Thunderbird did an update recently to v115.15 and now it refuses to work with CONTINUAL "Not Responding" messages for every keyboard or mouse entry. I spent the last 6 hours trying to flag and delete messages and managed to get about 30 deleted and those were not one at a time. The same thing happened yesterday as well. The "Not responding is so annoying and is all the time now. I need to roll it back to a version that works. The "not responding" started with the last update but this version is totally unusable. The OS is Windows 7.

I cannot reach Thunderbird.com and need to reinstall the email program. None of my browsers will reach the Tbird server.

The new Ver 128 Thunderbird won't load and I keep getting error messages that it is not compatible with my computer. How can I get a retro download of an earlier version that does work?

I'm running a Toshiba _M780 laptop/tablet : 32 bit / x64-base with 4 Gb Ram ( 2.86 Gb usable) and Win 10 Pro 22H2 installed and KB5043131 currently downloading. I have 52.4 GB storage still available.

I had run a uninstall to clear a problem reported as "XPcom not loading" but when I went to do my re-install I kept getting V128 that just doesn't work.

Can I get access to either ver 115 or earlier that will work on my machine? I've had no direct email access for 8 days now and its getting critical. Perish the thought but I might have to go to Outlook!

Can Mozilla Firefox download apps in the play store lately? My Chromebook OS can't get the play store. I tried it many times and it still failed, so I gave up on using websites and others. My Chromebook is a lenovo 500e stylus model.

The newest version of Thunderbird was installed on my desktop (Windows 10) and laptop (Windows 11) In Windows 10 it appears to be extremely buggy. 1. Freezes if not used after about 15 minutes. Have to CTRL ALT DEL to stop and restart. 2. Leading up to that downloading messages seems to slow to a crawl. 3. Filters to message folders seem to work sometimes and not others 4. If I close Thunderbird with CTRL ALT DEL and leave it closed I get a popup message after about five minutes saying Access to X mail server timed out

None of these problems have occurred on my Windows 11 laptop

Since slipstreaming a current version each time appears to be a non starter I am trying to use the Stub installer that downloads (what I hope) is the newest version of Firefox each time its run in my Windows Sandbox no matter when I downloaded the stub installer file.

My real question is how do I get the silent install to work? Right now it always brings up the splash screen and a thermometer during the install. I would like to not see that each time I spin up a new Microsoft SandBox.

firefox installer.exe /? -h or -? shows me no parameters, and starts an install even If I say NO to allowing it to make changes to Windows. (which seems very odd) -Bill

I have used thunderbird for 40 years. In September my email carrier went out of business. My old email address was [edited] @fidnet.com. MY new email address is [edited] @gmail.com. I need to get Thunderbird on my new email. I have already paid for additional security under my old email address. How do I get thunderbird for my new email and transfer the additional security to it? I have been searching google on how to accomplish this and it is as clear as mud. I am not technically savvy, therefore need human support. I do not have a record of a password for my account. Hello to all, since I have updated the Firefox to the version 115.15 a notice showed up that this version is not compatible with Windows 7 / Vista, although I use Windows 11-22H2 on my laptop. What I can do to receive regular updates for the Firefox-Browser. Thank you in advance klk

I just updated to the latest version of Thunderbird on Windows 11 (64 Bit)

The updated version had no Folder Pane on the LHS, after a lot of adjustment I managed to get the pane back but it contains Folders I don't recognise and some of them contain emails dated around 10 years ago. No matter what I do I can't get back my original folders list and their contents.

The program is now useless because when I download new emails the don't show up anywhere!

Please help!

Is there software that will being me (more or less) up to date? I'm pretty much computer illiterate, so keeping it simple would be greatly appreciated. Buying a new iMac and transferring files is a last resort...
