Hello I want to disable/hide or at leas make smaller the GIANT "detail" bar that shows up on the history manager and difficults reading trough the history. There seems to be no options available in the toolbar and can't find any on about:config either. Perhaps there's a key I can add in about:config to change this?

Thank you

TB 102.13.0 (64-bit)/macOS 13.3 (22E252)/2023 MBP, 16", M2 Max

If I take a photo on my iPhone 12 SE/iOS 16.5.1 and AirDrop it to my Mac, it's 3.3 MB:

https://www.kan.org/pictures/IMG_8281.HEIC

If I attach it to a message (as an attachment) in TB, the message size is about 4 MB.

If I copy/paste it into the message body, the message size balloons to ~22 MB. You can test this just by Saving the message to your Drafts folder; you don't have to actually send it.

Resizing the pasted photo within the message body doesn't affect the message size, as it appears to change the rendering without resampling.

The result is the same whether I copy on the iPhone and paste it into TB on my Mac, or whether I AirDrop it to my Mac, open in Preview, copy from Preview, and paste into TB.

Is there a way to resample the image within TB to reduce its file size without going through another app like Preview? Sometimes it's more instructive to have inline messages, exactly where they need to be in the body of my email, rather than having them as attachments. And copy/paste directly from my iPhone would be a great productivity enhancer if not for the size bloat.

Thanks!

How does one get their saved Pocket articles to show up after being logged in with my Firefox account?

Hello Mozilla team, provide a way for us to view our downloading file in the app itself and not on the notification bar, for me it doesn't help at all. If not so, then is it really necessary for me to lose my downloading file when I clear the Mozilla app from my recent apps? Isnt it supposed to continue downloading even when the app is cleared? Please solve this.

My Thunderbird program froze when I was deleting a couple hundred or more emails at once. Now, every time I open it I get nothing but the spinning wait cursor, and all I can do is force quit the app. I am running Catalina 10.15.7 on my Mac. Is there anything I can do to solve this short of uninstalling the app and reinstalling it? I have archived emails that I don't want to lose. Thank you.

/edit: moved thread from Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) to Thunderbird section.

Hello, Just the last couple of days I have been unable to view PDF documents using Firefox. The documents appear but all words and numbers have been replaced with symbols. I cleared my cache of cookies thinking that may have caused the issue but the problem remains. Do you have any other ideas to solve this issue??

When replying to an email that is sent to my alias address, Thunderbird uses my actual email address in the reply email unless I manually change it. This should be either automatically the same address the email was sent to or at least optionally selectable choice in preferences instead just always using my default email address.

Longer version: 1) I order something from Acme Inc. I give them my alias email in format of user@acmeinc.domain.etc. 2) there is an issue with the order. Acme Inc contacts me by sending email to user@acmeinc.domain.etc 3) I get the email. I reply by pressing the reply option in Thunderbird 4) Thunderbird sets my sender address as user@domain.etc instead of using the email address user@acmeinc.domain.etc the email was sent to 5) Before sending the email I will have to manually go and type in the address that I want to use so that a) my actual email address is revealed to automatic systems b) I can potentially be able to see who leaked my email address and where (marketing, spam, ..)

The format of the email address is not an issue. The email address used when replying is.

Please make it so, that when pressing the reply button the same email address the message was sent to will be used by default, or atleast add this as an option for the user to select in the preferences.

The fact that email programs have junk (e)mail options does not remove the fact that junk mail still happens and the actual solution is to remove unwanted junk at the server, not the client level (we have many, many, nice devices, don't we).

Change Thunderbird default OAUTH browser to chrome or ms edge

I've been trying to set up my office work account to work with Thunderbird (outlook.office365.com) and my company has strict policies when connecting to company resources using intune or Microsoft company portal

I've set everything as it should be but unfortunately the email client opens the Oauth page in some sort of preinstalled headless Firefox that is not compliant with the Microsoft Oauth configuration that is present.

The IT department suggested I set the default browser of Thunderbird to Chrome & install the Windows Accounts extension on that browser. I did as suggested, the default browser in Thunderbird is set to chrome however this error still persists.

Any suggestions/workarounds I can try ? Using Thunderbird V102.7.1 (64-bit)

I'm developing a PHP Symfony based website powered by nginx-full 1.18.0-6ubuntu14.4, one of the functions is to allow people to download a PDF invoice.

When it fails Firefox shows an alert "Downloading (Failed) The browser application closed unexpectedly."

On my linux desktop; when I use Chromium 114.0.5735.198 this functions works 100% of the time. when I use Firefox 114.0.2 (64-bit) the PDF download only works ONCE after that the download never completes and I'm left with a partial/corrupted 75.7KiB file named filename.Br-neZWO.pdf.part etc.

I have discovered that if I clear the firefox cache I can perform one successful download again. or I can restart Nginx and again Firefox will perform one successful download again.

I've tried altering many Nginx settings, cache, gzip, sendfile etc with no effect. It might be Nginx related but it does not effect Chrome at all which is why I've started this ticket.

Any help in debugging this would be greatly appreciated.
