When I updated to MacOS Tahoe 26.0, Firefox prompted me to autofill security codes received by iMessage. That happened once or twice and then stopped working. I just tried it in Safari, and it does work. So, something is wrong in the handshake between Firefox for Mac 144.0.2 and MacOS iMessage. Here is how to replicate it.

Login to a website that requires two-factor authentication. Have a security code texted to your iPhone. When that text appears in iMessages on a Mac linked to the iPhone, there should be a small popup asking if you want to insert the security code into the web page. In Safari, there is. In Firefox, there isn't. This feature appears to be broken in Firefox.

On many of the sites that require hardware key for 2FA, what I should get is a prompt to press the Yubikey button, but instead I get a technical error. This has happened with logging into Google and Vanguard. Both use Yubikey as a 2FA.

I did not encountered this issue on Micrsoft Edge. I am running this on Windows 11 24H2. I believe it used to work.

Several years ago I created an account for Firefox Sync. Meanwhile I changed my mail address, the old one, with which I registered, has been deleted as I just realized. So I can no longer access the code to login on new devices. What am I supposed to do now?

This is common lately. On a website they say we will send you an email to validate your email. This was with Costco for one. I click in the box so they can send me an email, then I go look and there is no email. Tried many times to no avail. Other websites too, like, click the save 10% coupon then we will send it to your email entered on the website. No email received. By the way it doesn't seem to be a pop up blocker issue.

I am running the latest version of Firefox, using Last Pass extension, and signing into Bank of America US website. I've done this for years. I use a FIDO device to authenticate transactions but now I am no longer able to do that. Each time the system asks me to use my device, I get an error message saying if failed (even before pressing the device) and my only way to get out is to force quit Firefox. I am able to execute the transactions successfully using Safari as my browser with Lasspass and the Fido device.

I have called the bank and they cannot see any issues on their side.

I'm working on a Macbook running Sonoma 14.7, I have firefox on autoupdate. I do not have any passphrases saved for Bank of America.

Hello, thanks for any help.

I am trying to initiate a Mozilla scan on my iPhone, where Firefox is installed. iOS is 18.7.2.

I begin my login to my Mozilla account, and then in the next window, Firefox (correctly) calls for my 6 digit code from my Authenticator.

BUT, when I "leave" the Firefox page, to go fetch the code, Firefox keeps opening a new webpage, and I lose the page where I would enter the 6 digit code.

I had the WSJ.com as my homepage, and changed this back to the Firefox homepage. This did not solve the problem

I'm exhausted. I'm not a techie, but not a newbie either (after many years).

When I want to login with my Firefox account it asks me for a code as 2 factor but I can't remember that I ever signed up for 2 -factor . I have 2 apps fro 2 factor: google and Microsoft but neither has Mozilla identification in it. I would like to sign up for 2 factor but it looks like someone already did that for me. What now?

Hello, On March 1, I worked with the Mozilla help team to create a recovery key. Now that I need it, it says it is an MS Dos executable file, and that I can't run that file on my computer. I have tried a few workarounds from google, but really I just need my recovery key. I thought maybe this was because wordpress is no longer available on Windows PCs but I can't open it in word either, it just keeps saying it's an MS Dos executable file.

I really need the recovery key because I can't access anything on one of my computers. Can you assist?

Thank you Frances

I cannot receive confirmation codes from yahoo to access my emails. I have tried everything else and have been advised to check with my browser (Firefox).

I arrive at 'Enter verification code' and given 3 options; I use 'Text' via my Android phone. I don't do social networks.

It has been working grand up until the last 3 weeks or there about.

I have very important emails waiting and it is all driving me crazy.

I cannot access Yahoo help; it seems I have to log in which I cannot because I need to receive these codes to log in.

Can anyone help? Personally I think it should be Mozilla but again I seem to be going around in circles. And I cannot receive emails as the check box states ..... Email me when someone answers the thread.

Best Regards Everyone

I cant setup my 2FA every time Im at the end of the process where I need to add one of my security keys it just crashed with note that my time of the device is not corrent or whatever. Why, how, what does my time has to do with anythin? Nepodařilo se zapnout dvoufázové ověřování. Zkontrolujte, zda jsou hodiny na vašem zařízení nastaveny na automatickou aktualizaci, a začněte znovu.

Tried like 25 times with different autenticators. Is it like broken or what is happening?
