Today my Facebook has no sound. My laptop has sound. Youtube has sound, NBC has sound, Amazon Music has sound, NPR has sound, it's just Facebook that is WITHOUT SOUND. So that is why I am wondering, does Firefox/Mozilla have sound settings that I might access to fix something like this?

I have already tried rebooting the laptop. Rebooting the browser. Rebooting Facebook. Thank you in advance for whatever help you might offer, Pamela

I have problems every time I try to fetch my imap gmail, with Thunderbird complaining that: "The certificate for imap.gmail.com:993 does not come from a trusted source".

As near as I can tell, imap.gmail.com:993 is still the recommended setting for

Version is Thunderbird 148.0.1 (64-bit). Adding an exception for the missing certificate does not seem to make a bit of difference.

I do not know if the use of Bitdefender as my security and vpn software is a factor. I notice that the certificate (exception certificate?) shown when I click on View Certificate in my gmail account settings appears to mention Bitdefender, so perhaps that's a factor. That certificate looks as follows:

Hi, I quite often find that sometimes Firefox will not work. When this happens I have to switch to Chrome in order to do what I want to do. Some websites don't work with Firefox.

FIDO2 Security Key (e.g. Yubikey) Support is entirely broken on Firefox mobile and has been for weeks. Screens that should pop up an interface to use my security key (e.g. after I've typed my password in to Google, in order to do multi factor auth) simply do not show the pop up. This is an absolute P0 issue that makes the browser entirely worthless as a default browser on a device, as many apps want to use Webauthn through the browser to do FIDO MFA. I will be forced to switch to an actual functional browser if this is not fixed soon.

I downloaded Foxfire esr version to get rid of goggle. I transferred my data from google. Now the Google search is showing up. Should I uninstall goggle to get rid of it?

Hyperlinks keep opening in new windows, not in the same/existing window where they were selected. Issue is not unique to Google Search results and occurring across multiple websites. At wits end trying to figure this one out. I have deselected the "Open links in tabs instead of new windows", turned off all extensions, and uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. Issue is still occurring. Attached is image of my tab selections showing all turned off.

I switched from Windows to Linux. I have signed in and tried retrieving bookmarks, browsing history and passwords, AFTER already having formatted my computer and deleted Windows. I signed in to the same account, had syncing on, but i can't seem to get any of the stuff back. I didn't have any additional backup files with those. Is there anyway i could somehow restore it all? The bookmarks are most important to me out of those. I'd be extremely grateful for any help

I have 4 email accounts with Thunderbird. When a message comes in it is posted on ALL of the accounts. What am I doing wrong? I use Dashlane as an extension in android Firefox on my Acer Swift GO 16 laptop. I use my fingerprint to log into the laptop but in the security settings in the Firefox Dashlane extension I see the message: "Your browser does not support biometrics. To use this feature, install the Dashlane extension using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge." I prefer to use Firefox.

Why is the option to use Biometrics (fingerprint in this case) not available?

I have saved relevant e mails to local folders in my Thunderbird account on my Applemac. I opened up Thunderbird on my MacBook and downloaded my Thunderbird account but it did not copy those local folders, merely 1 empty folder. Without these also shown in my Thunderbird account when I am away from home, I cannot see those records. I am struggling to find a solution. Are you able to help please? Alan Dowler
