Hi TB community. Recently the company my website sat on, got sold. Since then I am receiving emails, but cannot send them. I think my passwords in Thunderbird and the SMTP no longer match and this is the problem (see attached message). But I'm no techy, so I can't be sure I'm right. Any advice you can offer will be great!!!

The enter password dialogue box to open thunderbird to receive and send messages is now very slow to popup. This occurred after the request for donation hijacked the program functionality. Email colour scheme also changed. Any thoughts to rectify please ?

When I log on my Daily Caller account it says I am logged in, but when I go to the comments section I am not logged in and unable to comment. No amount or signing in changes that. When I go to Google Chrome all works fine. What's going on? Why can't I stay signed in to comment on Daily Caller when I use Firefox? Should I just go back to Chrome?

Hi, one time i visited my companies jira website and i accidentally typed my password in the user field and pressed ENTER. Since then everytime i open the jira website and click into the username field, my password is displayed as "username-suggestion". How can i remove this. I already removed all cache and cookie data (1,5gb) without any success. Please advise.

Recently and after so many years, thunderbird released an update after which one could see at wish, passwords as they ere being typed. Now we have gone back to the old days. Why? Was it an Executive order from Emperor Stokes in WDC? or is it a bug? Thank you for all your help and Endeavour. Without you guys life would not be so easy through the web.

I use a ps changing john with my first name and somesung telephone to use MY MPO to claim of illness expences of my mutuality of my organisation EU.

I had to change my passwordI what I have done.

On pc it doesn't work because I have always to chose among all old masswords This worked on my phone then now no more and I have to reinitiate.To do that I receive an open

 window which I had to fill with QR.

I tried to fix from the image of MY PMO which appears

on my pc.No result.

What to do?

I am using Firefox 130.0, 64 bit, with Duckduckgo search engine and TB 128.0.3. I have six email accounts with my Internet provider CTI. I use the same password to log into CTI. I select: "Enter your password for (account name) on mail.pa.net." I select: "Use Password Manager to remember this password." That one login activated all six of my accounts. Using earlier versions (V28) of TB, I logged into only one account on CTI and all six accounts activated and remained active until I logged out at the end of any session with CTI. Now the passwords must be entered individually for all six accounts and each account times out after a few minutes of inactivity, then I have to relogin for each account. What happened between V28 and V 130 to change that procedure and can I fix it? CTI explains they did not change anything on their end. Thank you, D. Gordon

I recently changed my password to a passphrase. Thunderbird 115.16 ER Linux could not/would not handle it. By changing to a password based on the passphrase, Thunderbird sometimes works fine.

I followed these directions but in "Roaming"! What do I do now?

I Menu app icon > Help > More Troubleshooting Information

   Under 'Application Basics' - Profile Folder - click on 'Open Folder' 

This opens a new window showing the contents of your current in use profile name folder.

   Exit Thunderbird now - this is important. 

Look for the following files and delete them.

   cert8.db - obselete file
   cert9.db - currently used file
   key3.db - obselete file
   key4.db - current used file
   logins.json - current used file
   pkcs11.txt (some people report this file missing)
   secmod.db - obselete file
   session.json
   xulstore.json 

See next comment before you start Thunderbird as you need to empty cache files.

Start Thunderbird

Add yahoo and make sure all the settings are correct. Make sure Authentication Method is Oauth and user name is full yahoo email address.

Report on results.

ADDITIONAL Whilst Thunderbird is closed - after you have deleted the files mentioned previously.

access : C:/Users/ User Account/Appdata/Local/Thunderbird/Profiles/ Please note this is the Appdata 'Local' location which the computer uses as a cache. Be sure you are in the 'Local' and not the 'Roaming' Delete the contents of the 'Profiles' folder.

then start Thunderbird. keep having to reset my secure key password and tried this in "Roaming" instead of "Local" Help!

Ive followed all the links, read all the forums Ive even un installed and reinsatlled. my email end outlook.com, I receive all emails on outlook, however all my work files and folders are on thunderbirds.

Ive checked my smt ports to ensure theyre all good, Ive deleted password and entered a new one but still not working.
