This issue hasn't happened until ever since the newest windows 10 insiders preview Build 17063,rs)prerekease,171213-1610 was release and update to my computer first i thought it was a driver issue so I did a full reinstall of windows 10 and this time I installed firefox again and it finally worked for audio with no issues but after I did the update again no websites can play audio. In the sounds manager it says that firefox isn't even playing audio at all and even though I have no muted windows in firefox or in youtube it still has not audio. But audio does work in the Microsoft edge.

On window 10 with V57. It has been happening for a few days, maybe after the update? I also installed Norton 360 in the last few days ... not sure if any impact.

I have now updated to V58 Beta ... seems that slowness after clicks and scrolls from my external and my built-in keyhpad is a bit better ... however still firefox is unusable. It totally blocks while typing an email in GMAIL ... specially when gmail is (auto)"saving".

Help! I am a fan of firefox ... but now have had to move to MS Edge :(((((((

I had the same problem a while ago, with my Firefox Developer Edition, and even added the VLC Plug-in... Now, neither Browser plays Video, and I may have to go back to Google Chrome for a fix....

Last night, I noticed there was an upgrade available to version 58.0b12 64-bit of Firefox (checked for updates from within Firefox). I updated to this version and since then, I no longer have any audio on any websites. Those same websites work in Chrome, Edge, and Internet Explorer. I have checked to make sure the tab isn't muted (it's not). I have also gone through the steps outlined in the support article (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-to-do-if-firefox-wont-play-any-sounds) that instructs you to check your mixer, etc. None of that has changed and all of those settings are correct. I have also re-started Firefox with addons disabled (I only have one) and that made no difference. I have rebooted Windows...no difference.

This is on Windows 10 Pro, Insider Preview, build 17063.rs_prerelease 171213-1610.

All other audio works, directly from within Windows, and in all the browsers I mentioned. Just Firefox is broken.

Any other ideas? This is not life threatening, but is a real pain browsing sites like Youtube without audio.

Prior to upgrading Thunderbird to 58.0b1 the Theme Font size Changer worked. It is very, very frustrating to have my inbox window pane with a font so small that you need a magnifying glass to see the words Inbox, Drafts, Trash etc. I do not have any problem adjusting my fonts for messages that I write etc - that is straight forward, but there is no way to easily increase the inbox pane font size. Although very small, at least the words Get Messages, Write, Chat, Address Book have symbols that are larger. What can be done to make Thunderbird's Inbox pane larger? I really, really do not want to have to give up using Thunderbird but I will if this can not be fixed. I do not need eye strain and headaches from trying to see my Inbox, or the Subject line of an email that has arrived.
