Yesterday TB did an update and when I started the app today it was like I was using the program for the very first time. I had to re-enter my e-mail account settings, change the window layout (that took one hour) and now find a way to get my personal folders back. There are folders that I myself created and they contain saved e-mails.
Using my ISP's webmail service I can see that these folders still exist on their server. But despite all my one line research, I haven't been able to solve this problem. I did run trouble shoot, but that didn't help.
If anyone has any tips, tricks or other solutions, please let me know.

I know how to add a new contact to address list so don't need that again - that is the advice I'm given every time I try and find an answer on line - from your web site also. My problem is, that after entering new contact name and other details, the entry box for the email address(bottom of the list) is hidden (or the panel which holds those details is too narrow to allow for the email entry box to show.??). With the occasional problems I have, and the time spent sorting them out, I'm starting to think of installing another mail program. I will appreciate any advice you can give. Version 128.5.2esr / Mac OS 15.2 I've been using Thunderbird since 2006 and never had this problem before. The folders in one of my three accounts (iCloud) have suddenly become very unstable and disappear. I can restore them by checking the individual folders in Subscribe. They're OK at the moment, but I've had to restore them twice in the past couple of hours.

For some reason, thunderbird (windows 8) has essentially stopped working. Over a minute to open an email--all other functions have similar delays. I tried to archive, but I keep getting a message that says that a script has stopped working. It does the same in thunderbird safe mode. My old computer (XP) works fine. I can't find my profiles on windows 8 to rebuild the global database.

I'm running Thunderbird 102.15.1 (32-bit); still running this old version after reading how awful many people found the next update to be.
I POP my personal domain email to TB.
Beginning yesterday, out of the blue, I started getting the error which I'm attaching when trying to download my email. Absolutely nothing had changed. I made no changes either within TB nor to my computer at all. Computer reboots haven't helped.
What should my first course of action be to resolve this?

I recently sent mail to two (2) separate sites recently. One was a dot gov and the other a dot com. The multi-line text content of both messages has been replaced by the identical single line:

I haven't yet searched other messages for the occurrence.
What has happened? I need the original texts restored, and also to prevent any future recurrence.

Good morning, I installed Thunderbird - 128.3.2 - on a new computer with windows 11 PRO 64bit. My email is - carlofarioli@hotmail.com - the problem is that only the INBOX and TRASH folders appear. I can't find the SUBSCRIBE function to activate all the missing folders. On the old computer with windows10 PRO, Tunderbird 115.5.0 is installed and everything works fine...
