In all webpages, including Firefox settings pages, text appears like poorly chosen Cleartype settings. This does NOT apply to the menu and Address bars, nor the drop down options in "Which topic best describes your question?" that appears when asking a question here. Troubleshooting mode does NOT solve this, however switching profiles DOES, so I imagine there is a setting responsible for this however I've reset all font-related settings I could find. I've attached a screenshot of the result on this page. Choosing alternative fonts does NOT solve this.

FF is offering up possible login names for a particular site I have used previously even though I have removed all related browsing history, form data, and cookies (and cleared the cache). What am I missing? Is it using stored history for unrelated sites to guess at a user name, or is there some other hidden history I need to clear?

Dear Mozilla, I have enjoyed Firefox and I always appreciated the vast headline stories recommended in the past. Recently, there seems to be a change where every recommended article requires a paid subscription, i.e. Slate Plus, I already pay WAPO, NYT, WSJ, San Diego Union Tribune, Arizona Republic that i cannot afford to pay each and every website. I would be very happy if you could tell me where in my settings i can set it to show only free articles or perhaps my screen could show a little green dollar sign saying if article was behind a paywall. thank you for your time in reading and assistance. Thunderbird has not been downloading messages for primary email, [edited]@netscape.net, since March 4. I can't locate where in TB the password is stored for the account.

Hi I am new to Thunderbird -previously used gmail. I have installed Thunderbird and it recieves mails as it should, but the mails only stay in the inbox for short time and then disappears ?

If I read the mail then I can find it in read mails, but the mails also disappears from that folder?

Must be a setting problem, but cannot figure it out.

I suddenly can no longer get my Gmail to appear in my Firefox browser. (I CAN get to +use Google.com, but when I try to go to https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox", I just get a blank white page.) I did not (to my knowledge) change any settings or have some strange thing happen. Please help!

bold text all my passwords seem to have disappered on my desktop, I checked my mobie app and they were there. there was a message to sync this morning on sign in.

My Firefox shortcuts keep disappearing: this is an almost daily occurrence. Sometimes they re-appear later without any intervention, sometimes they re-appear after a reboot. Right now, after rebooting and 'fixing' Firefox from Control Panel, they are still missing. I have 4 rows configured for both shortcuts and recent sites, and had 'pinned' about 20 shortcuts. Currently on Windows 10, soon to upgrade to Windows 11.

Can someone PLEASE tell me if there is a fix available for this (will it be resolved in Win 11?), or if there is a way to easily save and restore these backups when this problem occurs.

The ability to have 32 shortcuts is the motivating reason for my using Firefox over Chrome or Edge (which only allow 8), but if they keep disappearing like this I'm going to have to re-think my browser selection.

I have been experiencing significant issues with Firefox for the past couple of months. The main concern is high CPU and RAM consumption during video playback, especially on YouTube.

This issue started appearing only for the past month or two; it was never present before on the same system, and no significant hardware changes have been made.

Crucially, this problem is exclusive to Firefox. I have tested video playback on other browsers such as Google Chrome, Brave, and Microsoft Edge, and do not face any similar performance issues with them.

Your assistance in resolving this is greatly appreciated.

4 lines of recent activity all changed and the more commonly used ones are gone???? yet others are there that ive used once. WHY? i didnt delete cookies or anything similar

I just upgraded to the latest FF version 147.0.2 64-bit and now the video's on Facebook stop playing when I change to another window. As soon as the FB windows is not selected (in focus) they stop. Going back to the FB window, the video can be restarted.

Can you please investigate/fix this? Thanks!!!

All the folders, Inbox included, disappeared from one of my outlook accounts. It's OK everywhere else so I decided to remove and re-add the account in Thunderbird but now I can't add it again.

I get the error. "Authentication failed. Please check the username and password Exchange auth error"

I know the Username and Password is correct.

Solution appreciated, please.

Windows10 simply multiplies the numbers of active Mozilla Firefox Apps which are open. Every day for about two weeks I've been having to delete hundreds of Firefox Apps open in the Task Manager. So many open in a very short time it locks up the Win10 system. I've attached a pic

Hello, I had 2 open firefox windows on each of my monitors. I was doing work and at the end, I closed every window on my PC. When I came to the firefox windows I closed my "secondary" window first and it said "would you like to close 3 tabs" and I clicked yes. That is pretty normal, when you have 2 windows. Then I closed my "main" window the one that is always restoring when I open firefox and it also said "you're about to close 20 tabs". Once again, sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesn't, but it always knows to restore it, so to me it's normal. I put my pc to sleep and I the next morning I turn on the pc and it opens a blank homepage. I think nothing of it, so I go to try and restore it through the history and that doesn't work. I go online to look how to restore it and it says everything about backup on the profiles folder. I go there and it isn't showing the files that I had, just the ones that I used this morning. I try to change the firefox profile to see if that window is in another one it isn't. I had hopes that it wasn't erased because that morning when I opened a window and I had more than 1 tab it said to me "would you like to close 4 tabs" and that always happens when there is more than one window open. So in the end I abandoned to recover the tabs I just could do it from the history. My WHOLE history that I collected for the past 6 years is gone and all my cookies. I have Firefox Sync and it shows my history on my phone, but when I go to sync it, it still doesn't show. I need help with at least recovering all my history and cookies; Bonus points if you can try to recover my lost window. Thank you!
