When I receive calendar invites from other users, generally on Outlook, they appear in the body of the email. This means I have no means of saving them as .ics file to import into my Google calendar and have to create my own entry, often losing important information. I therefore have to resort to logging onto my bt email account on the browser where I can get the file in its correct .ics format and save it from there to import to Google.

How do I fix this and get the invite to appear in Thunderbird email as an attachment?

After the last upgrade, Firefox no longer saves my password information even thought I always click "Save".

In my Privacy & Security - "Logins and Passwords" settings, I have it checked to autofill. I am not using Private Browsing and the only extension I have is DuckDuckGo. I tried to remove that extension and try again, but it still would not save.

What else to check?

Hi. I was suddenly having unexpected problems to log in in a site (https://www.lanacion.com.ar/). So I updated FF but the problem persists. Then, I uninstalled FF, downloaded it again from the repository and installed again, but the problem persists. Then, I downloaded directly rom the Mozilla site, expand it in the desktop and double click the program icon. The program opened and I was able to log into the site I was trying to. Interesting enough, the browser opens a lot faster than when installed. My question is: everywhere on the web the response is "you have to install the program" or "the program is already installed in your distro", which is true in my case, but one day stopped to work properly. BUT I'm not installing it, and it works apparently well... ¿how can it be? Thanks in advance for your reply. -Enrique.

I mainly bookmark pages by clicking and dragging the URL to my bookmarks sidebar as I've always found this to be more convenient. After the last two Firefox updates, this method no longer saves the page title, just the page URL.

In the attached image, the URL and resulting bookmark from dragging it to the sidebar are circled in red. The expected title is circled in orange. An example of an older (correctly titled) bookmark is circled in green. This is not a page specific issue, as it happens on every webpage.

CTRL+D as well as pressing the star icon in the navigation bar still work as expected, bookmarking pages with their correct titles.

Hi

I would really appreciate any help as I am at my wit's end. Until yesterday I could use Firefox normally on a Windows 10 computer. But since today, all websites have failed to load, and I get a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR message on the screen. However, other browsers seem to have no problem (I'm writing this using Chrome). I have already tried all the possible solutions listed here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can to no avail. I tried connecting to another network, and it still failed to load any website and kept returning the same error message. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, and the problem remains the same.

I am a huge supporter of the browser and would hate switching to another option, but I do not see what else I can do to solve the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Save Thunderbird data/settings outside of built-in export feature?

Hi Forum Folke,

Wish I could tell you which version of Tbird I was running, but in switching OS's from Windows to Linux, that information got lost. It updated regularly, so it couldn't have been too far down the ladder from the most recent.

How can I save my address book and especially my email filters, without using the "export" tool? I just did that to try to make the migration easier... exported all settings and data, and when I went to restore it, the !^*%%$#@ zip file was corrupt and couldn't be opened. Everything... gone. Just great. First time I trusted the 'export' tool, and I got shafted. I managed to find an old copy of my address book (don't remember how I saved it) and got over half of them back... but I had over 300 message filters that deleted spam emails before I ever saw them, and the thought of having to go through all that again is really depressing, and irritating.

I don't want to have to go through this nonsense again; how can I export my address book and email filters as a file that I can save and hopefully retrieve at a future date?

Very much appreciated... now back to rebuilding those email filters to kill the 1000-plus apam emails in my inbox (after nuking windows and installing Linux as my OS of choice.)

Android 13 / Firefox 111.1.0

Since a short while it seems that Firefox for Android opens pdf-files directly in the browser instead of offering the download option (as it used to be). My Samsung Tab6 Light shows the pdf in compressed fonts, thus it is mostly unreadable. How can I download the pdf instead of viewing it? Or: How can I download the pdf to save it on my device? If I tap the opened pdf a function 'Share' is offered, but then when I try to share via Email nothing is shared!??

Thank you kindly for any support in this. Ueli (Switzerland)

Also I have NOT changed this password in years, so I don't remember what it is ! I have been using Thunderbird for years as I was a Netscape use & Thunderbird is a neat to use as Netscape was !!! Finally I am not too PC technical so even doing the IPV6 change was quite stressful !

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble adding Google Calendar to Thunderbird. I have added a Google account and all e-mails and some of the calendars have downloaded correctly.

The problem is that I can't see all the Google calendars from within Thunderbird.

In the Calendars section, I click on "+", select "Remote Calendars", enter my Google mail in the user name and I get an incomplete list of calendars (several are missing, including "Finanse", "Imieniny urodzinki", "ProgramyTV").

You can see the differences in the attached screenshots.

How do I correctly synchronize Thunderbird with Google Calendars so that all my calendars are visible? (I do not use any add-ons)

Recent update causes all pdf links to be opened in Firefox on Android with no option to download, and no setting to choose a default behavior. They're was another person who asked a similar question and was told to use the "Share" option and then "Save as PDF" - this doesn't work. Another advise given was long-pressing on the PDF link and choosing to save target - it won't work when I am pasting the pdf link into the address bar, which is how I do it primarily. I'm stuck using the Open in External App, which opens the pdf in Google drive, then having the option of saving the file. So many unnecessary steps. Please fix.

Hello everyone, I encountered a specific problem when adding a second mail account to Thunderbird on Win10. Maybe someone has a solution for this: On a windows 10 machine I have one account setup in thunderbird on a IMAP server we will call mail.example.com with the account name acc1@example.com. Now I wanted to add a second mail account acc2@example.com using the same IMAP server but with different login credentials.

But thunderbird complains that the server already exists and doesn't let me create the 2nd account. Is it not possible to have multiple accounts on the same server using different login/password on Windows? I read somewhere on reddit that users under linux don't seem to have that problem.

Thanks
