a new tab. I also want to pin my addons to my toolbar which is also not working. Please help me out

Hello, as of recently Firefox got the new tool to highlight text in the native PDF viewer, and I really enjoyed using it. As of today, I had not updated or changed versions, but I suddenly lost access to the highlight tool option. Refreshing the page didn't work, downloading a new PDF and opening it didn't work, restarting Firefox didn't work, and I haven't seen anybody else have this issue.

Firefox Version> Firefox Developer Edition 125.0 Beta 8 (20240403091602) OS> Windows 11

I don't know if this is just an issue due to it being in beta, or it being on beta 7 but not 8, but either way any solution is appreciated!

I have used Firefox on many systems - MacOS, Linux, Winblows and mainly Android Cellphone.

"about:config" on a Cellphone has never worked, never worked consistently, or mainly been confused with Desktop Firefox :P

Hello?!? The future is mobile not stationary desktops  :P But I digress. Please dont misunderstand me - I love FF - but when I want "about:config" on A Cellphone - I WANT IT to actually work on a freaking cellphone  :P

Is the software config too much for International Mozilla to understand? Or has Mozilla had way to much input from everyone on the planet thus watering down an otherwise great browser?

Kind of rhetorical - I know it will never be fixed in favor of locking in a dieing desktop setup  :P

After a update my browser was running very slow, I'm not sure what I did but my whole browser, including history and bookmarks and add ons reverted back years. But I have a whole folder of Old Firefox Data which is from today.

How do I get this back on there and get everything back to normal?

I have had this problem for a while. I am not sure what to do so that I can fix this. Whenever I open a pdf or any application that can be opened in the browsers shows me two options for firefox browser. I attached a picture that will make it obvious what the problem is.

Hey folks, I use the firefox developer edition and I downloaded a zip file in it's private and when the download was complete I closed the window and open the download folder but the file was not there I haven't change the downloads folder location

Today when I close many tabs using control w firefox seems to randomly jump around when choosing which next tab to close

I wish to have firefox always close the adjacent tab to the tab I just closed

This should be the default behavior ... I do not see any setting for this ... is there an addon to do this ?

I am using the latest firefox on ubuntu

I have a problem on YouTube where videos are too bright, but when i click for example to save that video to watch later it has normally saturated colors. And I'm using windows. On photo example1 video is too bright, but on example2 it is normal. thanks for help

In my previous browser, when opening new tabs, they were considered active even if I did not immediately switch to them. This behavior allowed me to open multiple tabs, for example, by using the mouse wheel to open several videos from the main YouTube page. Subsequently, when closing the main page, the videos would be available in the order they were opened, facilitating a seamless viewing experience.

Upon transitioning to Firefox, I have attempted to configure the browser to replicate this behavior using the Sidebery extension. However, even with the extension, new tabs are not recognized as active unless I explicitly switch to them, making it challenging to maintain the desired tab activation order.

I have explored various settings and experimented with the Sidebery extension but have not been successful in achieving the desired result. In contrast, the Yandex browser, with the "Switch to the previous active tab when closing a tab" option enabled, behaves in the manner I am accustomed to.

Could you please provide guidance on how I can configure Firefox to consider new tabs active immediately upon opening, regardless of whether I switch to them immediately?

I am using Ubuntu 23.10.1 with KDE Plasma desktop environment. Since recently I've been experiencing the following problem with Firfox document viewer: after a period of inactivity, PDFs become unreadable, and seem to cumulate everything that was displayed on screen (see screenshot). Ctrl + F5 does not help, and neither does closing the window and opening a new one with a link to the file. KDE Document Viewer displays the same file correctly.

I'm using FF on Fedora 39.

However Firefox does not remember any file associations. The MimeTypes.rdf file in the profile is missing and is also not created on restarting the browser.

In the options I've now set the configuration to "Ask whether to open or save files". Now I see a popup when clicking on a file however there is no checkbox with "remember this file associations" (or something similiar).

I've had an ongoing issue with Firefox now for several months since upgrading to windows 11. When I try to copy text, or images, url's or anything really that is supposed to go to the clipboard, it copies a blank text with no data instead. I can copy text and images from other programs and even paste them into text fields on Firefox but I can't copy from Firefox to anything else and it's frustrating.

I recently got forced into upgrading Outlook in windows and hated it so I started using Thunderbird and surprisingly, I have the exact same issue there as well.

I really want to get this fixed and working, I don't want to have to switch to another browser =/.
