hello! hope you are doing well, I recently got this problem where the bookmark bar does not appear on my browser even though it is on the "always show" option, it appears when I first open the browser, but once I enter any site, it disappears again, even on new tabs, and when I try different options for the BM, it makes it appear for one use only. I tried looking for solutions on the internet but to no avail. can you help me fix it? thank you in advance!

No matter what I do FF always opens to the "Success!" screen and wants me to choose what tabs to restore. I have done troubleshooting mode, clean mode, refresh and complete uninstall and reinstall. Nothing works.

The reason I am here is because I am worried about the insecurity on internet. I have been using it for years but now I realize every single person is vulnerable. I honestly did not know how easy they can steal your information from your computers, or any device you use to surf on the web. And that is not right. I think that situation has to change and if there is any way I could help to generate a change i am here.

I am sick of the unannounced updates that occur without prompting me. Edge doesn't do this and I'm fed up with Mozilla unannounced updates. Going to uninstall Firefox because of unannounced updates.

Scrolling in Firefox is causing any webpage to scroll many lines at once with a single click, and it seems to be exclusively happening to Firefox, as every other application scrolls normally. I have tried searching here and elsewhere for a solution, and I have tried to change about:config settings based on the recommendations I could find to no avail. I have also tried to refresh Firefox and have used Troubleshoot Mode, but those too have not worked. I have no clue as to what could have caused this, as I have not been messing with any settings prior to this.

I posted a couple days ago, but what I posted was confusing and convoluted, so I am trying to be more concise this time. I need to have the Thunderbird (TB) eMail on both my work and home computer. It is already on my work computer and I have copied the TB eMail to a USB according to what I found on here, and have checked and all the files appear on the USB. I have tried to get the TB eMail on my home computer now, with that USB, but can not, no matter what I try. I have downloaded the TB eMail from the Mozilla site to my home computer several times; deleted it to try again; and have cleared everything out every time I do. However EVERY time now, I am getting an error message that the Profile Setting Can Not Be Found.....specifically it says " Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." in a pop up window. I don't know how to get rid of this so that it does not pop up every time - because again, it pops every time even after I delete the TB completely. If someone could guide me on how to get the TB on my home computer without that popping up, and how to proceed from there, because I do have all those files on the USB, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!! When I try to go to my webmail I sometimes am presented with a Deceptive Site Ahead warning.

I am quite happy that although the SSL might not be current that the website is safe for me to go there. How do I stop this annoying feature from activating?

All - there are enough questions on backups/restores that I don't want to load everyone down with an involved question, I'll try to keep it simple:

1- Using Mozbackup utility - appears to generally work fine and handy but continues to a) restore old accounts long gone (i.e. not present in Accounts list when backup file created with Mozbackup and b) does not restore complete set of new accounts (via Imapmail\*.com account files I take it). I am guessing that if any *.com account file is still sitting in \ImapMail folder and included in the .pcv file Mozbackup will try to restore this and set it up in Accounts list, so I'm going to try deleting all obsolete account *.com files before I do backup this time. Question remains about the non-restore of newer *.com account files though, which WERE present in \Imapmail folder at make backup.

Also, restore does not carry account server info into new accounts list, just the placeholder account name (in the list in Accounts pane on left). I have to repeatedly re-enter server info, re-establish connection, etc. Deficiency in Mozback or is this a safety thing?

2- see attached pic. Either Mozbackup, or something, is creating number-incremented copies of the account *.com files, with the newest (present time) copy having the highest added -# onto file name. Why is this and is it old to delete earlier/old dated files?

I am getting the feeling that it's safer/wiser to just manually backup-recopy all \Imapmail\*.com files (and *.msf files) into \Imapmail folder as per this post:

I have noticed that my browser saves certain data that was filled into forms on websites such as contact info, or 2FA codes. Of course, the all options for Logins and Passwords as well as Forms and Autofill are turned off. So I wonder, what causes this behavior? I would maybe think these are some cookies, but after clearing them and deleting all site data this still happens. For 2FA codes this is harmless. but I'm concerned Firefox may do this for passwords too. Anyway, why would I need to save info of TOTP?

Please my firefox appears to have crashed, or is not working how can i fix it. As i try to open firefox document a dialogue box appears saying that either the firefox is not designed to run or that i should reinstall firefox. Another dialogue box opens saying couldn: load XPCON

I have 2 pop email accounts on Thunderbird 121.0 (64-bit) Win 11. I have just discovered that when I send an email from Account 1 Sender appears as my account 2 address and this change is causing me a great deal of pin. How do I send an email from Account 1 containing my account 1 email address for response. I obtained a new email address as I was going under with trash arriving and this seems like a recipe for the same. Thanks

I've just tried to save something from firefox on linux(Manjaro KDE) and was baffled that there doesn't seem to be a way to manually enter the path and navigate to it in the save dialog. In addition to that, there are many locations missing and I can't seem to find a way to add new custom or favorites ones either.

All that combined means it was impossible to save my file directly to a network location, which is something I very often need to do. It just seems insane for such a basic feature to be missing and I've found a 4 years old thread about it meaning nothing has been done to fix this since? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1279125

The only way I can see would be to mount the network path(not a good solution for one offs) and navigate to it(a symlink can make it closer to one of the existing shortcut but still annoyingly require more clicks) every time but that's very tedious since most of my saving is on a specific server drive.

It's a pity that we reached version 102.1.2 and till now a common problem has not been solved. In email composing window when misstype a word there is the red indicator for mistakes and then by right clicking we get the correct proposed words. In event creation we get only the red indicator for mistakes. Nothing more. It's a pity a so much advertised version to lack such a basic feauture.
