Hi - I am receiving strange code instead of message via thudnderbird.

For instance in thunderbird I can see this code: --Apple-Mail-B3D821E7-DE68-441A-B1BC-700C9510C7FF--

But when I log in to my online inbox I can see the content of message etc.

Is there anybody who can help with that?

Thunderbird email system has become so bad at blocking outgoing emails both private and business as suspected spam that it is beyond the joke; if this keeps up i will be forced to stop using this system.Ive had all settings checked by computor tech. Jim .

I have successfully used Thunderbirds for 10 years on my 2013 Mac BookPro. During the last 6 months I've had a number of instances when Thunderbirds could not connect with the server. (See attached image). I have found that hitting the Cancel key and letting the system sort itself out was the best option as I always managed to download my emails. As of the 16 Sept 2024 this has method has not been successful and I have had to resort to Mail on my iPad. This is not very satisfactory as all history and contacts are with Thunderbirds. I need a solution to login to my Thunderbirds account. I've not changed any settings or passwords. I'm running Norton 360 security on all computers in this household and have for 15 years. HELP!!!!!

Hello, I have experienced an error when I click on the inbox of my domain email address. My email *******@meditationwithjason.com sends and receives mail though Thunderbird with no issues yet I get an error when clicking on the inbox. I attached a screenshot of the notification. Hopefully it's just a small issue I can fix on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i do not use tb any more. i've been using gmail web site for a number of years. I have transferred all my emai files to gmail, so I don't need tb any more BUT when I use windows explorer to 'send copy to', it opens tb. so, how do i fix tks

Hi. so microsoft has been SPAMMING and THREATENING me for months now that soon i won't be able to use microsoft accounts with "old" login. i guess they refer to app passwords. i just now updated thunderbird and it automatically changed all microsoft accounts to oauth2 and then it pops up a new window asking me to login.

so first time i logged into all of my microsoft accounts via thunderbird's pop-up window, it asked on every account if i want to allow thunderbird to do this and that, i clicked ALLOW. all seemed good, but then i restarted thunderbird and then it asked me to login AGAIN for all microsoft accounts. i manage over 20 accounts and this is seriously frikking annoying logging into all of them all the time. i have 2-way auth enabled with codes, so i have to keep copy-pasting those codes aswell.

why doesn't thunderbird remember the logins? even now as i'm writing this message, thunderbird popped up the login AGAIN, i didn't even restart it. wtf? why is it doing that? is there some setting or what is the issue here? why doesn't it remember the logins?

NOTE: i have custom windows 10, there MIGHT be some permission issues somewhere, but i have no idea where. thunderbird saves data just fine for other emails, such as gmail and yahoo for example. it's just microsoft accounts that no longer work. ALSO THEY USED TO WORK with app password, but on 16th this month microshit stops supporting "old" login methods, so they require oauth2 and thunderbird doesn't seem to be able to remember the logins.

can someone help? what is the issue? how to fix it? thanks.

It all started somewhere around 3 days ago when I logged in in the morning and 3 messages/mails were all showing the same thing: "------=_NextPart_000_0545_01DAC090.4F1C4F90--". The restart doesn't work. Then while the app is opened and more messages come they all work properly, it is just when I start it the messages that came when I was absent are not showing properly. I don't know if there is any way to reload those messages or something like that. Please help if you know any possible solution. Thank you in advance

Overnight lost almost 1300 unread emails. To my knowledge, did not delete them, they are not in Trash or Junk, even checked WIN recycle bin. Nothing. Any ideas, suggestions?

New policy (in France) only allows SMTP server to accept mail from addresses of the same domain that the user.

Ex: smtp.orange.fr only accepts mail from *@orange.fr Ex: mail.gandi.net, when user is foo@domain.tld, only accepts mail from foo@domain.tld

Issue: it is not possible to use email aliases anymore (ex for project email, such as *@php.net, *@fedoraproject)

Proposal:

Allow to use user login in mail envelop (in "MAIL FROM:" for SMTP protocol, so as return-path) instead of profile email (which can be an unallowed alias)

Tested from CLI, it seems to work.

In Thunderbird, sometimes I get empty emails, where I have a single message something like this: --=_swift-4237422295d790f35b16c49.66966381=_--

If I login and access the webmail platform, then I can see the emails fine, but on my computer I get that line of code.

It does so for a while, then it recovers.

What is the problem and what can I do to prevent this from happening again?

When in dark mode, forwarded emails: • Are not in dark mode notwithstanding that new emails are. • Bear no resemblance to the email being forwarded whatsoever, with boxes all over and colors completely different not only from those in the email being forwarded, but also from those specified for emails being sent. • Resist configuration of body text, so that not only is the background white instead of black, text remains white or a very pale yellow but illegible in any event.
