I got my emails this AM then nothing. A Microsoft window keeps dropping down asking if I want Thunderbird and to make sure I have a verified app????

I accidentally clicked too fast and clicked to not allow pop ups again on a site I need a window to pop up.
I went to settings to make an exception for the website, but it still does not work.

I'm about to remove Firefox from my laptop due to unwanted popups from an explicit and aggressive site called chaturbate. I installed Firefox because I was told it's a more secure browser. I'm seriously questioning my decision now. Does anyone have any suggestions to stop this from happening and to avoid any new events from occurring?

In trying to resolve an issue with email apparently not connecting (receiving new message and sending messages) I used the Troubleshooting Information option and selected the "Clear startup cache" option which resulted in mail disappearing but leaving calendar and contacts intact.
I've attempted to Import the profile backup to restore mail but it has not restored the mail.
I have also tried to re-add the mail account but it stalls at the Oauth stage with what appears to be some sort of dialogue box graphic trying to to open but not opening so am unable to add mail account back that way.
how to unblock popups?
