First experienced: Friday, Sept 2, when using burpsuite/foxyproxy during a hackerone CTF.

When using other Vbox instances on the same computer I have the same issue. This issue is usually easy to duplicate when using dev-tools or by simply doing an image search and moving the mouse across the images.

Host: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS 5.15.0-47-generic #51-Ubuntu SMP Two different VGA controllers are present: Intel CometLake-S GT2 AMD/ATI Ellesmere Radeon RX

Crashes have seem to involve input from the mouse and scroll function within the browser. Once, let us call it a glitch, the crash can either take place while continually moving the mouse around the browser's page or immediately outside the page with the mouse. The "glitch" is a coloration, usually pink or lime-green with characters printed to screen and then disappears. I have been unable to predict when the glitch will happen, thus no screenshot to help.

Steps I have taken:

Googled on the problem which led me to learn about the Firefox about:crashes function.

Viewed about:crashes -- seems to be a Renderer issue linked to llvmpipe or Mesa?

Checked basic system logs for host and guest for anything evident: syslog, kern, Xorg, messages, dmesg, daemon, journalctl.

Used Firefox troubleshooting and extended troubleshooting.

Installed Firefox 104 with same issue.

Reinstalled VirtualBox.

Search on Firefox Renderer issue [from crash report]

     I turned off performance settings, still have same crash issue.

Last Report ID that did not fail to upload: bp-740acc47-0ed4-44a8-851c-ff21b0220905

Ultimately, I am unsure if this is a Firefox, VirtualBox, or Kali Linux issue, but Firefox is the one that this issue is having a severe impact on. My head is spinning at this moment due to all the logs and information I have digested over the weekend.

I am not too good with the computer and have just starting using Firefox. I will do my best to describe my question so please bar with me. I have 2 rows of websites that I frequent...actually only using the first row and 5 spaces in the second row. When I go to a different website Firefox is automatically adding that website to one of the boxes in the second row which I do not want. How do I stop this? Question 2...using Ebay as an example...if I keep searching on Ebay and have looked at lets say 5 different pages how do I go back to the home screen without having to hit the back button 6 times? I've gone through all of the steps to reset my Firefox browser and attempted to change my search engine from Duckduckgo to Startpage. Every time it works a couple of times then Duckduckgo hijacks the search engine back to itself. I've deleted this search engine, reset my browser, said yes to prompts by Startpage to be the default browser, and tried everything that I can think of. Very, very frustrating. And I start to worry about the security of the Firefox browser itself. Any ideas?

• The attached image shows Firefox (on the right) not displaying Helvetica correctly. It appears jagged and not pleasant to look at. The browser on the left is Edge and all Chromium based web browsers seem to render it as it should.
• I've tried to look into (about:preferences#general) and the option that says (Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above) is ticked.
• I've also tried reinstalling the browser, clearing the website cache and also, removing my profile from it. None of these seemed to fix the issue.
• It's been persistent for quite some time now, however I didn't really find any articles regarding this issue.

There is No PC Firefox search microphone icon in address bar and No PC Firefox search microphone icon in google search. I can tap Settings. Scroll to the Privacy and Security section and tap on Site permissions. Next, tap on Microphone. However, there is no search microphone icon on Firefox address bar or in google search to click on. Yes I did try in Safe mode and that worked until logging off and then restarting FireFox.

Since the most recent FireFox update Safe Mode no longer works.

I can still login to the site and perform some rudimentary tasks but when I want to edit/view a payment I get the error message as posted.

If I use my Tablet to login I have no problem although the Tablet uses Chrome and not Firefox.

I can try the tablet with FireFox and report back.

Is their a log file or setting list that I can send that will help.

I chose the option to open pdf files (for example) on Firefox. But Firefox first downloads them to my "download" directory and only than opens it with Acrobat. My "download" directory now is full with garbage files that I need to delete manually. Is there any good option how to disable this "feature"? I would prefer not to see all the garbage files at all.

I changed "browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel" to false. Doesn't work.

The video's play fine, but when I click off the browser into another app, the video begins to lag and stutter.

I've tried to mess with the Performance settings to no avail - also disabled extensions with the same result.

I tried everything in the message I received but there was no (obvious) way to reply. I will attach a screenshot of what is occurring. Search Baron is hijacking my web searches. If I specifically click on use google in the search bar then it works. If I just type a search phrase, search baron takes over (see the URL in the attached screenshot, that is what appears no matter what I search). I can open a web page fine.

I reinstalled Firefox and made sure that I had unticked the data and history boxes, and declined the search suggestions. Nevertheless, the first attempt at entering a search immediately called up millions of the things. At Chrome, I have learned a sequence of eight clicks, whereby I can, for just that one search, avoid those hideous suggestions. If I could have a no-click option at Firefox, I would stay here. Otherwise, can you tell me how to uninst... no, I can first have another look in Windows settings. Looked through the C drive, but I recall now there is an "uninstall programs" facility in Windows. So, if you are able to tell me how to switch off the suggestions, I will stay at Fireofox. If not, I won't. I can remember a Google (or Chrome) person talking on TV, about 15 yrs ago, about this new thing they had (search suggestions) that everyone would love. Hi! I recently made the switch from Chrome to Firefox and Im liking it aside from this one thing. When Im watching a video in full screen, moving the cursor to the top doesnt pop up Macs top bar (File, Edit, ..... battery, time).

This sounds like a banality but I mainly watch videos while getting ready, working etc, and I really need to see the time! Im used to always keeping the cursor at the top to see it. I searched around in settings and forums but didnt find any fix. The only solution seems to be to not use full screen which I think we can all agree just sucks in a major way.

I have edited my Settings so that I do not receive emails for any Watchings, but it has been 3 days I think, and I am still receiving forum threads. I just now removed the DownThemAll Watchings thinking this is what I needed to do until I am ready to get back into the issue. How do I stop receiving forum threads unrelated to DownThemAll?
