I am a long time outlook user. I stuck with it for so long because it nicely integrated calendar, e-mail and contacts as well as the To Do List.

The sync tool that connected my Android contacts, calendar, etc to my computer Outlook calendar, etcetera is no longer viable.

I thought Thunderbird was a useful alternative. I rebuilt my calendar and contact list in Thunderbird on the PC, but now, I don't see any way to access that data through the Android app. What am I missing?

I logged into my email account and almost 3 months of my most recent emails had disappeared. I don't know what happened. They were there the last time I checked my email about 5-10 minutes earlier. I've looked in other folders but they aren't there either. Aso tried repairing the folder with no success. Is there a way to recover these emails? I've been trouble shooting / googling this all afternoon and kept seeing reference to a recovery tool. Is this something already on Thunderbird or software I need to purchase? I really want to know if there is a way to recover the lost emails and how to do it. Thanks.

My email storage server has a limited space allocation. Because I keep most emails for future reference/recall, I have been moving important emails to specific folders I have created in LOCAL FOLDERS. The LOCAL FOLDERS resides in a local drive in my main desktop computer.

Lately I switched from POP to IMAP so I will be able to access my emails on my phone, remote desktop at home & on my notebook when I travel.

Because of limited storage space allocation, only the main basic folders (inbox, drafts, sent, junk, trash, etc........) reside on the server & appear on all my connected devices (phone, remote desktop & notebook).

When I am on the main work desktop, everything works flawlessly. I have access to whatever information I need. However, when I am on the other devices, all I see are the basic folders that reside on the server.

Could you suggest a creative way I could take the LOCAL FOLDERS along with me when I am outside the office? I was thinking of mounting the LOCAL FOLDER in the cloud, if that is possible. I will be the only one accessing it (single user) so colliding versions should not be an issue. I was thinking of copying the files on to an external drive then restoring to whichever device I use but the problem with this workaround is syncing back to the main machine.....a lot of extra work & steps.

Today I am not able to send emails on my phone. Even a simple test msg is met with an alert and an email in the outbox. I have restarted the phone, and also cleared Thunderbird app cache and forced stop. I still get it. I sent emails last night no problem. I am able to send emails using domain webmail and desktop Thunderbird application. This is only on mobile android version 14. Thunderbird 11.1

wir haben ein Problem bei unseren E-Mail Entwürfen. Als wir heute morgen den PC angemacht haben, waren unsere Entwürfe verschwunden, gestern waren diese noch da. Sie sind nicht mehr auffindbar. Es ist als wären diese verschwunden.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Entwürfe wieder herzustellen?

I want to access local folders (with my archived E-Mails) from various devices. May it possible to Store the local folders on a File Server for this purpose? I Experimentes a little Bit, but without any success ... Maybe there are specific Add-Ons for it for Thunderbird?

A couple of days ago when I opened Thunderbird all of my emails in my Inbox before 18.10. where suddenly gone. All other files in my folders and trash are still there as far as I can tell.

First I thought they were moved but I can't find them anymore, they just vanished.

The inbox file in my profile folder is now 2MB in size, I have a backup from 2 years ago where it was 2,3GB so it must have been even bigger than that.

I believe there was a thunderbird update but it was so fast that I did not even notice at first.

I'm on windows 10 and thunderbird 144.0.1

I'm pretty sure my mails are gone, I was just wondering if anyone is in a similar situation and what could have caused this.

I am trying to reinstall email accounts that I have previously used but cancelled but when I try I am told there is an authentication error. What am I doing wrong.?

Hi guys, having some issues adding gmail addresses to thunderbir. get to pop up window to allow and after that I get the message Unable to login. Probably wrong configuration,username or password

I have just followed the TB instructions to move to a new Win11 PC, All seemed ok after, new emails come in ok but I am missing my address book and archive files. Any ideas please. Ron

I get the pop-up attached and the notification: "The current operation on 'Inbox' did not succeed. The mail server for account < --- > responded: [LIMIT] UID COPY rate limit... (it's cut off beyond that).

I'm getting this response regularly, although not every time, when creating new message filters. The filters simply copy and delete from the inbox to a folder on the email server.

The inbox that has several hundred emails and choosing a new or existing target folder makes no difference. It seems as if it can only process a certain number of emails and if the number is too high it aborts the filter.

FWIW, some of the filters run fine after the original emails are moved into the target folders manually - i.e. when new emails arrive they are properly moved.

The source is a Yahoo account. I have set the threads to 1 and restarted. I am using TB 144.

I am using Thunderbird V144.0.1 on a computer running Windows 11 Home build 26100. Suddenly, Thunderbird stopped displaying some of my Local Folders. I don't know what I did to cause it; I don't recall making any changes. On investigating the issue, none of the other help I found in the forums or elsewhere on-line worked for me.

While performing one of the instructions, I was trying to copy my Thunderbird profile mail folder to a different location before creating a new profile. Copying the folder gave me an error of a file name being too long. I moved the folder with the too-long file into a different subfolder with a shorter directory name. Lo and behold, all of my folders, including the ones I moved, are now appearing in my Thunderbird Local Folders.

I don't really need any help, but I wanted to post this solution since I didn't encounter it anywhere else.

I recently set up unified mailbox for all my email accounts under manage folders. I activated it for Inbox, sent, and trash but when I go to the unified folder it only show inbox not sent or trash folders. Why? The inbox folder portion is dispalying all messages by color code correctly.
