automatic updates are installed for Firefox (3.6) on Windows 7 every 2 days - is this normal?

Every time i open a Firefox window i have zoom in the window via the menu bar (or Ctrl ++). I have to do this every time after I open a new window, or a new tab. It is annoying and tiring. How can I set the level zooming in, so that it will apply for all tabs and windows, and save it?

I cannot get my toolbars back and I don't have the option to choose "view". I clicked on each one to remove them to do a print screen and thought I should be able to restore them when done, but I'm not finding anything that will let me do that.

I closed my file/edit/view etc and the address bar, and now there's no way to open them back up again. No way to get to internet tools, etc. Whenever i right click anywhere (the same thing i did to close them) i either get options for tabs (as i'm clicking on the tabs bar, the highest point in firefox now that there's no other bars) or just options for web pages when i right click them. there's nothing i see that i can do without reinstalling and losing all of my settings. Help?

I installed the latest Firefox and now have no status bar or any kind of bar at the top, just a "reload current page" icon and a back arrow.

When trying to forward and e-mail or retrieve it from "drafts" more often than not only the heading will appear and the space where the body of the e-mail belongs is empty. If I try repeatedly - going out and then back in to the e-mail - I can eventually get it and successfully send it on. If I send it while the field is blank the person receiving it will just get a blank e-mail except for the address and subject line.

Just below the toolbar, Firefox is telling me "Downloading the latest applications" - what is this and how can I stop it. It's been running for 2 hours.

Windows says FireFox needs to be updated but cant be because two instances of it are running, that's not true. Happens every time I open FireFox

How to delete the websites which i visited earlier. As soon as I start typing www, for opening new website, the old previouswebsitesvisited  appearas a list  as I start typing w itself Please explain how to delete the old ones.

when i log in to this web site it opens the game screen. when i then want to go to a different location in the game. it resets back to log in screen again. but it works ok on all other sites.

I have a "new" computer and downloaded firefox. Before I could get all my bookmarks and get a real homepage of my choice, "Alot" took over without my permission, made itself the start page and changed the toolbars to suit itself. It removed the "worded" tool bar (the one with file, view, tools, bookmarks, etc. in print) I want it back! how do I get it back?
