Hi, Firefox search bar is not letting me type search term in it, defaults to address bar. The only way i can search is to put search bar in next to address bar. Has this other search bar been disabled or is it a glitch after the update? If anyone could help that would be awesome.

Cheers

For the first time after 10 years, I can no longer access my PNC bank account using Firefox V84.0.2. This problem started just this Sunday Jan 24, 2021. I am using AVG and the Defender firewall. When I try to enter my account PNC tells me that it cannot find the code and tells me to use another browser like Chrome or Internet Explorer which I don't want to do. PNC tell me to contact Firefox as, "It is not their problem." But so far I have found nothing in Firefox to solve the issue whatever is causing it. I need help as I would rather not change browsers.

I have restarted my PC, checked and restarted AVG, checked the troubleshooting program, and reinstalled Firefox, but nothing seems to correct the problem. So where do I go from here?

Hello there,

So, my issue is that some websites, only on Firefox, are logging me out as soon as I enter my mail + PW.

Those are the right ones for sure, and I tried in Troubleshoot mode to see if the issue persists, and it does.

Hence my request here, did someone encounter the same problem and managed to fix it? If you have any idea about what's worth trying, I'm all ears.

Firefox updated to version 89 last night and since then I cannot properly view certain websites I use regularly such as BBC news and Vimeo (have uploaded pic to show). I have restarted computer, and turned off hardware acceleration and cleared cache and cookies - these don't help. If I start in safe mode it's all fine - I've disabled any extensions and themes and tried again but the problem is still there. All was fine before the update. Not sure what to do next.

I use the following crossword site:

https://thenewdaily.com.au/puzzles/quiz-crossword/

When I open it with Firefox, including the latest version, the "Help" icons are replaced by mathematical symbols. If I use Microsoft Edge, the Help icons are there.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Every time I search something on a certain website I get a pop up that says: "This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave — information you’ve entered may not be saved." This has only started happening since Firefox updated and it's very annoying. I use the website for work so I don't want to stop every ten minutes to click leave page.

In version 89, if you put a web address in a google search it shoots up to the top, showing you a list of what you have already looked at with that letter/letters. The problem here is that, like with everyone else, I get spam and phishing. To check if it is a real one or not, I usually put the address in a google search first which then shows if it is a possible real one or not. I tried this with a phishing email I got. I put in the address "therightcontact.org" into what I though was the google search bar and instead of displaying the google search, it instantly put it up the top and started loading the page. This could be disastrous for many computers if it automatically loads the page instead of a google search. I just tried and if you start typing any address in a google search, it shoots up to the address bar and starts putting addresses of websites that you have bookmarked or visited. If you wanted to see something for a train for example, it will ALWAYS show the websites you have up the top first. So basically you can not do any google search without it taking you to the list of the latest websites you have visited. My son is trying to search pages for his homework, but it keeps loading the same webpage every time he does a search. Is there a way to turn this off as it is very annoying not being able to do a simple search?
